A short spoken segment from a YouTube video arguing that mastery in sales (and running a business) comes from repetitive practice and following a process, not from reading books or memorizing scripts. The speaker compares learning sales to learning basketball, emphasizes needing a coach to show correct actions, and stresses doing the work until it becomes second nature.

So here's why. You can't get good at sales by simply reading a bunch of sales books or following a script. I've had a couple people recently ask me, what is the perfect script? How do I, you know, what is the secret? What is the tactic to getting. To closing more deals in my business, to getting better at sales? And here's the thing. There is no secret. You have to get really good at it. And you have to follow a set process and literally just do it over and over and over and over again until you're really good at it. It's like somebody asking, how do I get really good at basketball? What's the best basketball book that I can read to get really good at basketball? People would laugh at them, right? It would make no sense. So sales is the exact same thing. Running your own business is the exact same thing. You need a coach to show you the right things to do, but ultimately you need to just do them, and you need to get really good at doing them and do it so many times that it just becomes second nature for you.
