Short motivational video arguing that working smarter is better than merely working harder. The speaker uses the analogy of digging holes with a shovel versus a backhoe to show that choosing efficient methods prevents burnout and achieves goals (example: digging 50 holes in a month).

A lot of society and the Instagram hustle culture teaches us that we just need to work really hard and we're going to get to where we want to go. How many times have you heard that from your parents? If you just work really hard, you're going to get to where you want to go? Well, I'm here to kind of challenge that. It's not really about working super hard. There's two ways to dig a hole. You could use a shovel, or you could use a backhoe. Which one? I mean, they both dig a hole, but which one do you think gets it done faster and more efficiently? So it's really about working hard on the right things. And if you're not working hard on the right things, it often just leads to burnout. Because, I mean, let's say you have to dig 50 holes in a month. You could do it by hand, or you could do it with a backhoe. One of those options is going to burn you out, and one of them is going to get you 50 holes dug in a month. Hope that helps. See you in the next video.
