Michael Rutherford, Cade York, and Speaker C discuss biblical faith and contentment, arguing that true contentment eliminates suffering and that God exists outside time, reframing when prayers are answered. They cite Abraham's faith as a model and emphasize reading Scripture during doubt.
Chapters
Really clarifies one thing. God only wants one thing from you, and it's only one thing you can really give Him. And it's your heart. Some people wonder why we come to church. It's because church is a time where we let God sculpt our heart. Church is a time where we let God put His word in our heart. And church is a place where we can express our gratitude corporately for who he is and what he's done. But what God wants us to understand, he is representing us very well. Our representation isn't in Washington. It's not the State House. It's at his right hand. His son that has died and rose again. Our high priest that has nail scars in his hands ever lives to make representation before you through oh Lord Jesus, help us. That's what God's trying to say. We're spending our energy, our time and we're fighting battles that already been won. Come on. Thanks be unto God that always causes us to try. Listen, in Christ Jesus, when he is the center, it's not just the song we sing. It is a life that Jesus said, I've come that you might have life and life more abundantly. How many want a full life, an anointed life, a life with zest and power Then stand in awe in who he is? We're weighed in the balance and we're unwanting. We still want even though we have everything. See, the person who Jesus died for Christ is the Savior of the whole world because of our sins. Listen, the Creator became our Savior. That's what blows me away. It's not a cross. It is the cross and the person that was on that cross that amazes me because a lot of people died on the cross. But only one died, rose again, and only one was the creator of heaven and earth that hung and bled on that cross. For me to stand in all of God, it will idle proof your heart. I need to understand that he's the potter and I'm the clay and he ain't finished yet, but he has begun. A good work in me is going to complete it. In fact, Paul said in Romans 8, you've been predestined to be conformed into the image of Christ. If there's an area of your life that's not reflecting the risen king, the divine sculptor is working on that area in your life.
Look up.
Your redemption is drawing nigh. God will never leave nor forsake you until he has completed what he started in your life. We need to stand in all of he is My everything and the very breath in my lungs deserve to give him glory and honor. And where my assignment is, I'll stay and I'll cling there and give him the glory and praise. If I fall, feel like it or not, naked you came in this world, and naked you're going to return. But when you and I stand before the judgment seat of Christ, there's going to be fire in his eyes and there's going to be some wood, there's going to be some hay, and there's going to be stubble. But the only thing is going to survive and last is that which was for his glory. It's all about Him. He's more than what we need. And he's already provided in this good news called the Gospel. His death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and soon return. I want to stand in your awe. I want to live for your glory. Work on this heart. Here it is, Lord. Here is my heart. Cleanse it, speak to it. Break it. Make it whole. Make it humble. Make it unique. Make it exclusively yours. Set it apart. And, Lord, reveal. Open my understanding to the beauty of who you are. Your mercy, your kindness, your power, your love for me. Oh, Lord, here it is. You know, scripture really clarifies one thing. God only wants one thing from you, and it's only one thing you can really give him. And it's your heart. Some people wonder why we come to church. It's because church is a time to vote. We let God check.
Man, what's going on? Welcome back to MOG Live. As you guys can tell, we got some family in the house today. We got a. A house filled with friends, family. I'm excited for tonight. Tonight's going to really build people's faith, man. Tonight is for anybody and everybody who just feels like, man, maybe you're lacking faith. Maybe it feels like you can't. You can't figure out a way to see, like, more for your future. You can't figure out a way to just believe for more. And you just almost feel like you just keep staying capped. I brought on my friend Michael Rutherford because we were in San Diego and he started asking me some questions about vision. And, oh, my word, was it frustrating to me personally.
What's up?
Nick Melrose on YouTube.
Legendary trio.
And Darby. Good seeing you here. Marco, good seeing you here. And, man, it was really frustrating because he was asking me some really incredible questions that I just never spent time thinking. And he's got.
If.
If there's a gift that I believe that Michael Rutherford has, which he has a ton I would have to say it's the gift of faith. It's just the gift of faith. Like if you are struggling and feeling down at any given moment, if you just get on the phone with this man, by the end of five minutes, you're. You're going to be injected with faith and you're just going to believe like, you can take on the impossible. And that's a gift. That's a spiritual gift. So I'm super stoked for tonight, bro. Thank you for being here.
We were. City's got a soundboard. We needed one of those buttons where it can make sounds. So.
Amen. Amen. And we also got my dog Cade York in the house.
Praise the Lord.
We're just kicking it over here.
Yes.
No pun intended.
No, no pun intended at all. Oh, okay. So, bro, I would love just to kick it straight off. I'm hearing sound. Oh, that's why it's. My YouTube is playing, bro. I want to kick it off. Just jumping straight into it. First of all, you do these vision excavations. What led to that? But before that, I guess just tell anyone who's listening to right to this right now, which everybody that's listening right now probably knows who you are. But I want to get it for also people who don't know who you are. So in like 60 seconds, how did you get to where you're at today, bro? And where did all this, like, vision excavation come from?
Good question. I'll answer that part first. I'm glad to be here. This is fun. We have a studio on. It's quite on the set. This is going to be fun. This is going to be the least, I don't know, structured or least rigid, stringent.
I hate that, bro. I hate.
This is going to be a blast. I feel sorry for. Katie's just got a sandwich of two lunatics. Oh, this is going to be great for you. This is going to be an opportunity for growth. You're going to build your endurance to today.
Thanks.
Gonna have a lot of Romans in you this afternoon. The Another short story is, you know, I don't know many for many, many years in my business environment. It just made a lot of sense to me. Like, if you ask people for specificity, they usually don't have any.
Yeah.
And you know, you can live anywhere in the world where you want to live, and then they give you some BS generic answer. Like in a house where. What color, how many stories, how many acres?
It's true, because those were the answers I was giving you.
No, he gave them To. I mean, I wish you could have seen Frank's answers. He's like, florida. Well, Jacksonville. He's like, no. And I go, why is you. Where Florida is large? You know, South Beach? No. He's like, dustin, okay, cool. On the beach or inland? Boat or. No boat. Two or three story house. Green, blue. What colors the. Like, if you're watching. Where would you live if you could live anywhere in the world?
Yeah, put that in the chat.
Slowly. All the questions he's asked me last night, all I told him is I wanted a big garage.
Big garage.
That's why last night he would. He just kept looking at me and winking and then he'd turn back and ask another question.
But so I did these things in the. In my business all the time. I called like a pinata. I'll give you a little secret. What I used to do is secretly ask him lots of questions for like an hour and a half and then write them all down over zoom and then go find representations of what they said. Little tokens, like, what do you call those things? Mementos or whatever. If they said they wanted to go to Disneyland, I would buy them little 2 inch Mickey mouses and shove them in a pinata. If they said they wanted to go to Iceland and see the Blue Lagoon, I would pay somebody. My friend Jenna. And she was married at the time, it was her husband that did it. But they used to do. They used to do Photoshop. I want to do this. Like little John. They used to do Photoshop and they would make a graphic as if they were at the Blue Lagoon so they could visualize themselves there. And we get all these graphics together, shove it in the pinata, ship it to them in the mail, and then I would tell them about their vision and their future in like a two page letter that they would read out loud and then bust the pinata open and their future would fall into the ground. Well, they'd never seen it before.
Yeah.
Half the time they just spitball it. Yeah. And then. So anyways, fast forward five years to this last year. You and I are in San Diego.
San Diego.
I pick them up at the airport and we're driving around San Diego and God literally says, do it on Frank. What are you whispering over there? This is my intro.
No, I want to do the Ron Burgundy. Santiago.
Oh, yes, Vagina.
Oh, perfect.
We can beat that out later. It's a family friendly show. If you're watching. This is going to be fun. So I. I literally hear God do it on Frank. And I Haven't. I mean, I've done this hundreds of times with people. Because it's just a deep conversation of, peel the onion. Peel the onion. Peel the. Why do you like what you like? What do you like? And why do you like what?
You know, what it felt like? It felt like you actually cared.
Look, if I'm being raw, most people don't, because they never even ask a second question. Yeah. You know, oh, cool. What do you do for a living? And then they tell you, cool. Why do you do that? How long have you done it? Do you love it? And if you could do anything in the world, would you continue to do that?
Yeah.
What are they gonna say? No one's ever asked them that.
Yeah.
Like, why do you have this house? Why do you have this flooring?
Yeah.
You know, why is it in this area? Those are good questions no one's ever asked. You know, like, if you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go? Question 1 Comment in the chat. Yeah. By the way, this will be interactive. If it isn't, I'll get off the zoom and go home.
Absolutely.
Where would you go if you could go anywhere in the world? For, like, vacation, for a trip, for an experience, for whatever it is. If you could go anywhere in the world. And then the next question is, why? Well, I, I. I don't know. I did a call with the guy the other day. He's like, you know, I don't know, maybe Europe. And I'm like, oh, cool. Just Romania. If they give me generic, I make up, like, I'm not a great place to go to. Nothing against Romania, in case we have any viewers from there. But he's like. He's like, no. He's like, no, maybe Germany. And I go, cool. Why Germany? Because I don't really want to go to Germany. I'd rather go to Norway and see the northern lights. And he was like, my family's from Germany, actually.
I'm like, craig Honorheim wants to go on vacation in Frank's living room.
Done. By the way, you should be here. So I'm like, why Germany? He goes, my family's from Germany. I'm like, no way. Because I don't stay in a lot of touch with my local family, but my descendants are from Germany. What do you think the conversation did at that point? It got good.
Yes.
And I'm like, what part of Germany, dude? Have you ever been there? No. What do you know about your relatives? Nothing, but I'd love to find out more. Then it went into this really Cool thing of if you. Eli, what would you do if you were there? Where would you go? What city? I don't know. He had no specificity other than, like, the reason of why he wanted to go to Germany. Had roots to it. Does that make sense? It wasn't a surface thing. I want to go to Bora Bora because I saw it on Instagram and it looks beautiful. No. Like, where have you always wanted to go for 40 years that you've never been?
Yeah.
So anyways, you and I have that conversation, and it uncovers a bunch of really neat ideas and neat stuff of, you know, trips you want to take, where you want to live with your family.
It also uncovered a lot of frustration, if I'm being transparent, and a lot of, like, limits.
Yeah.
That I had. That I didn't realize.
Yeah. And look, you wouldn't. Yeah. Because if people don't. Most of the times we don't. We don't even ask ourselves the questions of what do we really want? I mean, I've just done this a lot, and the biggest thing I've uncovered. Not to get the carpal for the horses. Most people don't have a faith in an expectation that it'll ever happen.
Yeah.
You know, when you got pregnant with a goose, did you wait eight months to go to the baby store to buy a crib? No. You probably got it in a few weeks.
Yeah. Except I'm not a woman, so I can't get pregnant.
You know what I mean? I was using the we. The.
No, it's true.
You took action. Like, you had an expectation. Yeah. You know, that as soon as you book a trip, you're like, all right, we gotta. I gotta get new outfits. I got. You know, your lady might get a new bathing suit or whatever. You're gonna get prepared to go on your trip.
Would you say. Because the Bible says that faith without works is dead, and you have a lot of people write that they have faith is what we say.
Yeah.
I do believe God's going to do this. I believe God's gonna die. I believe God's gonna this. But the Bible says faith without works is dead. Would you say expectation is the works?
I think part of it is. I think part of it is. And also using your mouth, is it. Oddly, most people don't. Go ahead.
I had a really good quote from. Actually, it's not mine. It's Dr. Fred Price. He said, faith is a confession followed by an action in line with that confession.
That's really good. It's really good.
Write that down. Joey Sorrels. I think for a lot of people, they've never actually said the thing that they want. You know, somebody said, Florence, Italy. Do you know what? Like where would you stay in Florence, Italy? And why do you want to go to Florence, Italy?
Florence.
What airline would you fly? What airports out of America fly non stop.
You know, it's always looks sick to go on those Emirates flights that you like. Let me get a room.
Okay. One of my favorite sentences starts with, you know what would be sick?
Yeah.
And you just did it.
Yeah.
I could kiss your mustache right now.
It's only like the fourth thing I said in the last day.
So write that down. I want you to start using this in a sentence more often and just start a conversation with someone with, bro, you know what would be sick?
Yeah.
And if it's your grandmother, even better. Bro, you know what would be sick? Because what follows is creativity.
Yeah.
What follows is like no ceiling. No ceiling. You don't have a small God.
Yeah, he's huge.
And I know we're talking about like a trip. That's an example of. We really should be talking about the love you have for your spouse or your kids. But like a trip is more visual and it's more experiential and you can use it as an example. But like for, for most people, they've never actually verbalized where they want to go or what they want to do because they don't want to jinx it, they don't want to brag, they don't want to. It really just comes down to faith. Do they have any?
Yeah.
Do they have any? You know, they get these scriptures twisted up. I've heard them forever. I mean, I've been doing interviews with people. They're sitting there with their spouse.
Yeah.
And they go, I don't want to get my kid, I don't want to get my kids hopes up. And it just crushed me. I'm like, what do you mean get your kids hopes up? Isn't that what faith is, bro?
It's interesting because how could you believe for God to heal, but you can't believe for a trip?
I mean, look, the zoom is over. Whatever this is, it's over. Have a nice evening. There's nothing else to say. That's it.
Yes.
Because people know. People don't believe that prosperity is part of the blood.
Say it into the mic.
I was just telling it to you. But people don't believe that prosperity is part of the blood covenant, but healing is.
I mean, unless you already know it doesn't spell the numbers out, but do you know what Job's net worth was?
Ridonkulous.
$100 million.
Before or after?
It was 200 million? After in chapter 40. In chapter one, it was $100 million. Then it was none because everything was gone. And then in chapter 42, in the last few paragraphs, it's $200 million. God could have given him his hundred back. He didn't need $100 million worth of camels and ox. Yeah. And he could have just given him the hundred back. He could have given him half back. Scripture doesn't say he gives him 0.5 back. Yeah. In his case, he gave him 200%, had 100, went to zero, went to 200.
Amen.
And then he let him forgive awful friends of his that talk smack about God. Amen. Because he prayed for him. Yeah. You know, and he got in heaven.
Yeah.
Like, you can get in heaven with a hundred million dollar net worth. Which means if you want a 66 Nova, you can still get in heaven.
That's so true, bro. There's no like. There's no like, hey, in order to be get into heaven, you've got to be like the poorest person in the world. And you also have to get into heaven with zero enjoyment of the life that God created for you to literally enjoy. Because everything is gift. Every day we wake up is gift. Your house is gift. Your family is gift. Your friends are gifts. A job is gift. Everything is a gift. And gifts were made to be enjoyed. Like, if somebody gives you a gift where it's like, oh, I remember I gave my mom. I gave my mom a laptop as a gift because I had been telling her to get to work, and there wasn't a lot of joy when she opened it. And then I got my dad some, like, workout stuff as a gift. And there wasn't a lot of joy because they knew what that meant. It meant that I'm giving you this so you can go do something, work with it, as opposed to I'm giving you something to enjoy. Like, gives her to be enjoyed.
That's funny.
So I feel like I'm in this to learn and to just take notes and to kind of bring up questions. Questions, but also themes. I feel like kind of you talked about being creative. I can't remember who said it, but what popped up in my head was childlike faith. Which is, if I could describe, like y' all could describe Rutherford in all the ways you want. For me, childlike faith is the best way to Describe him. Yeah, because he went from. I was there the day he got. Or I don't think I was at Men's Pro when you got saved, but I was there that day when you went to the. To work out, and I was there. That launchpad where just, like, you went from like, on your way to hell to on the way you're having. And about just, like, a trip to Dallas. Like, that was it. And he went from that, which was last summer, to, like, now you are on a podcast having stuff to share with people, like, what, nine months later.
Yeah.
Which is pretty cool. And I believe the reason that he has gone from there to here so quickly is childlike faith. And when I imagine childlike faith, like, let's just imagine a child. Like, how creative is the goose, dude?
So creative. I mean, the goose just never stops imagining. That's why she's always making videos with a bunch of fart noises on. And just, like, always. Always thinking in a completely different world than, like, the natural world.
Yeah. So I almost think of, like, connecting childlike faith with creativity. But then also let's. Let's connect that with God. Let's pretend like we're in the dark and the void. How creative is, like, imagining the earth?
Yeah.
Like, we got, like, bodies of water, land. We got, like, crazy animals. Like, what the heck is an aardvark? Like, day, night, rain falls from the sky, but also it's under the ground. Perfect equations all enter, like, equal. The same things. Like, that's. That's pretty freaking creative, you know? What are you doing?
That's Michael Rutherford right there. I. I made that on chat GPT and sent it to him.
I was like, what are you laughing at?
Like, three or four months ago. Childlike faith. That's him right there. I hope you guys can see it on the chat. You can't see it over here on Facebook.
There we go. There it is. Yeah, there it is.
Yeah.
Just covering him, pushing me, the Lord.
Sorry. Keep going, Kaden. So, yeah, I think that's, like, a cool part about, like, what you said about. It started with the, you know, what would be sick thing.
Yeah.
So I think that is a cool idea. Like, that kind of all clicked in a moment when you said that of, like, that is, like, faith and vision the same thing of, like, that creative part of our minds that we block off. Yeah. Like, I'm very guilty. I block off because it's like, okay, let's also be realistic for a second. Like, yeah, God's both order and faith, but God's not asking us to.
Right. I mean, we're putting him in a box. Like, we're literally putting him.
Yeah.
Like, the things that we do box him in and tell him we don't actually believe he's going to do it.
Yeah, yeah. People will quote Ephesians 3:20 and then not live like it at all, which I'm guilty of.
Yeah. I mean, and it's. Look, it's fine, but it isn't. That's just what everybody does. That's why it's fine. But it isn't.
It's.
It's limiting. You're literally putting ceilings and blocks and it's like, I. I don't know. I've just been around, quote, unquote, Christians who have no faith, they're scared of everything. They have no vision, they have no faith, they have no belief. They're filled with, like, unworthiness. They don't feel like they're due for God's best. They don't feel like they're in. In the inheritance of anything.
Yeah.
You know, and they have this like, poor me, I'm gonna eat porridge, drink water and live in a tent kind of mentality. And it's like, well, where's the spillover for you to give to others? Yeah, where's the spillover for you to give to others? What do you tithe a month? Well, none. Because you have none.
Yeah. You can't be a.
You know. How much did you spend on Saturday making sandwiches for the homeless? Well, zero. Because you have nothing. And look, you can argue with me and debate me on it completely. Fine. You may have 35 years in the Bible. Congratulations. That's awesome.
Here's what's interesting. I humbly believe that I have a lot of faith, but what I've noticed is when I had my conversation with you is that I have a lot of faith in certain things. And so when it comes down to, like, God healing somebody, Jordan's texting me my.
Keep going.
When it comes down for, like, you know, releasing a prophetic word on somebody. Right. God healing somebody, there being restoration, someone's like, like miracles. It's like I feel like my faith is really high, but when it came to my own personal desires, I felt like my faith was very low.
Yeah.
And the only reason why I could gauge that, the only reason why I was able to gauge that is because I feel like faith and vision are connected. If you lack vision, really, it's because you lack faith.
Right.
Because if you. If I had high faith in those areas, then I would have a dream.
Right.
I would have this high expectation. I would have create a creative dream of like this is what life could look like. Or more importantly, this is what life will look like.
They're frozen.
Yeah. No, you're spot on. It's, it's, it comes down to, I mean there's probably other things, but unworthiness is the one that's really uncovered. That's really good.
Yeah, yeah, touch on that.
It just, I mean I've literally done calls expectation. Like the, the idea of double mindedness is you're praying for a thing and believing for a thing but also expecting that it's not going to work out. You know, finish the sentence. I don't want to get my hopes up. You've heard a million people say that. People. I don't, I don't want to jinx it.
I don't want to believe God's going to.
But.
Yeah, but if he doesn't. But if he doesn't. Look, if your 9 year old is laying in a hospital bed, you're not praying for God's will.
Yeah.
You're in there praying for the guy to get healed.
Yes.
And for the blood. The flow is hard to kick on.
Yeah.
And the machines to go. Time to take him home. He's good.
You're not praying for his will, you're
declaring his, you're declaring his will as if it's already done.
Amen.
You know, that's just what it says, says in the Bible. It's not like hey, please do this.
And so then why explain how unworthiness ties to us not declaring God's will over desires of our hearts?
I mean, I think one of the biggest things is people, somehow they think God messed up on them. And I've been fortunate in it. I mean we worked hard, made money and booked the flights. So any one of you people on here should have gone to Costa Rica. You didn't because you didn't believe that you could and should. Yeah, I like Costa Rica. I like poison dart frogs, I like sloths, I like six foot iguanas, I like crocodiles and alligators. I like zip lines. Those are fun things for four year old kids. It's not fun when your kids are 12. You should take them when they're 3. So don't make excuses. You should go now. But like God made all those animals for you and I. Hierarchy, hierarchy wise, they're under you, they're not above you, they're under you. And they were made for you. We should go see them. We should experience them. But God made you more meticulously than he made every single waterfall in the world, every single animal in the world, every single bird in the sky. Go snorkeling in Hawaii or in the Cayman Islands and look at the most beautiful, exotic tropical fish you've ever seen. You, Janet, were made more meticulously, more beautifully and more creatively made than those. Than those fish. Go to Costa Rica. Janice, my friend, lives in Indiana. She's amazing. She goes, I don't have to be on camera, do I? Just played pickleball. Love you, girl. You know, you're just a viewer tonight, but, like, imagine every single exotic bird. A parrot, a macaw, a. A token. If you've never seen a live toucan in a Costa Rican jungle canopy. Prettiest thing you've ever seen. You, my friend, were made more perfectly than that bird. With your mustache and everything else made more perfectly than that bird. And he cares more about you. But somehow we're walking around insecure, manipulating our bodies, doing all this other silly stuff, telling God that somehow he messed up and somehow we don't deserve. We weren't made in his image.
Yeah.
Think about that. Think about, like, he literally took the same ingredients, like he's baking a cake that he made Jesus with, put it inside of you. And somehow we think that, A, he either didn't do it, or B, that he messed it up somehow when he did do it.
Yeah.
And we just don't believe that. That. That we were made in his image and that we are in his lineage and we are in his will. So I can't tell you I know why people do it, because it doesn't make sense to me.
Because if we did believe it, because it did believe, expectations would be there.
The expectations would be there. And, you know, and I've just found that when people don't have vision, it's because they don't think it's gonna happen.
Yeah.
You know what I was saying about having a baby? Like, if you've. If you've ever had children, how. Like, how quickly did you wait to start talking baby names as soon as you found out either you were pregnant or your wife was pregnant?
Yeah.
How quickly did you start thinking baby names? How quickly people have baby names? They're not pregnant.
That's very true. Think of the experts expecting to have the.
Expect. They're not even pregnant. Yeah. But for some reason, when you conceive something so a thought, you get conceived with a thought. You get conceived with a business thought. You're Conceived right now with a thought of getting a new house. You are pregnant with that thought. That. That's going to happen. That's why.
That's why it's there.
Wait, wait. Will you take your wife to the, like, the nicest kitchen appliance store and start visualizing? Bro, these cabinets would look sick in that house. This would be cool. This would be cool. Next thing you know, your raz, your awareness starts opening up and unlocking all kinds of other things. The problem is we're thinking about why it won't work, what we can't afford, what we don't have, and frankly, what our God can't do.
We're focusing on the how, which is
none of your business.
None of our business. It's just our business to believe.
None of your business. Do you know how I ended up on this podcast? I got kicked out of my business, lost all my money, and my best friend left me. My entire life fell to death. Disastrous pieces. God's like, watch this. This is where the script goes.
Whoop.
That's where it gets good. And if you're in the middle of that.
Yes.
Do you think God's surprised and confused by that? No. He's got something radically and wonderful planned for you that's in route. It's like the Amazon guy four or five blocks away on his way. You just got to be patient.
That's. That's why the Bible says to rejoice in your suffering. And I feel like that scripture often is used a lot to, like, you just shout it out while you're suffering.
Right.
But I don't think God ever wants us to fake any thing. So if the Bible is telling us to rejoice in our suffering, then it must mean that it is possible to actually experience joy in your suffering. And, bro, that's what you've done. And it all happens through focus.
Right.
Through perspective, through what am I choosing? Which is why the Bible says so clearly to fix your eyes on the author and perfecter of our faith. Right. Because when you fix your eyes on how good he is, it really doesn't matter what you're going through. Your circumstances don't change. But your experience of the circumstances or during the circumstances does change. I want you to speak into that.
Yeah. And I think, look, we pick and choose what part of the Bible we believe. It's either all true or none of it's true. Yeah. Either pick it up and read and believe it, or just get rid of it and go do what you've been doing.
Yeah.
This half and half out stuff makes no sense.
Yeah.
You go to church every week for 25 years, do none of what's in the Bible except try not to kill people. You know, but we judge all day long. Look, look, I don't know everything. So you can type it in the chat and rip me apart if you want to. I don't think I'll misspeak. But, you know, outside of the sexual sin stuff, the rest of the sin is sin is sin is sin. There's not like a category two, a category four, that's not in here, is there? No, there's not like a list of categories. Like, that's a level five violation. Rutherford. That has four demerits attached to it. Is that how it works? No, it isn't. So, like, if you're judging me right now, the frankness and the candidness and the casualness that I'm talking about this, your judgment is no different than any other sin that I might go do right now or anybody else. They're all the same. You know what else is? Shame and guilt and fear.
Yes.
Fear and scarcity.
Yes.
Questioning whether God can do a thing or not.
Yeah.
Period.
Yeah.
Period. And you know, and I think if I don't answer the question directly, can ask it again and I'll give it another. Give it another rip. But like, when people don't have an expectation, it's easier to just cop out. Like, it really comes down to they don't want to get disappointed.
Yeah.
They don't believe it'll work. So then they have like a half of a faith, which isn't faith. You know, if you're double minded, it's double minded, which is in this.
It's in the scripture literally says, don't expect anything, expect nothing.
So what ends up happening is they got a foot on the gas, a foot on the brake, you know, when they got one hand on the steering wheel. God's got a hand on the steering wheel. God just disengage.
Yeah.
That's what he'll do. And we wonder why it's not working. It's not working. It's not working. And it's like, dude, you're still in the driver's seat.
Yeah.
So, you know, hand it over to him also.
I feel like some people. I feel like some of us. I'm just gonna put myself in the crowd, bro. I feel like some of us struggle with it too. Because you're. You're taught that, like, desires are bad. Right? Like, it's huge.
That's huge.
But when we were speaking about and you were talking about how we're made in the likeness, in the image of God, I had this thought of how if we're made in the likeness and image of God, then that means that we are like Him. Like His DNA courses through our DNA, right? Why did God create such a beautiful earth?
So you would never see it.
So he wanted to bless, to love and to enjoy, relate. The only reason we were created was for relationship. Like, I'm, I'm sorry for whoever. Like this is going to like ruin your current like belief system. But you weren't created to go out and change the world. That wasn't the original plan. That happened because Eve bit the apple and sin came into the world. But the original plan was enjoyment of what God created on this earth and relationship, period. That was the OG plan starting from the very beginning. And so when Jesus died on the cross, guess what? That plan got reinstituted. Yes. Now there's the Great Commission. But while you're doing the Great Commission, because you're made in the likeness and image of God, you're called to enjoy creation. Dude, God enjoys relation. We are his creation. He enjoys relationship with us. That's why it literally says like some people are going to get to heaven and say, but I did miracles in your name. I prophesied in your name, name. And he's going to say, yeah, but get away from me.
I never knew you, I never knew you.
Because he cares about relationship. He cares about two way street enjoying somebody. You know what I'm saying? So I feel like it's important for us to understand that when it says that we're made in the likeness and image of God, God also likes to enjoy creation.
Right?
God also likes to enjoy the things that he made. So it is okay for you to have a desire to want to enjoy this earth.
I do a call with somebody and he's like, man, all I want to do is, you know, ministry, ministry, ministry, ministry. I go, that's fantastic. That's great. Praise the Lord. You're amazing. I go, what's the scripture where it's something about old men are going to dream dreams and stuff. What do you think the dreams were about? Just about baptizing other people and just about, you know, doing ministry stuff. What were the dreams about? Yeah, do you think that's all the dreams were about? No, I don't think that they were. I go, what other kinds of dreams might he wanted to put into your brain? And he was like, well, I never really looked at it. That way. And I go, I go. What was Jesus's very first miracle? Where was his very first miracle? Did he heal the sick? I know you know and I know you know. Do you know where Jesus's very first miracle was? Do you know Jesus first miracle was booze. It was literally alcohol at a party, at a wedding. And it wasn't a broke guy's wedding either.
Yeah.
It was hundreds and hundreds of bottles of wine.
Yeah.
First thing he did, turn water in the wine at a wedding.
Yeah.
And it wasn't at the VFW hall because the people were broke.
I don't know what that is.
It wasn't at the Piggly Wiggly because the people were broke.
There it is.
The people were. I mean, you could argue it. They weren't. It wasn't the Taj Mahal, you know, it wasn't the Kardashians getting married, but it wasn't, you know, two homeless people getting married either. It was a upper middle class wedding that lasted a week and was hundreds of bottles of wine and was all of the like important people of the day. That's where he decided to start his ministry.
Yeah. Out of a place of abundance.
Out of a place of abundance.
Not out of place, a place of enjoyment.
Abundance, celebration. What's more celebratory? What's a bigger party than a wedding? Not nothing.
A Mexican.
The birth of a child. How many people?
Any Mexican party.
Yeah, yeah. Mexican six year old birthday. What's more, what's a bigger party than a wedding? How many people are at a birth of a child? 3. How many people are at a wedding? 100, 203. There's hundreds of people at that thing. Yeah. It's the biggest celebrity, the pinnacle of. Of celebration in joy.
True.
That's where he decides to come out and start his party. And he did it with booze. They didn't run out of food. He already did that deal later. He could have did the food thing first. Yeah, he did the booze thing first. For what reason?
I don't know.
Ask him.
I feel like this verse kind of sums it up. Romans 8:32. Since he did not spare even his own son, but gave him up for us all, won't he also give us everything else? Yeah, like if you think about Abraham, which is a Abraham and Isaac is a type of the father and Jesus, like his joy was Isaac, like God had like greatly blessed Abraham before he had a child. And Abraham even said like, what is this all worth if I don't have a son? So like the. His son Was the apple of his eye. Like, it was like, everything to him.
Yes.
And he put it on the altar, which is a type of Christ. So if God gave his son, which is like, if he's making that comparison, it was everything to him. If he gave him us that, why would he not give us everything else? Couple bucks in your pocket, nice house.
Yeah.
Healing over your body. Like, it's not just about, like, money and vacations. It's also like your faith. Like how Frank said, like, your faith can be compartmentalized. Sometimes you don't think you're worthy of it for yourself or.
Yeah.
Whatever it is. But yeah. So why would he not do that for us if he already gave us his son?
I mean, it's. It's not about poverty. I think we talked about this. It's about priority in it. It says, seek God first and then everything else later.
Yeah.
And plenty of the reason Job did fine is he had God first, he didn't have his wealth first.
There's plenty.
I mean, the Bible talks a ton about money. Yeah. A few places. It's very specific that people that focus on money won't get into heaven if your money's ahead of your God.
I do believe, and you can fact check me on it, but I do believe that it talks about money more than any other topic, specifically. Yeah. Like, and. And the scripture says the love of money is the root of all the evil.
Yeah.
And that's why. That's why I truly do believe that the tithe exists.
Yeah.
Because it All. The tithe will always check your heart. You want to know if you love money or if somebody loves money? Ask them about their tithe and their offering.
Right.
Like, bro, tithing is step one.
That's just giving God what was already his.
Exactly. And, bro, if you can't give 10%, how much do you love your money more than you love your God? Well, God doesn't need the.
Well, actually, it's all his. But. Yeah, my bad. I repent.
But then, like, the offering, same thing. It's like, how much money have you sewed into the kingdom? As opposed to sewing into your fleshly desires at times. Right. And what's beautiful is that God rewards you for loving him more than money. Because if you give, your gift will come back onto you. Pressed down, shaking together, pouring over, making room for more. And he will cause people to give liberally into your lap.
Right.
So it's like, it's the love of money. So what you're saying is true. It's the. It's not that money is the issue or poverty is the issue. It's the priority. Yeah, well, what's taking priority?
Jesus painted the picture. It's. There's the rich young ruler that had it all and then came to Jesus. And Jesus basically, like, he's like, oh, I followed all these rules, like, whatever, okay. Jesus said, give it all up. He followed me and he walked away, like, sad. But then there's the other side where he had the disciples. And they said truly. Like, he basically said, truly, like, you've given up houses, family, job, everything you left behind, you're going to receive a hundredfold in this lifetime and the one to come. So you can't just look at the rich young ruler and not see that the other side of it too. It's. They had Jesus and then after Jesus, which is a picture of after salvation, there's all that versus the rich young ruler had all that before having Jesus and then wouldn't give it up with Jesus.
Yeah. And look, people, at least in my experience, many of you have decades of real biblical knowledge that you could climb quote a lot of different things. But like we were saying earlier, you pick and people pick and choose which ones they want to live by and which ones they want to really believe in, which ones they don't and which ones they want to tweak. And. And you know, it's easier for a camel to get to the eye of a needle than a rich person or a wealthy person to get into the kingdom of heaven. And they just lock into that and believe. It says, if you have money, you can't get in.
They don't read the scripture in Proverbs where it says that a wise man enjoys luxury, but a fool spends everything he gets, bro.
And it talks a bunch about like,
you know, enjoys luxury. Not just enough, by the way.
There you go.
Luxury.
There you go. And it talks. It. I mean, look, it's tricky because it says so much about, you know, laziness and slumber and sleeping and if you sleep too much and if you, you know, not storing up crops and look at the ant and all of these different things, and it's all about working and producing and creating. Well, in today's world, that creates income, that creates money. I mean, it always has. Yeah, but right now we live in a, you know, wild world and economy and, you know, people, you know, Twitter that one and, you know, the. The love of money. You know, that particular scripture people quote so often as like a. Is like a. An excuse almost to live in fear because that's really what it is. It's fear and scarcity and it puts God in a box and doesn't allow them to anything supernatural to happen. You know, they can't believe that they can get a new job. So the things that they do, they see, they talk about, they believe. You know, the belief systems are revealed in their language and their language is letting you know that they don't have any belief, you know, Period. Yeah.
Why?
The abundance of the heart.
Like, like if you believe the job that you believe God told you you were going to get is going to happen, then you wouldn't be looking at $600,000 houses. You'd be looking at $1.5 million houses. That's a madeup example.
That's, that's completely hypothetical.
Wouldn't even talk after. Hey, I, I'm, I'm knee and K. But look, look, I'm talking to myself.
Same.
You understand I would already have a wedding venue. Yeah.
Joseph said fear will cause you to turn from the very blessing God has for you because that's where you trust him the least. Faith allows you to receive God's blessings and miracles without understanding.
Okay, I have two questions. I'll remember this. Actually, I'll ask the first one because I haven't written it down yet. So you just said that to me, which I know you've been poking at it, at me with it, but I'm going to be like real with like my situation going on. It's like, how do you. When is it faith and belief versus when is it okay? That's just not good stewardship of what I have. And when, and when is that like, oh, I'm going, That's almost like a young minister being like, oh, I need the big stage. Right. Or where I'm at now, it's like, okay, yeah, I could go look at three, four million dollar houses.
Yeah.
But if I signed the papers on that today, I wouldn't.
It would be unintelligent.
It'd be unintelligent.
Unintelligent.
So where, like, what would you say about that?
I have a couple thoughts. I would say there's a, there's a real fine line between faith in like, what's another word? Like delusion. Do you agree with that? Like, well, when I mean, like what someone would call delusion, like people are
saying, I believe people would call faith delusional.
That's what I mean. That's what I mean. So what, what, what a mighty man of God would say is, dude, that guy's filled with Radical faith. That guy's making declarations.
Noah.
What your brother will say is that that guy's out of his mind. That guy's literally delusional.
They thought Noah was delusional. They thought Abraham, they thought Jesus was delusional. Every single man who actually had faith,
people thought they were crazy until they weren't. Until they weren't.
Yeah.
You know, I think, you know, God will guide your steps, but you got to be moving. It doesn't say God will guide your sitting. So what's neat? And I didn't say buy a six million dollar house. It's not about six million dollar houses. In case you're the devil's telling you that. That's what somehow this is about. None of it's about. It does. I live in an rv.
He just brought up the house. I'm looking for a house right now. That's why.
So what. What's interesting is the action of looking in, by the way, I. Parts of that house are funky, but like what I said, I actually believe.
Yeah.
If you're going to spend a millie, you can spend six on that house. It's plenty fine. The backyard and side yard are plenty fine from what I could see.
Yeah.
Spend another 100 and get the things you actually want. Cold plunge, which you should, which you should have the golf simulator. Things that are actually valuable to your life.
Yeah.
Bedroom for Frank Ortega.
That's right.
I already got him.
Maybe a studio. Maybe a studio. Enough space to build a barndominium like you're talking about and some of the different stuff. And so there's a, there's a place to be an intelligent, you know, steward. But at the same. Here's another thing. It talks about reliance on God and then you got all these guys with tons of money saved. And it's like you're 17 years away from having a financial reliance on God. And I just was in a conversation with someone about that and I was like, that's interesting. So, you know, but it also says a store up or it says a, you know, wise man gives an inheritance to his children's children's children. All of that stuff too. How do you give an inheritance to four generations of people without no money? That just came to me just now,
like really going to give them like a good money.
Think about that. The Bible says. What's the actual scripture? A wise man gives an inheritance to his children's. Children's. I don't know how many generations, but it's several. Right. How much money did your daddy give you? And how many generations, first of all, does anyone that you know, did they inherited enough money to go four or five generations deep in today's world? How much scratch would it require? Because the Bible says a wise man gives an inheritance to his. How many generations? I'm asking you.
I'm thinking like 20 to 40 million. Because it would grow.
It's many, many, many millions of dollars.
Yes, bro.
Some of you don't got 30 grand and you think wanting a new car is somehow earthly and going to keep you out of heaven, but the Bible tells you that you should have. Let's just say it's $10 million.
It also says in first or second Timothy that if you cannot provide for your immediate, for your household and for your family, which means like ants, uncles, all that stuff, that you are worse than the unbeliever.
That's correct. I mean, it's everywhere. Yeah. So, you know, some of the stuff that I have an outcome to talk about today is like, you'd mentioned the creativity. Like, creative minds are faithful minds. At least to me.
Yes.
You know, to me, you know, somebody can't see if they can't, you know, if you can't see it here, you're not going to see it here.
This is why God told Abraham that he's going to. That whatsoever your eye can see is land that I've given to you.
Right.
It all starts with seeing.
Yeah. And just, you don't have to believe us. Just go open your Bible or if you're, you know, go to Chad and ask it for all the things that have to do with vision, that have to do with just vision. Leave it at that. Just, just go research in your Bible about what it says. First of all, one of the most known scriptures is without vision, people perish.
Yeah.
And one of the challenges with not having vision is it usually stems from unbelief. And then. No, creativity is part of that. And if they can muster up, hey, I'd like, you know, well, here's what people say. Well, it would be nice. You know what would be nice? I mean, I don't need it. I don't have to have it. But it would, you know, you know what would be. It would be nice to have a new kitchen. And I was like, oh, poor, poor old you. Porridge in a tent and water, poor old you. I don't know what Bible you read, but, you know, activate some creativity.
Yeah.
In some, you know what would be cool. And it has nothing to do. Like a friend of mine, she's like, I don't want to get my kids hopes up. And I go, how big's your backyard? I've seen. I can see it. Is it a good enough backyard for your family? She's. Yeah, it's fine. He does the job. Oh, okay. Cool. Yeah. It's not in there. It doesn't talk like that. It just doesn't. You know, it says victory to victory, up and up. It doesn't say, like, poor old me, small backyard. I'm not talking Bugattis and Gucci bags. We're talking about a backyard for your kids. I know what your kids want. They all play sports and they all want animals. You ain't got no space. It's okay to have an acre so your kids can have a horse.
Wow. Nick Melrose put this scripture, Luke 16, 10, 12. This is Jesus talking. So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches?
Wow.
If you've not been trustworthy in handling worldly wealth, that means here on earth.
Dang.
That's a verse.
I mean, here's. Here's something. Just a complete switch. You can write just like this phrase down.
C. Nikki Melrose, you should be here, bro.
See, come over. We'll still be here for a while. Be for three hours.
Very true.
Right down the night, right? Yeah. I'll be up till between 1 and 2am Eating Little Caesar's pizza.
Did you order some? Sorry. I got vision right now for tonight.
Write this phrase down. Seed discernment. I'll tell you what it means to me. You can tell me what it means to you. You think the way you think because of a seed that was planted in you a long, long time ago. You won't know why you believe what you believe and why you think what you think. I'll tell you a very short story. So it's questioned you've heard the story. Hopefully never. So it's the first time and you think it's a good story and you think, I made it up. I did not make it up. I stole it from some dude who was an Amway of a thousand years ago. And you know, little Mary is at like, Christmas, Christmas dinner, and her mom's cutting the sides off the honey ham, shoving it in the pan and shoving it into the oven. And she's like, why'd you cut the sides of it off? And she discards it in the trash. And she's like, why'd you cut the sides off, Mom? She's like, well, I don't know.
Your.
Your grandma's the one that showed me how to do it. And I don't know. She's out back going to say, go back, go ask her. And she's like, grandma, mom just cut the sides off the ham. She said, you're the one that told her how to do it. Why do you cut it off? She said she didn't know you told her. And she's like, I don't know my mom. Your great grandma's the one that told me how to do it. I just was watching her. She's out front. Go ask her. She's rocking on chairs, 85 years old. She's like, hey, grandma. She's like, mom's cutting the sides off the hand before she put it in the oven. She told. I asked grandma. She said you were the one that showed her how to do it. She's like, oh, dear. We were so broke when your grandpa and I got married. We had this tiny little house, this tiny little oven and this tiny little pan. We couldn't fit the big ham in there, so we had to cut the sides of that sucker off so it would fit. That's not valuable today. Yeah, that has been passed down from that belief system, has been passed down for gener. It ain't about ham, by the way. Yeah, this is not about ham. This is about everything that you believe. Everything that you believe. Yeah, it is a macro. Money's bad. People with money are bad. Belief system that has been thrust on you by people that have been misinformed and have utilized the Bible in a way that is not of God. It's not from God, bro.
My pastor said, what if you just started reading your Bible and stopped listening to every human man's commentary and just believed what it said, what would life actually look like as opposed to. Well, I know that scripture, you know, says that all things are possible for those who believe. But you know, like the, the, the, the context or the, you know, real meaning behind that is like, you know, it means re the spiritual side of things. It's like you would actually believe what
the Bible starts to say. Joseph, the Sadducees and Pharisees could quote the word of God all day, but they lack faith. That's true. I mean, look, I found most, not most people, but a lot of people that quote scripture all day and got no faith. I was surrounded by my whole life. Made no sense. Yeah, I'm like, dude, if the Bible that you read in the guy, the God that you have faith in or that you follow, makes you to be scared, timid, Shy and constantly filled with anxiety. I'm not down with it because I don't have those things.
Yeah.
Those are all from the pits of hell.
Yeah.
None of those are from God.
Yeah.
And I find most people have that around any of the things they're believing for.
Yeah.
And there's not a person on the zoom. I'd say 80, 90% of the people on the zoom have an anxiety and a scarcity and fear around finances. Yeah. And they actually have no need for it. Even if you have some. There's a fear around it. I mean, I've known somebody, they're like having anxiety around money. Get 3, 400 grand in cash, still have a bigger anxiety around money. It wasn't the money. They just had anxiety.
Yeah.
Which isn't from God. Yeah. Period. It was fear, scarcity, anxiety.
Yeah.
You know, they have a fear, they ain't got no money, then they get some money, Then they got a fear that they got some money. They don't want to lose the money. Yeah, no, no. It has nothing to do with money. Money's a tool. Money will come, money will go.
Yeah.
It's a resource.
Yeah.
You know, and guess that's what, that's
why the Bible is, like, very clear. Right. It says to take every thought captive and make it submissive to Christ.
Is that Jet?
What's up, big dog? Mr. Jet. Love you, buddy. Hey, look who it is. It's Mr. Frank and Cade. I love you, son.
Hey, guess what?
We are on a. We're doing a live podcast, but as soon as we're done, I'm gonna call you right back. Okay, son? Cool. All right. You want to. You want to say hi?
Everybody say hi to Jet,
son. Say hi. Hello. Say konnichiwa. All right. I love you. I'll call you right back, buddy. Okay. All right, Sky, I'll call you right back.
If we took every thought and made it submissive to Christ, that means that every fearful thought would be taken captive and turned into a faith filled thought. That means that every doubt would be taken captive and turned into a faith filled thought. That means that every sad thought, depressing thought, would be turned into a hopeful thought. Like, it's all there.
Yeah. It's on your mind, kimosabe.
So my second question, so obviously, and I feel like I. I have, like, scriptural and scriptural answers, but sometimes I feel like I can get overly scriptural. And I'll just tell this, well, this is what the Bible says. But, like, how do I actually, like, apply that sometimes?
Right.
So actually Believing is the key.
Yeah.
It's kind of what I'm. One of the trends. I'm hearing y' all say.
Yeah.
How do you actually believe. And this is. This is very apparent to my situation. How do you actually believe when you feel like you've seen the opposite or you. Yeah. How do you feel like you. How do you actually believe when you've seen the opposite of what you've been believing happen in the past while you already believe it? Not just like you came to faith and then you start believing. I mean, like, you've been faithful. You've been. And you've been believing for this thing, but you have seen actually the opposite happen up until then.
The. I'll give you my initial answer.
I want to add on to this.
Yeah, My initial answer is I watch a World Series game. I didn't watch any of it. I just saw the highlights. It was 18 innings, and the winner won in the 18th inning. But in the third inning, they were losing. They were winning in the fifth, losing in the seventh, winning in the sixth, losing in the ninth, they won, lost. One loss, one loss. And in the 18th, they won. If you just watch SportsCenter and you watch. Oh, the. I don't even know who was even in the game, because I don't care. So somebody won. Nine, seven. Okay, well, now we can go back. Like, if you just go to chapter 42 of job 200M's.
Got it.
Then if you go read the rest of it, chapters one through chapter six, chapter eight, chapter 12, chapter 18, all along the way. He's making progress. He's going back. He's making progress. He's going back, or he's not making any progress, he's just getting kicked in the gut. And then in 42, boom, he wins. He's victorious. What. What does the promise of the Bible say? That you will be victorious. That the plan that he for your life will be unbelievable. It may look a little bit differently. Job didn't get the 10 kids that died. He got 10 new kids. Did he get this? Did he resurrect all the 10,000 ox or the 10,000 camels and 4,000 ox? Or what do they call the. What do they call the pair of an ox? I don't remember a pair. Yeah, but they come in pairs. So it says 2000, but it was really for whatever it was. Did he resurrect them all? No, he got new ones. He got better ones. The kids he got were like studs. So what I'm trying. I guess what I'M trying to say is, anything that's meant to wreck you, God's going to turn around and use it for good. He might not have authored what's happening in your life or my life or your life, but he ain't going to waste it. And it's going to come back significantly better than whatever it was you thought you were going to get or however you thought you were going to live. If you stand on the promise of it and have patience and just read any of it. None of these are like, great, great, great, great finishes. Great. They just start. Here's the scene. Suck, suck, suck. Endurance, endurance. Endurance. Lesson, lesson, lesson. Great. For God's glory, he's gonna do the thing that you can't get the credit for it. Whatever your next move is, Kate, can't get the credit. You ain't gonna get it. No one will even go, was that Kate or God? Yeah, it won't go that way. No one. When my stuff hits, that's gonna hit. It's gonna hit. Amen. No one's gonna go, man, Rutherford, that guy's awesome.
He made it happen.
He made it happen.
I'll pause on that, though, because there's actually a part of what you say, what you were just saying there, where I'm like, actually, like, I can relate with. But I feel like the Bible doesn't always say that, though. You're talking about how it was like it sucked. It sucked. Except it sucked and it was great. But the Bible also says, from glory to glory, strength to strengthen, victory to victory. So where do you, like, meet that together? Because I would almost argue I'm gonna
add on to this.
Part of my thought process would be. Is like all those people were before Christ and now I have Christ.
Oh, this is good. Don't let me lose my train of thought. How long was the time frame between chapter one, job, chapter 42, job? I don't know.
I've heard people talk about it being like 6 months.
Unbelievable how 2 years, 18 months. Listen to this. How old was he when he died?
Exactly?
Two years, a year and a half.
How old was he? How old was Job when he died? Does any. I really old somebody. Somebody write it in. This is super valuable to my brain right now.
Wes Whipple. You don't have to understand the process to receive the promise.
That's my testimony with receiving the baptism. Holy Ghost.
Come on. Come on.
I believe he was old receiving the promise.
Praise the lord.
Job was 140.
Hey, if this is bl.
Oh, here it is. Here it Is drop.

Jimmy Parker. If you have questions, throw them in. There's three of us. We got two screens up. Yes, Frank doesn't know, but I'm moving in. I'm not coming home. Mr. Jet. We're going to fly him out on an American Airlines flight. Okay, this is chat GPT. This did not come out of my Bible, but it says Job was likely around 70. Maybe it says it in here specifically, maybe it does not. I don't know. If you know, you can fact check us. Says he was 70 at the time of suffering. He lived another 140 years. He suffered for about five minutes. I'm not a mathematician. Said he lived for another 140 years. 210 years old. He suffered for 18 months or 6 months. Do the math. As a percentage, that's like a timeout in a game that you're currently in your life, like the suffering. So glory to glory. Is that.
Yeah.
Victory to victory. Doesn't mean you didn't have a sack in the game and you muffed up.
I feel like I had an answer to the question I asked you on that part where it was like you said, it sucked. It sucked. It sucked. It sucked. We won. I feel like that's more of like in the context of one prayer, right? One thing you're believing for one certain thing where it's like that one thing sucks, suck, sucked, and all of a sudden it's one. It's not saying your life sucks, sucks, sucks, sucks. No victory. It's just in like, oh, Cade's believing for a job. It sucked. It sucked. It sucked. It sucked. Oh, one.
Right.
And the idea is like your prayer, each one will end in victory after victory, strength. Amen.
Right?
Glory to glory.
Also, it only sucks if you're discontent.
Unless 100.
Obviously you lost your entire family, like job. But seasons only suck because of discontentment. Because really what we're saying is, God, I need more than what I'm currently experiencing right now to be satisfied and happy. And so if we never figure out the. The disc, the contentment issue, then we will live from suck to suck. Which is why, like last night I said that I believe that whenever all our dominoes start getting knocked over of promises and all the prayers are being answered, that I believe we're gonna be there. But we'll be there not having this conversation about the next promise.
Yeah.
Because we're gonna.
The discontentment issue is going to die.
The.
That's also why people get into debt.
Right.
It's just discontentment. You feel like you need something bigger than you actually like, need. And so then you get into debt and you go against biblical order.
Yeah. And they like having gratitude. I mean, look, the Bible is filled with endurance. It's hundreds and hundreds of thousands times endurance as a form of. In the form of suffering or suffering in the form of endurance creation. It's hundreds of times Romans 5 through 35. And then additionally, I don't know which one it is. Consider it great joy when you face trials of many kinds because of your endurance. And then builds character. It builds character. And what is it? And then you'll. Your character will be complete. Is that how it says it?
I'm learning.
I'm learning, dude. So it makes sense, bro. It's not once. It's like hundreds of occurrences where it's endurance, endurance, endurance and things that cause endurance, like to build muscle, you have to beat it up, which is creating endurance.
Yeah.
You know, so when I say suck, I just mean it's. There's some friction to something. There's some time. Waiting sucks. Well, it's really.
It's really not seeing with your eyes.
Right.
Or any of your senses feeling it, hearing it, all those not seeing that. But it's right.
I mean, look, if you're a farmer and you plant bamboo, it's going to sit in the dirt for a long time. Well, that sucks. You put it in, you're like, let's go.
Yeah.
So that's what that means. The endurance of waiting and seed and harvest and watering and all that. That's all accurate.
We just get to choose how we wait though, man. Yeah, we get to choose how we wait. If I was waiting for something, bro, and I was like in complete discontentment, I would miss out on so many moments like with my daughter that I would never get back again. Because I'm so focused on the thing ahead that I'm missing what's in front of me right now.
Yeah.
You know what I'm saying? So we get to. We get to choose how we wait. I believe you can enjoy the way waiting process. I really do.
I'm in the waiting process now. It's unbelievable. This. Who's in front of you now is in significant waiting process. Full stripping of all the things in. In a significant waiting process. Yeah. As far as I'm concerned. But compared to what compared to what? You wouldn't even make the Bible. Like you wouldn't even been in the book. Yeah, there's nothing in there about any of the stuff I'm enduring. Yeah, well, you, you had to sell your 1.8 million dollar house and move into your 175,000 dollar RV that has five TVs, all with Apple TV, DVD players, heating air, two full bathrooms, hundreds
of thousands of luxury shoes.
I correct people now. And painting, not multiple hundred thousands, but a lot of expensive shoes.
Yeah, so.
And I say that to say that doesn't even make sense. And I have a car. It was free. It has 200,000 miles on it. The Red Baron. Shout out to Ken Williams. I have a car that drives and occasionally has air conditioning. The seats fold. It has heated seats. A DVD player compared to your buddy in Frisco. No, I'm sucking wind compared to the world, bro. We're hammering it. Yeah, yeah. So you know, look, I'm, I'm filled with gratitude, Father, and I'm open to receiving more.
Amen.
And okay, so Jordan said Deuteronomy 8, the wilderness was used to humble the Israelites to prepare them for the promise. They were humbled while being provided for at the same time. Difficult times don't mean God's absence of absent doesn't mean God's absence of you. Look for him in the difficulty. You'll find his goodness.
Yes, bro. That's why in Isaiah, if somebody can find this scripture, because I don't want to tarnish it. But in Isaiah, it's the same scripture I used in the book of Unforgiveness, where it says that he has hidden treasures in the darkness. And so when you're going through a dark season, there's actually treasure in those seasons. And I've never met somebody who finds treasure and is disappointed. I've never met somebody who finds treasure and is depressed. Everybody that finds treasure rejoices when they find treasure. Now here's the cool thing about treasure. I don't think you really care if you found the treasure during daytime or nighttime.
Right.
I don't think if you found treasure and it starts pouring rain, I don't think you care if it's sunny or if it's raining.
Right.
Treasure is treasure in season or out of season. And it's guaranteed to us in the darkness. But it doesn't just say that you'll get treasure. It says, I've hidden it in the darkness. Which means we've got to activate our eyes to see so that we can actually find treasure in. In hard seasons.
Yeah. Do we answer that? Is there any more?
Sorry, I've been distracted by reading all of Nicholas Torres.
I was reading some of them, too. The Red Baron. The.
Yes. So what you just. All the things that you guys just said is the, like, English drawn out version. I mean, this is in English, but like, our drawn out version of like, almost practically saying Mark 11:24. I tell you you can pray for anything, and if you believe you've received it, it will be yours. And I think that it's. It talks about in the verse before, but you must really believe it will happen. Have no doubt in your heart. And then it says, I tell you you can pray for anything. So right there, you can pray for anything. And if you believe that you have received, will be yours. So you see this divide of if you believe that you have received, will be yours. And this is like a cool little thing that I feel like God's been showing me recently. And it's very.
Believe that you've received it and be sad. You can't believe that you've received it and be frustrated. You can't believe that you've received it and be discontent. It's literally impossible.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But it's also. It's believing you've received it, which is a past tense statement, and then it says, it will be yours is a future tense statement. So you're saying it's almost this, like. It's a really, like. It's really easy to, like, create some, like, doctrine where you're like, okay, I have to wait a long time. But I heard, and I quoted him earlier, Dr. Fred Price was saying that God is outside of time. And it says, now, faith is. So that's a current statement. That's a present statement. Faith is. So when you pray, believe it. So right now, if I were to pray, I believed it and believe I have received it, and you shall receive it.
Yeah.
So there's this separation of, like, okay, it could be a second from now, could be a minute from now. It could be 10 minutes, it could be a day, two days, a year, months, whatever. But the thing that makes it still true is the fact that God is outside of time.
Yeah.
So the prayer, the answer was sent in the spirit in the heavenly realm that we can't see immediately, but its fruition in our senses could be anything from a second after you pray it to. For Joseph, it was 12 years.
Yeah.
You know?
Yeah.
So
I mean, it's funny, when you were. When you were saying that we think in our, in our amount of time, like we lose frame of comparison, you know, Are you fast? Are you fast?
Medium. Compared to, to you, probably.
Good answer.
But to the players I play
and when, you know, now today and me today or you 15 years ago and me 15 years ago, you know, I don't know. Yeah, 15 years ago you were 10. You're probably still faster than me.
Maybe.
But like think about frame of reference or comparison when you think about all this stuff, like I'm going to live, you know, my life expectancy is what Job lived before he even had any of his. What even made him into the. He had a 70 year life before he even is in the Bible and then he has a six month story. Job lived 210 years, only six months of it. Or 18 months, if it's even in the Bible.
Yeah.
Nothing before and nothing after is even in it. Why? What? Just a piece that's in the middle for the lesson and the illustration of the lesson and from a timing perspective, that's the equivalent of like a matter of days or weeks for us, you know, and you know, from a frame of reference, you know, we compare ourselves. Like I haven't lived anything that would even make, you know, the new New Testament. If there's a new book getting written and I. That's not going to happen. Right. Because the Bible says it won't. But just for argument's sake, is anything you're going through even in the book. Look, people are getting resurrected from the dead still today, now, and radical miracles are happening.
Yeah.
But like for the most of us, we need some extra. We need some money, you know, I guess the lost sheep, the guy leaves, he comes back. You want your kid to come home if he's away at college and acting a fool, that's in here.
Yeah.
You know, but for the most part, most of the things we're going through wouldn't even make it in. Yeah, they just wouldn't make it in. It's not even hard enough to even be a story God would use to go grow people's faiths.
Yes.
But it's everything to us. So it's like we haven't even read the book because it's illustration. That's the point of a parable. That's the point of the stories. They're illustrations for us to be able to glean faith out of. Yeah. And they go, man. And to find gratitude and go, dude, that guy got rocked. That guy stayed in faith in pure whack, like chaos. Yes, bro, we got electricity
I'll share this.
And that's just perspective,
dude.
I wonder if we're going to the same thing. So I wonder if Frank and I
are going the same thing. What questions do you guys have? I'm fired up. I'm having a blast.
Okay. Roman. Romans 4, man. Romans 4. So the promise is received by.
But I have it. I was getting ready to do it.
Yeah.
True story.
So. So the promise is received by faith. It is given as a free gift. This is starting in verse 16. And we are all certain to receive it whether or not we live, according to the law of Moses. If we have faith like Abraham's, that's key. It's not just having faith. You gotta have faith like Abraham.
Was he important?
He was extremely important. And this is where most people, like, miss it. It's like most people don't even know the story of Abraham. What he went through, how he endured. None of those things. So how can you even say you have faith like Abraham if you don't even know what Abraham's faith looked like, Right? For Abraham is the father of all who believe. That is what the scripture means. When God told him, I have made you the father of many nations. This happened because Abraham believed in the God who brings the dead back to life and. And who creates new things out of nothing. Even when there was no reason for hope. In other words, even when everything that I'm looking at doesn't make sense, even when. Verse 18. Even when there was no hope, no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping, believing that he would become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, that's how many descendants you. You will have. And Abraham's faith did not weaken. Abraham's faith did not weaken. Even though at about a hundred years of age, he figured his body was as good as dead. There's no way this is going to happen. This is completely impossible. My body is completely useless. There's no way for this to be able to be created. But his feet. Faith in the middle of all of that was not weakened. Then this is what it says. Verse 20. Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. This right here is key, y'. All. This is key. It says that Abraham never wavered in believing God's promise. It didn't say Abraham never wavered in believing God.
Right?
It's in believing God's promise. Because I believe that. No, like, I believe that God can do it. Is me still believing in God. But I believe that God is going to do the very thing he said he was Going to do that's believing in God's promise. It's. It's back to what you were talking about, Rutherford in the beginning. You said you got to get with the specifics, right? You got to get with the specifics. And so is it.
Keep going.
It literally says, in fact, his faith grew stronger. And in this, he brought glory to God. He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises. And then it goes on to say that because of that, God counted him as righteous. Notice what it says. So the promise is received by faith, but it needs to be faith like Abraham's. It needs to be faith like Abraham. It's funny. Joseph is like, come on, Frank. And I literally just read the Scripture. It's just the Bible preaching, man. It's just the Bible preaching. Like, I want to become the individual. I want to develop myself in such a way where I do not waver. My faith does not get weak. My faith actually increases. And I can be realistically enough to say, there's my body. It's literally at an age where it can't do it.
But God done.
My situation is in a situation where it literally cannot happen. But God, that's what Abraham believed, man. Abraham didn't just believe in God. He believed in God's promise, bro. There's a lot of people right now who believe and have faith in God. They just don't have faith in his promise.
They believe in, like, a macro God in the sky that when they die, they'll go to heaven, and that's about it. Yeah, I mean, I've just. Just been my experience that that's. People will believe in God in heaven, and when they die, they'll go there and it ends there.
And to go back to the question you asked earlier, right? Like, when things around you are not happening and stuff, I mean, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. It's what the Bible says. The best thing that you can do whenever you're doubting is read the Word. The best thing that you can do when you're struggling to believe is read the Word. The best thing that you can do in the middle of uncertainty is read the Word. Which is why our desire to read the Word or to talk to God is the first. First thing that goes whenever the circumstances aren't adding up. Like, it's. It's just insane, but it's right there.
I think it's funny that I'm making a connection like, faith. I think people put faith into different categories. Like, faith for, like, answered Prayers or faith for salvation. But I was just having this thought to myself, like, why is it really easy for me when I pray a prayer of salvation, when I pray a prayer of receiving Christ to continue to believe? Like, I'm going to heaven. It used to actually not be easy for me to believe that a while ago, but that's where I am now. Like, I. I know I'm going to heaven. I wake up and I've, like, I've received salvation, and I can, like, profess that you every day, and you can hold to the confession of faith you made of receiving salvation. Like, if you believe in your heart, confess your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, you can hold to that confession and keep it. And then one day I'm going to be in heaven. But when I pray a prayer, like, lord, I need a job, or Lord, like, heal my son or Lord, like, whatever.
Yes.
List of things we can't hold to that confession through, like, one thing that seems opposite of it.
Yeah.
You know what I mean?
It's because you can't see salvation. You can see circumstances.
Exactly. It's really easy for us to believe for things in heaven because we're not going to, like, there is no, like, seeing it happen right now.
Right.
It's almost easy to just, like, sleep on the fact, like, oh, like, I don't need to see it right now, or, like, it doesn't have to come through right now, or it doesn't. Those type of things. But it is the same faith that you receive salvation, which salvation is not just eternal life. That's a whole different conversation. It's a great conversation, but it's the same faith you use.
Two more hours.
It's the same faith you use, Steve. An answered prayer, you know?
Yep. Amen.
Listen, if you're watching this invite three friends on, it's about to get thick. I'm getting fired up. I'm just telling you right now.
Thick with three C's. Praise the Lord.
Okay, so I've read this. When I hit Little Caesars, Blake texted me, glut, glutton.
Shut up. Blake.
Blake.
As that is shaming, as Jonathan Shuttlesworth says, eating is the one thing Krishna allows.
That is the one thing Christians are allowed, is eating. You can't drink. You can't fornicate. You can't get wild with drugs.
I can.
You can fornicate a married guy. Yeah, that.
If I was you, there's zero chance I'd be in this house right now.
I'm gonna go home.
Hey, listen, this real quick. Habakkuk. The Lord's second reply. Then the Lord said to me, write my answer plainly on tabit so that a runner can carry the correct message to others. I have that. Write it down on tablets of stone and make the message clear that somebody can roll up on and go, oh, I know the play. I know the plan. Specificity. Write this down. Specificity.
Yes.
When I asked Frank, where do you want to live? He's like, destin. Or he said, Florida. Cool. What part? Destin. What color's the house? Don't know. What's the living room look like? What part of the living room is the Christmas tree in?
As I'm sitting here, I'm getting more vision because this is what I always imagined my house being like.
I bet. And this is very cool.
The. The living room is too small.
I agree.
I need a massive living space.
I just want to let you know what's going on over there. He is literally praying for him, putting his finger on his tooth to heal it.
Those are the guys that we're gonna
do a podcast with tomorrow.
Done. So, so listen, the vision is for the future time. It describes. It describes the end. And it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.
Come on.
So, like, stop whining about waiting.
That's a good. That's a good word.
Look at the proud. They trust in themselves and their lives are crooked, but the righteous will live by the faithfulness to God. Like it just says to wait. Look, I ain't that smart. It just says the weight. So just wait.
Yeah.
Listen to this. If you're between teams, if you got a team in one day. I don't even grow my faith. My faith doesn't move. If you get a job the day you want a job, it doesn't move. My faith, if my lady comes back
a week after she moves out does. Because my faith isn't. Is based on the Bible,
but you know what I mean? But the Bible.
What's the Bible?
This is the current day amen happening in my neighborhood Bible, which is what this is created to do.
Yep.
So you look at the story and go, I can relate to that story.
And you know what grows your faith more? How he endures the process.
100. So, like, I'm believing and declaring things. God showed me and told me. And there's been progress toward those things.
You know why you increased my faith so much, bro? Because you've been enduring the process.
That's true.
It just says it I'm telling you right now. Like, that's what I would tell Steve. That's what I told K. That's. I told Joyful. That's what I told Guy Jones. I said, you guys have no idea this dude is going through. I mean, if. If most other humans were going through what you were going through, they would. They. They would off themselves. You know what I mean?
Five minutes, I bet.
But the fact that you show up, Joyful, you show up fired up all the time, every. Every single day, fired up. Now, that doesn't mean that you don't go before the presence of God and break down. And he builds you up when things aren't going the way that they need to go, right? But you don't leave the secret place broken. You leave the secret place fired up.
Right?
And, bro, that has increased so many people's faith. Guys like it. It's. It's not just about waiting. It's about how we're going to wait, how we're going to decide, and you get to decide to wait. If it's raining outside, you can either be miserable because it's raining, or you can dance in the rain.
Don't lose the train of thought. I only have one phone, so I can only do one Google search, and I've already got a Google pulled up, so I'll pull it up in a minute. Here. You do it.
Yeah.
Google image search. And you all could do it at home if you have another device. Google image search. You know, one of my favorite things is pepperoni, cheese, and crackers. I'm fired up. We're not getting off this live for two hours. What's the longest live I've ever done? I don't know.
Oh, I read the entire book of Genesis in one sitting.
Oh, perfect. This will be as fun as that,
but like six or seven hours.
Oh, perfect.
So it's on my old YouTube channel.
Google image search. Partly sunny. Show the screen. Google image is the key.
The first one. This one.
Partly sunny. Just show it. I hope they got it works on your phone.
What do you mean?
Now search. Partly cloudy.
Oh, partly the image, right?
Yes, sir. By the way, I'm going to read a definition to you. Why he does that? We're going to weave. You got a movie? What now? Just partly sunny and partly cloudy. And show us the image of what it shows you. Yes, it's the same image. Partly sunny, partly partly sunny. Show them the phone. Then Google partly cloudy. Then show them the phone. It's the same image, you guys. Oh, yeah, it's your perspective? Google doesn't know the difference between partly sunny and partly cloudy. Look at that. Bang, bang.
