Video business owners should stop accepting paper checks and set up ACH and card payments through their business bank instead. Ask your bank to connect a payment processor to your account, send invoices that collect routing and account numbers for instant ACH transfers, and take cards to skip mail delays.
Stop taking checks as payment for your video business. Instead, go to your bank, open a merchant account. So just simply go to your bank, say, hey, can I open a merchant account? They're going to open a merchant account at the bank that you have a business bank account with and then they're going to set up a payment processor for you to process E checks, ACH and card payments. And what you're going to do is if a client wants to pay you with a check, you say, hey, no worries, we actually do ach. So if you have the account and routing, I'll send you this invoice over, fill it out and it'll be instant. That way you're not waiting on checks to come in the mail and you're not waiting on people to pay you. You get the same benefit as a check, but it's online. And then if a client wants to pay with a card, you can simply take the card payment by doing it through your merchant account through your business bank.
