How to get client agreements signed and paid without friction. Keep contract templates ready in an e-signature tool, collect payment upfront for smaller clients, and expect legal review delays with Fortune 500 companies. The faster you move, the faster they sign.
You got it.
In terms of the contract, which I know we're not calling.
Sure.
Since we're getting them to pay in advance, something, do we just send that contract to them? Do we ever really talk about it with them?
Good question.
What is sort of the, you know, process in terms of, you know, getting that?
Typically you're going to want to have these already made in your. In your sign now or in your docusign or whatever you use to do the signing. Right. So you want to have like a 3, 6 and 12 month already, like built out. So then it already has like their name, you know, signatures, company name, like those fillable things already in the template. So then what you're doing on the call, and it depends on the type of person. If you're working with like a Fortune 500, it might have to go through legal first. Right. That's just the reality of the situation. And sometimes you won't get the payment first. Sometimes they're like, send me the agreement. You have to send the agreement, it has to go through legal, then it comes back to you, and then you get payment. But if you're working with like smaller SMBs, typically what you'll try to do is like, get the payment on the call and then send them the agreement. And then on the call, they read through it, they ask you any questions they have, and then they sign the agreement and then you just book their kickoff call at the end. Right. That's typically what we want to try to do. Depends on the type of person. If it's Fortune 500, you're going to have to do more, sending it legal reviews, they have revisions, they have questions, then they pay. But typically you try to just, hey, we'll do this payment. This is what it is. Cool. Boom, done, agreement over to you. And then from there.
