Black Friday Week Q&A

Eric Deeran, Evan, and Ethan answer questions about scaling a video production business through the holidays. Key takeaway: don't pause ads during Black Friday week because prospecting now pays off 30 to 60 days later. They also discuss testing creative, building funnels that book calls, and a limited five-spot coaching offer ending Nov 30.

Let's see here. Pull this up. Sweet. I'll let you guys start commenting there, but we'll get started. So I know it's a little bit of a lighter week. A lot of people are kind of tuning down. We got Boston over here. Devin's from Boston. What's up, Devin? I know a lot of people are tuning down. I wanted to talk about what we call, like, separation season. Right. And, like, I want to talk about what a lot of people are doing at this time of year and how they can actually get ahead if they put in the work and if they put in the time. And Evan, Ethan, I'm sure you guys have heard of this, but it's just like, what do you notice a lot of people who are struggling doing at this time of year? Like, what are you seeing?
Well, I guess a question that I get asked a lot during this time of year is, should I turn my ads off? And I'm always like, no, don't turn them off. Like, keep them going just because you need them cooking and working. Well, because that's what everybody thinks, right? Right. Everybody at a particular level, they think like, oh, I can save some money on my ad spend by turning them off. But then it's like, okay, well, a.
Lot of companies are looking for p. They're looking for ways to spend their budget before the end of the year.
Yeah.
Tons of them. Right. So, like, for some people who are just kind of like, they're like, oh, you know, let me settle down. Let me kind of, you know, tuck her down and just relax for the rest of the year.
Yeah.
There's one group of people who do that, and then there's another group of people who get ahead for the new year because, yeah, I mean, obviously we talk to a lot of people. It's like the fitness goals, the business goals, whatever it may be. It's like, I'm going to start in January, and like, that's fine, but realistically, it's going to take you a couple months to really get things rolling and start in January, you're really going to see traction in March. Right. But if you start now, you actually start to see traction in January. And this is a perfect time when your competitors are starting to slow down for you to start taking over. Right?
Yeah.
And it's a good way to get ahead. Right. We got San Antonio, Texas. We got Zach Bowers on here. Let's see who else. Can you share some screenshots of some of the funnels of the folks that you have helped? We can't show you the exact screenshots because that is their information, and we don't want to just give out their entire funnels. But I can show you a breakdown, and I have a bunch of videos on YouTube on how that actually works, and we can talk about that in a minute for sure. But, yeah. Ethan, what else are you seeing as far as, like, people who are slowing down this time of year? Like, what. What do you see some of, like, the. The limiting beliefs that they have around that, like, what's popping up?
Yeah, I would say kind of like, you know, we're talking about just people pushing to next year, wait until next year. Turning ads off. But people are spending money. It's Black Friday.
Yep.
The money is flowing.
Yeah. I mean, and that's. That's just. I think it's a lot of limiting beliefs people have where it's like, oh, you know, people are not spending money. They absolutely are. And if you want to set yourself up for a big January, a big February, the.
The.
The prospecting starts now. Like, yeah. The work. Like, for you to see the fruits of that labor of any marketing campaign or any sort of thing, it's going.
To be 30 to S. Yeah.
Before you see any fruits of the labor of any marketing or prospecting that you're doing. So, like, if you slow down now, you just need to expect that in 30 or 60 days, you're going to continue to have a slow period.
Right.
Yeah. It's a huge flawed mindset I see people go through. And honestly, it's super frustrating because then they wake up and they're like, okay, where are all the leads? Where all the clients, like, where did they all go? Yeah, sorry, guys. My camera's getting fixed here. But it's like, it. It really does come down to. It's all the effort you're doing now is what you're going to see. You're going to see the fruits of that in, you know, 30 to 60 days. But, Evan, maybe you have some thoughts on that as well.
No, it's. I mean, you're. You're nailing it on the head there. It's really the.
The.
The best equation to it is like the gym analogy.
Yeah.
Like, if you want to see. You know, if you want to start seeing the abs, then you have to put in the work 90 days prior to. To start doing that. There's other things too, like, you know, eating right or, you know, testing more ad creative. Right. To be able to do it. But. But I think that's just where a lot of people get stuck is they just. They. They get into this mentality that, you know, they can't. Like some. Another. Another shade of it, too, is like, well, I'm not able to interact with the leads that I might get during this time or whatever. But I think it's.
Why not?
Well, it's also. Yes, but it's also like, if somebody opted into your funnel on Thanksgiving because they were sitting around on their phone, like, I don't think that they have the expectation that you're like, right there, like.
It'S pouring on top of funnel. Right. It's like it's getting people into the ecosystem.
Yeah. And that's all the. That's all the goal is. It's not about closing a client through your ad because that doesn't happen. It's just, you know, that's just not.
Yeah. Like, no E commerce or anything. Like, option. And then the same day you close them. Like, it is a. It's a buyer's journey. That's why it's a journey. Like, they opt in. They want to see more work from you. They want to see more case studies. They want to get to know you more. But it's like if you. Again, it's, It's. It's a lagging effect. So, like, if you stop now, you're going to see the effects of that of you stopping in 60, you know, 30. 60 days.
Yeah.
Let's see. San Antonio people are calling in from. Sorry, I'm just reading some of these on Instagram. Preston said. Heard y' all are the real deal. I don't know, Preston. I feel real, but you never know, right? You're a videographer in San Antonio. That's awesome. Where'd you hear from us? Or who'd you hear about us from? Preston, I'm curious. I'd love to know if you drop a comment down below. Ryan said, what kind of mics are you using? You guys? They sound Gucci. Well, this one's a Rode NTB plus usbc. What do you got over there?
Mine is a.
Sure.
I just got it, like two weeks ago. It's a MV7 plus.
Nice. Okay.
Yeah.
Ethan, what are you rocking over there? I'm at a.
Ports on my. On my Mac, but I've got a. I've got a road studio mic there.
You Go. You just gotta, just gotta plug it in. We just gotta use it. Yeah.
Upgrade to a Mac studio.
There you go. 100. Yeah. And that's the thing is a lot of these businesses are looking for like write offs and stuff at the end of the year. So you just guys get it. You gotta get them in top of funnel and honestly it's pretty simple to be able to get them to spend money because they're incentivized to do so if they have extra budget.
Right. 100% write offs.
So let's see what other questions. I didn't even scroll down.
Hold on.
Okay, cool. Sharpest Sony prime and Zoom you guys can recommend. Evan, what's the best Sony?
I mean I don't, I, I'm not a gearhead. I'll put that right front and center like.
Yeah.
Because also too coming through this program as a student all these years ago like I was shooting on a Canon T3i.
Yep.
And a kit lens. A little nifty 50. Like it didn't it? I got, I, I lived under the fallacy that like I had to have gear to have better image quality. And that was going to be the thing that sold my stuff. When you know you can do a lot with your phone these days and it doesn't really matter. But since switching from being a Canon user to now a Sony user, I literally just use one setup. I have an A7 III and a G Master 224 to 70 and I literally use that for everything.
There you go. 100. Yeah. Yeah. It's not about the gear. Like you need a base level of gear. I mean I'm rocking like an R6 with a Sigma 18 to 35 Pro.
Yeah. Perfect.
70 to 200. Like that's like you really don't need anything crazy. That's usually good enough for you to start getting clients content but it's more about what you're shooting with that. Right. So like if you're shooting ads, it's more about how you script the ads. It's not about how great the quality of the content is. Like it's more about how you get your clients results not about the actual gear that you're using. Right. So that's the biggest thing there. Ryan, don't get too wrapped up in the gear. Focus on making money closing those deals and then you can buy as much gear as you want once you close as many deals as you want.
Right.
So a hundred percent, that's that, that's ultimately what it comes down to. What other questions Guys, I see Some people here on Instagram. I see some people here on YouTube. What questions do you have about around scaling your video business, getting more clients. And then if you guys want me to, let me know if you want me to go over our Black Friday offer and we can go over some of that as well. But I'm only going to go over it if you guys want me to. But what are some other things you're seeing, Evan, like people are struggling with and maybe we can start sparking some conversation with people. People and maybe some things that are relatable for them.
So I always pull from. I can't remember how old it is. I think I, I dropped it in our Slack community. I think it was in the middle of this, this last summer. Right. But it was a, it was a Hermosi podcast where he was talking about the amount of inputs that it takes to actually be really good at something.
Yeah.
And he was talking about, you know, when he got with a certain YouTuber on, on a call and he was Talking about the YouTuber asked Alex to send over his like, prep kit.
Yeah, I think it was airac he grew up over. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And he was saying, what do you mean? Like the note on my phone that I keep for my video planning. He goes, well, just send me over what you have.
Yeah.
So he sends him over this thing and. Or Alex asked for him, for Eric to send him one of his prep kits and it was like 22 pages of, for like a 10 or 15 minute video or something like that. And then that's when Alex had the, you know, the epiphany of like, oh, this is really what it takes if you want to have certain amount of success.
Yep.
And I just see too often that we just, you get, you know, one or two ads up and then it's kind of like, okay, what's going on? Why? Or something. Why. Why is it not doing, you know, what you guys said it would do? And it was like, well, it's. I think you said this to a few people this last week or I think it was yesterday. It's a process, not an event.
Yep. Right.
And you have to go through that process with, if you look at it with more events, right. Like the actual ads being events themselves, that's where you're going to see more of a potential and quicker return with what it is that you're doing because you put more pieces into the inputs into the process. And that's how you. It's just, it's laws of averages and probabilities.
Well, and it's like, I mean, I was talking. I did a case study with one of our clients, Max, on YouTube yesterday, and like, he had spent 800 bucks and had closed 113k in video deals in the past month. Right. So that's just in. In 30 days time. And we went through a decent amount of testing. We went through a decent amount of creative testing, audience testing. And that's. That's one of the things that we help you guys with.
Right.
So it's like, I don't want people to think that this is a magic pill. It takes work. You have to show up, you have to do the work. But once you have that system, you have something that you can literally turn on print money, bring in more clients, right. On demand, and then you can turn that and cycle that as much as you want. But it takes, you know, with the. The other side of that is it takes some time to get there.
Right.
So it takes some time to. To test. And I think, like you said, people are not willing to test, but it's like all it takes is that one ad or that one creative that hits starts bringing you qualified leads and qualified calls, and then you're booking calls, talking with people who want to work with you and turning those into clients.
Right.
But it's worth the work to do that, because one ad could last you a year. I've had ads that last me an entire year.
Right? Yeah.
And then like with Brayden, one of the clients that, that I was. I was talking with earlier today. He's crushing it. Yeah, he's crushing it, dude. And I think the big thing with Braden, too, is, like, he comes in, he does the work. He does exactly what we say. We're what. Whatever we say to do, he doesn't drag his feet. He gets it done in the timeline that we specify. And I think that's the big thing between people who are successful and not successful is when they're given an action, they take action immediately, and they do it immediately. Right. You even see people like, like, you know, and, and disclaimer, it doesn't matter if you join our program or someone else's. It doesn't matter.
Right.
But it's.
I see the same behavior on sales calls with people who are looking to join this program, and they're like, they, they're. They're pitter pattering. They're going back and forth and back and forth and back and forth. It's like successful business owners make decisions. That's it.
Yeah.
Either yes or no, there's nothing wrong with. No, there's nothing wrong with. Yes. Right.
They avoid distractions too.
Yeah, they avoid distractions. They make decisions quickly and they focus. Right?
Yep.
Which I got this from Dan Martell. I like it. It's follow one path or it's follow one course until successful focus. F O C U S. And I think a lot of people lack focus because they, they see all these different things and they're changing their decision making every single day. And like, the best way to be unsuccessful is to literally never make a decision. Or if you do make a decision, change it five seconds later. Like, that is the best way to be unsuccessful. And I think a lot of people struggle with that. And the people who are successful are the ones that say, hey, I'm going to commit to this, I'm going to do it. I'm going to make this work for me instead of will this work for me.
Right. Yes.
And like with Braden, he's booking calls with law firm owners who are doing anywhere between four and $10 million a year from ads.
And his ads, if I'm not mistaken.
They'Re shot on an iPhone.
Well, they're also the. Just the basic framework that we give. Like, he hasn't. Like, I know with Max, we went through the basic framework.
Yep.
And we had to. Then he changed to a new creative where he was more social, proof driven. And then that's the one that started kind of crushing it for him. But again, that just goes into trying different things.
Like imagine like once you get that thing working like he has.
Yeah.
He can spend 800 bucks and make 113k back in retainers. Like, like what, what return are you going to get in the stock market? That can, that can do that.
You can't.
Right, Exactly. So I just think a lot of people A, give up too early. A lot of people B, can't make decisions quickly. And that's why they're. And they're, they're settling in life because they're not willing to, to make those decisions quickly. Right. And, and like we say every single time on these calls too, guys, like, this is not a magic pill. What we do is not magic. Like, it takes work. And the people who are successful are the ones who do the work and follow what we say and they don't question it. And I was, I was watching one of my buddy Eli's stories earlier today, who has a similar coaching program as me, and we met up in Vegas a couple weeks ago, and he was like, yeah, one of the biggest things that we see is, like, the people who are successful, they don't understand always why we're giving the advice, but they just follow it anyways and then they get to where they want to go. Right. Because you don't always have the context to understand the advice that we're giving because you don't see the other side of what we see. Yeah, right. Like, even with Brayden, he booked a couple of calls. He's like, maybe I should change something.
I'm like, no, yeah, don't.
Also with Funny Story with Max, before he closed that 73k deal. 73. He closed 73k in one single day. It was last Thursday. On Wednesday, him and I had a meeting and he's like, I don't know, man, maybe I should try some new creative. Maybe I should turn the ads off. Right. He had already closed a 40k deal for Matt, so I was like, why would you turn. Yeah, he left them on. He booked two more calls. He closed both of them. It was a 43k and then a 20k, and he closed both of them literally last Thursday. And he was like, thank you for telling me not to change anything. And I was like, that's why we're here, because, like, we can see what you guys can't see. Just like, there's people doing $100 million a year. They could see stuff I can't see yet right there, transparently. Right? So, like, it's just. That's kind of the value of coaching at the end of the day, where it's like, you have. You have people who can see things ahead of you that you don't see. Because if you could see them, you would have been there already. Right?
Yeah.
And I love, you know, got to. I think someone said something the other day I thought was really funny, and we always, like, just make jokes about it sometimes, but it was someone who was like, talking with someone from our team about potentially joining, and they're like, you know what? I'll just. I'll. I'll get back with you guys if I run into any trouble. It's like, well, are you generating leads right now? And he's like, well, no, I'm in trouble. We are in trouble. Yeah, I thought. I thought I threw that in there. Nick. Nick says, does market size matter when running ads for yourself? It does, but. Nick, maybe drop a comment down below. What. What market are you going after? Yeah, So I can give you some better. Better context there.
Because if it's dying, then you're not.
Yeah. Already newspapers or like, you Know, print publications of any publications or something crazy like that.
What market you're trying to reach as well?
If you're targeting, like, underwater basket weaving, then, yes, probably wouldn't work. Best one, but, yeah, Nick, let us know. Like, what. What market? Like, where are you? And then what. What types of clients? Smaller population size. So I'll tell you an extreme version of this. Graham, who's good friends with all of us, he is one of the clients that. That has been through our program. He lives in. It's Maine, right?
Maine.
Yeah.
Maine. Lives in rural Maine. Literally. Population size, maybe, I don't know, a couple hundred thousand. Not even that. I don't know what the population size of Maine is. Has done. I think he's on track for half a million this year, maybe more. So, like, he lives in a very small city and population isn't. Isn't an issue there. So it really just depends on who you're targeting. If there are businesses nearby and you don't live in the middle of the desert, then, yes, this will work for you. Right. So it really just comes down to having the right messaging, running the right ads, and then having an offer that people actually want and then driving them in and booking a call with them.
Yeah, we had. We had another client. I'm blanking on his name. I can only remember his business name. It was Bite of Brownie. Jared. Yeah, he's. He's one of the ones that I always point to because people say, like, well, when are the ads going to start working or whatever. And he's. He's one of the only ones that I point to where I've seen somebody come in, run two creatives, and then had to turn it off because he couldn't handle just talking to everybody that came through. But it's because he lives. He lives in Texas here. He lives in a small little town. And as soon as you start running ads in a place like that, you're like. You're literally like a celebrity.
Yep.
So it's like he just started, you.
Know, just take over because there's no. No one else. Right.
There's no competition. Yeah. So it's.
Yeah, that's funny. Yeah. You're in Hawaii, Nick. We've had a couple of clients in Hawaii, actually. Do you remember anybody's name from Hawaii? I think it was, like, a little while ago. Ethan. We've had like four or five people come through the program.
Oh, I know Jordan. He did podcasting.
Yep.
The other one slipped in my mind, but I know, like, real estate, like Luxury real estate is big out in Hawaii. Yeah, obviously. Anything to do with tourism and travel?
Yeah, I mean I've, obviously I've been to Hawaii. As far as the, the market, as long as you're targeting a business, like businesses around there, you're, you'd crush like, because there's not a lot of videographers. And that's the other plus to this is there's not a lot of video companies or video production agencies that are advertising or know how to advertise for themselves. So like one of the big benefits here is you can literally crush your competition because they don't understand how to run ads, how to get leads, how to book sales calls, how to pitch a retainer based offer. And like you can literally take over the entire marketplace because you have a system. Right. Nick, let us know if you have any other questions on that too. I'm happy to, happy to answer. Anything else you got there. Let's kick it over to Instagram here. What questions do you guys have on Instagram? I see Kyle, I see the last real company. I see Kashif, I see Parks Gore. I see. I think that's Eric Claus, Flensburg. Who else? Where are you guys calling in from and what questions do you have around scaling your video business? If you're just joining us. Absolutely, Nick, you got it. And then Nick, do you. One last follow up question to that. Do you run like, do you work with all types of businesses or are you just working with a specific, specific type of avatar or niche? Let us know in the comments there. Let's see, let's see. But yeah, it just takes some creative testing like we said. Right. So I think a lot of people just give up too early on that. And then, you know, the people who are successful who have done hundreds of thousands of dollars with us, like it comes down to testing the creative and following the blueprint that we have and not deviating from that. You know, all different industries. Yeah, for sure. So Nick, this would be something that obviously we need to have a longer conversation about, but like would really come down to us finding specific niches within that and really making sure that we're targeting the right types of people there. Right. Because the success of the funnel really depends on how you're targeting. And some of our clients have more success going directly into one vertical. You run funnels for yourself and other companies? Yeah, for sure. It's funny, dude. It's like, it's, it's the, it's like I see a lot, I see this a lot. It's like people run funnels for themselves or for other companies, but they don't know how to do it themselves. And like, it's kind of like the doctor can't diagnose themselves. You know what I mean? And it's, it's, it's normal. Like you can't coach yourself.
Right.
I have, I have coaches, I have mentors that I hire who are way above me. It's like you could do it for other people because it's a different business. But a lot of times, you know, we've had a lot of people come through the program who have run funnels and ads for other people, but not for themselves. And they never got it to work because they don't have any examples specifically for companies like. Right. But anything you've seen there.
In terms of like people doing it for others but not themselves.
Yeah, yeah.
I see with a lot of short form content, people do it for other people but not for themselves.
Yeah, yeah.
I mean, yeah. In terms of. Yeah. From an organic standpoint of making content. And I think that, I mean, I think that's also too something that I much was like when I first started. Yeah, right. Like I was so used to being on the other side of the lens that I never got in front of it and thought about marketing myself. I was always stuck in this, like, well, I have to do it for other people and that just shows what I'm worth. And yeah. You know, to. The easier way to show people your stuff is you just getting on the other side and saying it like. Yeah, but it's a, it's, it's kind of like a culture shock. You know, it's the same as like culture shock. When you go somewhere, when you get in front, it's hard. Um, but it's only by. And going back to the gym analogy, it's only by doing it over and over and over again is how you really grow those legs and that foundation in doing it. And unless you commit to it, you're never gonna have success with it.
Yep. A hundred percent. Yeah. Yeah. I've seen a lot of people who, they do it for other people, but then they struggle for themselves just because of that, that outside looking in mentality where it's like having a coach to, to do it. Park Score said. In terms of niches, I've seen people target things like Christian business owners thoughts on that sort of thing. Like, can it work? Because ideally those are the sorts of people I like to work with the most.
So I'll say that. And this Is like what my current coach says too. Like, you really align with like who you kind of are. Right. Like, so he's like, so I remember he said this at our collective a couple of months ago. He was like, I coached the bros. Like, that's what he said. So he's like, everybody that I coach, we all have this kind of same mentality and we, we act in certain ways. And he's like, the ones that have super success with me are the ones that also move the way that I move, speak the way that I speak and hold themselves kind of how I hold myself. And I think that's really important too, because that is, that's when you're like super aligned. Right. It's really hard to get somebody to. And I'm don't, I don't want to put words in your mouth, Eric, but like, like you were saying, like really trust you in the process, like almost blindly.
Right.
It's really hard to do that when somebody doesn't align on certain things that you align on. Yeah. Rather, you know, whether or not you're telling them the right thing or not, they have a hard time trusting and believing you if they don't mesh that well with you. But I think it's really important that anybody that either you're getting coached by or taking advice from or whatever, you really have that alignment there. Yeah.
Yeah, I think that's a great point. Let's see what other questions, guys. And if you guys want us to go over the Black Friday offer for five people, let us know in the chat and I can do a quick overview of what that looks like. If not, say, hey, I don't want to hear about that in the chat. That's fine either way, if you have other questions about scaling your video business, let us know. We're happy to answer those. We got three, four minutes here left. See, I don't have the ability to put thousands into my business at the moment. So how might I reliably scale over time until I'm able to put a lot more in. Into investment and make it snowball? Ethan or Evan, you guys want to take that? I'm gonna rest my. Rest my voice first.
I'd say do some work for free. Get testimonials and use those to charge higher.
So you can also do like I did. I took out a ten thousand dollar loan. Put your back against the wall.
My first coaching program, I put 12 grand on a credit card. I'm not saying that's what everyone should do.
No, I'm not either But I'm just saying, like, you'll. You'll find it's. What are they? It's like the.
You'll put yourself in a situation where you find a way. And I think some people need to know who they are, though, too. And I'm not. This is not for everyone watching. This is not financial advice. Do not.
A hundred percent. A hundred percent.
We're not telling you to do that. All I'm saying is that some people operate well under pressure and when they have to get it done, and some people operate well when they don't have pressure. And you just need to know who you are at the end of the day and how you make decisions, right? Because, like, if nothing changes, nothing changes. And I think a lot of people will go into 2025 the way they went into 2024, not making changes, not making commitments, not doing the things that they said they wanted to do because they didn't put themselves in a position where they have to change, right? To grow. You have to be different than you are right now. And I sound like a Tony Robbins seminar over here. But, like, it's true.
It is.
So you have to change who you are. Like, you cannot be the same person. And you. Like, if you want to stay where you're at, there's nothing wrong with that. But a lot of people don't want to stay where they're at. They want to change. And you have to force yourself and put yourself in a position where you make a radical change. And it's scary, and it's hard, and you feel like, oh, what the heck am I gonna do?
Right?
That's how I made my first million is like, I literally put 12 grand on a credit card. I joined a coaching program. It was Dan Henry's. Ethan and I joined. Did not have the money. I was a server at a country club. I didn't have the money. I couldn't do it, right? And I just found a way to do it, and I did it. And literally within. What'd you say, eight months, Ethan? Nine months, right around there, we did our first million, right? Because I. And. And we saw the same people who joined with us at that time complaining, eight months later, complaining about things, not doing the work. And Ethan and I were just like, how can we make this work for us? How can I make this work? And then you put in the time, you put in the work, you make it happen, right?
We did. We did everything they told us to.
We did everything they told it. Like, they literally made one tweak to what we said on a sales call, and it made us 30 grand in a day. Like, that's. It's the little hinges that swing the big doors at the end of the day. That's really what it comes down to. Right. So it's like. And I'm not saying, you know, channel 518, that that's what you need to do. I'm just saying that's what we did. And, you know, sometimes you have to put. Put yourself in a position to change. And I think it's scary, but that is. Humans hate change.
Like, they hate it.
We hate changing. We hate doing things we hate. You know, we don't want to change, but a lot of times we have to. Media application group said, I see your ads all the time.
Sorry.
Assuming you have a great roi. Sorry for I'm annoying people in there.
Come on.
I always make the joke. But assuming you have a great ROI with your ad spend, what's your initial experience with dialing messaging that you spoke about to your avatars and seeing success within your KPI?
Yeah.
So messaging. I'll use an example. One of our clients, Jeff, he was running ads, like, for his speaker. He was trying to get online coaches and speakers to do video work for. And like, the problem was, is he was using messaging that spoke to beginners. And so you really need to make sure that you understand who your ideal avatar is and what are all the things that keep them up at night, what are their pain points, what are their problems? And then you make content around that. So hopefully that makes sense. Reason I ask is I'm about. Is I'm script writing and preparing to commit to ads, but I'm nervous as shit. Yes. So, number one, with ads, you have to have a good offer. So you have to figure out who is your ideal avatar. What's the offer?
Right.
It's number one. Number two, you have to make sure that your messaging is correct in the ad. We give our clients a full ad script breakdown. We work with them, we make sure the messaging is good. Because the last thing you want is you launch ads and you spend 10, you know, you know, five, 10 grand, and you get absolutely nothing back. We hear horror stories like that all the time. Right? So, like, you want to make sure that your. Your ads are structured properly, and then you're running them not to your website. People run it to their homepage. You want to run it into a funnel where you collect name, email, phone number, and then you go into a value video and you get them to book a call. So there's. It all works together. So I don't know if that answers your question, but, like, you need to make sure that all of those things are in line. Kind of like a pipe. If any part of the pipe is clogged, water's not going to get through. Right. So let's see. Talk about Black Friday. Evil E. I don't know how to say that. Evil man. Comedia park score says, talk about the Black Friday. Okay, cool, guys, I'll talk about it real quick. Let me share my screen. One second.
I actually have to jet, you guys. I have another call that I have to jump to.
I'm gonna be here by myself because.
Y' all have a great Thanksgiving.
That's fine. Yeah, you're good. I don't want to hear about the Black Friday.
I know. I'll be coaching some takers of it, I'm sure.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know. All right, peace out, guys.
Let me drop this here. I'm gonna be by myself. Hold on. Okay, let me know if you guys can see this. So, Black Friday Special. I'm just gonna cruise through this real quick, guys. If you want to learn more, there should be a link. You can either you're on Instagram, you can go to the link in bio, and you can book a call just when you book a call, or if you book a call, make sure in the notes you say Black Friday Special somewhere. So my team knows that you want the Black Friday Special. So what we're doing. So here's kind of an overview of what we're going to do, right? So number one, we're going to build a custom retainer acquisition strategy. This is where we're going to build a full sales strategy for you. Keep and land those 10k retainers so you have a proven system to bring in those clients. Right? And these are the exact same systems that we've helped our clients and ourselves generate over 25 million in client revenue. Number two, you're going to get a private one on one strategy session with me. So for most of our programs, you're working with our coaches and you're working with me on group calls. But if you decide to move forward on the Black Friday offer for five people, I'm going to give you a private one on one strategy session where you can work directly with me. And I normally charge $5,000 for this one session. The third thing is, we're going to go over an inbound system for generating leads and calls. We're going to give you the exact same system that we have used to generate millions of dollars for our business going over how to attract and convert. It's plug and play. This is done for you. We're going to give you this entire system to generate leads and calls on demand. And then we also have our ads and sales coach, which is Evan, who is literally just on here. You're going to get direct, direct access with Evan on one on ones and, and directly on. We have daily group calls. We have, we have over 18 group calls every single week going over sales, offer fulfillment and then anything else, advanced scaling, anything else you need. And then we're also going to go over the hiring playbook, which is where we're going to give you our complete hiring guide to find and onboard the right team members like salespeople, closers, setters, editors. We're going to show you how we hire editors. We're going to show you how we train editors, how to hire shooters, videographers, account managers, everything. And obviously I'm not going to go through all these. You can go on our YouTube. These are linked directly to this. But this is how. Nick closed 147k, Mike closed 72k in 30 days. Julian closed 216k, Randall closed 100k. These are all video case studies you guys can watch. And then there's a ton more on the YouTube channel. So if we add all this up, total value is 41,000. But for Black Friday, you're going to get this at a fraction of the price. And like I said, this is the same system. This is a screenshot of my hero tracking. We've booked over 10,000 sales calls using this exact same system. This is literally just for our business and we've generated over 64,000 leads. So if you guys want to learn more about this, I'm done with my pitch now. So if you want to learn more, you can click the link below or if you're on Instagram, you can go to my bio and you can schedule a call with our team. Just make sure when you schedule the call, you put somewhere in the application that this is for the Black Friday offer and I need a drink of water. But this offer goes till November 30 or until the five spots are filled. So that's the Black Friday. I will shut up now. If you guys want to learn more about this, let us know. If you have any questions, I'm going to be here for another, I don't know, five, six minutes. If you have questions about Black Friday offer, if you have questions about how to scale your Video business. If you have questions about literally everything or anything, I'm happy to help. Let's see, I got Max on here who just closed 73k last Thursday. Max, if you're on here, drop a comment in the chat, let everyone know that man's the, the, the man over here and he's working on scaling to 100k a month. So I'm excited for him. Let's see. What advice would you give to a new TV network just starting? James? I would. We don't really help with TV networks, to be honest with you. So I. If you can give me more. Like what are you struggling with? Like generating leads, getting clients, booking calls. That's the main. We mainly help people who are looking to go after like B2B businesses or like small to medium sized businesses and get them on retainer to get more clients. So that's typically what we help with. So if you have questions around that, I'm happy to answer that. What else? Guys, give me a second here. I'm gonna, I'm gonna get a drink of water, but if you guys have questions, let me know. Happy to answer them. Let's see, let's see, let's see. What other questions do we have? See Max, I see Josh on here. What's up, Josh? I see Yan Media Media Applications Group says it does. Thank you. You got it. Absolutely. What else, what else, what else? Steven's on here, one of our clients. What else? Guys, what other questions do we have? What can I help with? We are actually doing B2B for small businesses interviews on our network. Okay, cool. Yeah, James, So for that it just depends on how much you have for like funds. Right? So like if you can, if you can do like 20 to 30 bucks a day in ads, I would recommend running ads to those people and actually getting them to opt in because then you have an inbound lead instead of having to go outbound and cold call and chase people. So I would set up some sort of ad, something we help our clients with obviously, but like set up an ad for small to medium sized businesses and advertise like getting interviews on your network. And there's more nuance to actually setting that up. But if you have any questions on that, let me know. Should I do JMO production? Should I do in person, business pitching or ads? Which one is more predictable? So when it comes to like business pitching in person, just tough because like you can only go to so many businesses in a day. I like running ads to zoom is way more scalable. So I would Focus more so on running ads to your business to get booked calls on Zoom or Google Meet and then taking those calls and then eventually turning that into having a salesperson take those calls so you don't have to do that anymore. Sorry guys, this is glitching. My cord's all messed up today, but that's what I would do. It's more scalable to do it over ads because you can do it online and then there's not as much of an investment on your end where you have to actually go to the business and go in person. So see how do you know which niche to focus on. So I would pick any sort of service based business. Right? So like lawyers, home service, home improvement companies, med spas, Anybody like that typically has the money to pay you. Because they charge for a, a service above like thousand, two thousand bucks, they typically have more profit margin to be able to pay you. What you don't want to target is like coffee shops, mom and pop shops. And then the other side is like we don't necessarily, necessarily go over Fortune 500 as much because the sales cycle is way longer. So like small to medium sized service based businesses that sell something over a thousand, two thousand bucks is usually the sweet spot there. Let's see, we were setting up cold calling campaign. Thanks for your input. Yeah, for sure. I would just run ads to get people's lead info and then call the leads when they come in. That's going to be the easiest way because then they expressed intent, they reached out to you instead of you cold calling them and reaching out to them, which like nobody wants to be cold called. This system will work for every type of business. So we mainly work with video agencies, if that makes sense. So like we mainly work with people who are video agencies who want to get more clients the types of businesses that they want. Yeah, it pretty much works for any type of business that they want. I don't know if you mean like if this works for any type of business or if it's just for video businesses. It's just for video businesses. Looking to get small to medium sized businesses on retainer is essentially what we do. As a film school alumni, what advice would you give for thriving in the industry? Well, just depends on your goal, right? Like do you want to be a, do you want to work on set as like a freelancer or do you want to run a business and serve businesses? So those paths are just completely different depending on what you want. Let's see what else. Guys, I gotta run here in like two minutes. So, any last questions before we wrap it up? Writer and director. Yeah, so I don't really have experience in that, I'll be honest with you. So writer and director and run a business. I mean, the business side, I would just be focusing on an offer for like some sort of service based business and then show them how you're going to use video to get them a result in their business. Evil. For example, automotive industry. Yeah, for sure we have clients targeting the automotive industry with the system, it's just we're running, we're running direct ads to their, to this market and then getting them to book a call. So as long as the person you, you, as long as you're acquiring clients through booking a call, then it will work for them. And as long as these people are on social media, which they are, people at the end of the day are the ones on social media. And so as long as they are on social media, we can target them and get them into the funnel. So. All right, guys, well, that's all I have. Again, if you want to learn more about our Black Friday offer. Sorry, my camera's going haywire again here. If you want to learn more about the Black Friday Friday offer, let us know. Should be a link below this, this video on YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook to book a call. If you want to learn more on Instagram, you can go to the link in my bio and you can schedule a time there. Just let us know that you came from the Black Friday Special and my team will make sure that they get you taken care of. James, best place to run ads. Last question. Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, best places. Cool. All right, guys, that's all I got today. Let me know if you have any questions. Great hanging out with you guys and we will see you, I think next Thursday. So everybody have a good Thanksgiving, hang out with the family, eat some good food and we'll see you in the next one. See you guys.
Ain't coming. Wait and see. It's a good, good Sam.
