Eric Deeran argues creatives sabotage themselves by making business decisions based on daily feelings instead of tracked metrics. Without numbers, you can't tell if what you're doing actually works. Track the data, not your mood.
A lot of creatives struggle in business because they go based on how they feel, not based on the numbers that they are tracking. So, A, they go based on the feeling and how they feel every single day, and they change things within the business based on how they're feeling, not based on numbers. And B, they don't actually track anything, so it's hard to know whether or not they're doing the right things or the wrong things. So if you're creative, make sure you're tracking your numbers and you're not going based on how you feel every single day.
