I'm going to tell you why a red camera is not as effective as a Blackmagic Pocket 4K camera when it comes to landing higher ticket clients is because it doesn't matter what camera you shoot anything on. What matters is how you're conveying to your clients that you're going to help them solve a pain point or get them a result. Clients don't care what you're shooting on, unless you're working for some big agency or you're working for a marketing agency that wants you to have your own gear. What clients care about is the end product, does it look good, and does it get them the result that they're after? So next time you're going into a meeting, don't talk about the gear that you have. And also, if you're thinking about buying a red camera, consider waiting until you have enough clients to pay for that camera.
