A creator tours his playroom filled with abandoned projects: a trumpet, guitars, a Peloton, a rowing machine, a blank journal. Each one represents a New Year's resolution he didn't keep. He's asking what you've failed at this month too.

So it's the end of January 2026, and what I'm showing you is my playroom slash my music room. You can see that here, the trumpet that desperately needs to be cleaned and hasn't been played in quite some time. Haven't put away this air mattress from the holidays. There's my son's rowing machine, or as he calls it, the erg. There's my guitar that I have not practiced, even though I have a whole list of exercises I can do right here, right on my desk. And then there's the Peloton, right? I bought this for $400 off of Facebook Marketplace. I was hoping to get, you know, 3 to 4 days a week on it. I might be getting 2. At this point. And then of course there's these. These are my daughter's, and she's very emotionally attached to them. And so I have to figure out a way to put them away, maybe in small plastic bins, you know, like rectangular, not very tall rectangular bins. And I gotta put these away, and I have not done that. So, and then there's the Believe poster that fell down, as Believe posters do, and I still haven't gotten around to that. And then there's the journal. I've bought this really nice journal, has my name on it, has my name in it, and blank pages. Blank pages. Haven't gotten to that. Haven't gotten to organizing this whole mess, right? The amp with all the cords, the other guitar. So I'm curious, what have you failed at this month? What were promises that you made to yourself, especially with it being New Year's? I know a lot of us do that, that we have New Year's resolutions, and really, like, you know, second, third week of January We just don't do any of it. So, curious. Let me know in the comments. Thanks.
