A short YouTube monologue (uploaded January 5, 2024) in which the speaker argues that people often claim they want certain life outcomes but avoid the necessary uncomfortable work. The core message: either do the required work to reach ambitious goals or consciously lower/resize your goals — the choice is yours.

It's really interesting because a lot of people say they want certain things and they want to be certain places in their life, but then when they're confronted with the work or the thing that they have to do or the help that they need to get to be able to get to that point, all of a sudden they change their mind. And it's really interesting. I think it's just a human condition is we're conditioned to stay comfortable. And this is kind of a rant. But if you say you want certain things, you have to be okay with doing the work necessary to get there. And it's not about doing your best. It's about doing what's right required. And if you're not willing to do what's required, then lower your goal or downsize your goal and it's okay. Not everybody is meant to be at the places they want to be. So either do the work required or downsize your goals. Your choice.
