What's going on guys? I'm here with one of our clients, Brandon. Been in the program for a little while. Just hit 30k. Mrr. Started at you said 0 full time job and now you're at 34k a month. Dude. How does it feel?
It feels surreal.
Yep. Weird.
Yeah, weird. It's like I can't believe there's all this money keeps falling into my account. How's this happening?
I love it, dude. Well, for anybody who doesn't know you, can you briefly tell us like who you are, what you do and just give us a little bit of backstory.
Sure.
Brandon.
Link. My company is Harvest Creatives. We do video marketing for home service contractor businesses. Prior to my own business, I worked in television for about 10 years. Never broke more than I think 70, 75k in a year and doing anything in my career and since then it's looking a lot better.
I was gonna say. Dude, that's insane. Like it's crazy. I love to see it too. I love, I love as we're working and like your close rates like 60 something percent right now. I know we looked at that. It's like I just love seeing that climb and seeing you continue to grow. But I guess like what was kind of the biggest problem you had prior to joining the program with us?
Dude, I. I'm just being completely honest. If. If I didn't join Master Filmmaker, I didn't have a business. Like I would not be where I'm at.
Right? Well, don't give me all the credit, bro. Like you did the work too, so I want to, I want to tell everyone that too. Like you did the work, there is work involved.
But if you are serious and you want to build an actual business, like this is the way to go.
Before the program, were you taking on clients or was it just nothing?
No, I had like a couple family members in real estate and I saw just kind of like help them out, random one off videos. People knew I worked in television, I could edit and shoot. So I would just do random stuff. I'd like just. No, I wasn't like I had no real business.
Okay.
Everything I did was like based off my job.
Okay. And you're doing, you were doing video at a church, was that correct?
Yeah, media director as a church. Since then they've, they're now under my business business. So I'm a contractor for them. Which.
So with that included you, you're at like 40amonth, right?
Yes.
Okay. Because they're so. I didn't count that because I Thought they were. I thought you were still like in there. But they're technically a client now, right?
Yes. Because my business has exploded so much. I was just like, look, I. We have to do something because I have this, my new business that's grown so much, like, how can we rework and, you know, make my position? And they saw the value in that.
Yeah.
So we were able to agree on a contract and now they've just become one of my clients, dude. So it's beneficial for everyone.
Killing it. And I guess, like, why did you. There's a lot of good programs out there. I guess, like, why did you maybe choose this program over some. Some of the other programs? Like, what kind of steered you in that direction? Besides my annoying ads in your feed all day long?
Well, that's part of it. No, honestly, you've been teaching. It's funny because if you see the advertising that's going on now for like video courses and different, like, everyone's pushing what you. Your program is and has been for years now. So I think what you. What's inside of your program is ahead of the curve and people are just starting to catch up and sales, sales, sales, sales, sales, sales, sales.
Which is clearly working for you because you're at a fricking 60. I'm jealous of your close rate, man. Like 60 something percent.
I can give Dan a lot of credit. Yep.
Dan the man.
Dan the man. He does a great job at tearing apart everyone's sales calls and recordings. He doesn't actually tear them apart.
He's actually.
He has a productive way. Yeah, he's very productive and he gives great insight. So that's the biggest thing. Learning how to package an offer and then sell it and actually go through a sales process. I didn't even know what that was prior to the program.
Yeah, because most people jumping in are like freelancers. They're people who are just. They're just freelancing. They're gig workers. So, like, maybe talk about that mindset shift of like going from freelancer to now actually running a business, having an offer, doing marketing, doing sales. Like, what does that look like you're.
Worth as a videographer freelancer if you're outside the program, on the fence about joining. I'll just tell you this now. Your work is worth a lot more than you think. And you need to make the mindset and identity shift and realize that what you do changes people's lives. It's not just one off videos. Just because you can make cool edits and stuff like that. No These videos especially now more than ever, what we're doing as videographers is we're enhancing people's brands, images, we are getting leads and sales into other people's businesses and, and that's changing people's lives in general. So it's the mind shift there, the identity shift there is knowing that your services are much more than just a cool video.
Yeah, yeah. And I think a lot of that comes down to, like you said, offer packaging. Like how do I actually, how do I talk about the problem I'm solving with my content? Because I think a lot of people don't even know they're like, I don't really know what problem I'm solving. So it's like, how do we talk? Yeah, how do we talk about that? And then like actually solve the problem and then when you can sell based on that, it becomes a lot easier. People want to buy and kind of a weird question, but I guess, like, where do you feel like you might have been if you hadn't taken the leap? Because obviously it's scary to bet on yourself, join a program, but like, where do you feel like you might have been if you hadn't done that?
Still be on a salary position, making a very normal wage and not be in a position where I am now to be saving for a house, to be thinking about a much bigger and better future. You know, there's, I'd be, you know, stuck in the daily grind doing something that I was moderately happy about, you know, and not really making any life changing money. Like, you know, what I've realized now is I'm in a position where I can change the future of myself and my kids. And my kids, kids. You know what I mean? I can build an empire, something bigger than just my own salary that's going to get me through the year.
Yeah, I love that. And when you start bringing on, I know you have a couple team members now, but when you start bringing on more people, man, that's like you got this big family of people you're taking care of. It's a different feeling. It's awesome.
I'm just getting a taste of that.
It's really fun. I love that. And last question, I guess if anyone's maybe on the fence about booking a call, joining the program, like what, what advice would you give them?
What advice would I give them? I would say if you're on the fence about joining the program or booking a call, it's just a conversation, see what they're all about and you won't be disappointed. It's worth every penny.
Well, dude, I'm excited to get you to 100k. That's our goal this year. 100k a month. And let's close some more deals. Appreciate your time, man.
Yeah, man, no problem.
