Eric Deeran rigged a Ronin 2 gimbal with a RED camera and anamorphic glass onto a moving platform, then slid it across the floor to fake a dolly shot. The result: a smooth downward-to-upward tracking move that looks cinematic without the gear.
All right, so this is a video from a behind the scenes clip. We didn't have a dolly at the point, so we got a. We had a Ronin 2. We had a red. We had some atlas anamorphic glass on there. And we basically took one of the moving pieces, like for couch movers and for heavy lifting, and we put the Ronin on there. And I basically slid it across the floor to get this, like, downward, upward looking shot. But yeah, it's pretty funny. And we basically were able to achieve a really cool shot with just using what we had around us for this piece. Be the future.
