Really clarifies one thing. God only wants one thing from you, and it's only one thing you can really give him. And it's your heart. Some people wonder why we come to church. It's because church is a time where we let God sculpt our heart. Church is a time where we let God put His word in our heart. And church is a place where we can express our gratitude corporately for who he is and what he's done. But what God wants us to understand, he is representing us very well. Our representation isn't in Washington. It's not the State House. It's at his right hand. His son that has died and rose again. Our high priest that has nail scars in his hands ever lives to make representation before you through oh Lord Jesus, help us. That's what God's trying to say. We're spending our energy, our time, and we're fighting battles that already been won. Come on. Thanks be unto God. That always causes us to try and listen In Christ Jesus when He is the center. It's not just the song we sing. It is a life that Jesus said, I've come that you might have life and life more abundantly. How many want a full life, an anointed life, a life with zest and power? Then stand in awe in who he is. We're weighed in the balance and we're unwanting. We still want even though we have everything. See, the person who Jesus died for. Christ is the Savior of the whole world because of our sins. Listen, the Creator became our Savior. That's what blows me away. It's not a cross. It is the cross and the person that was on that cross that amazes me because a lot of people died on the cross. But only one died, rose again, and only one was the creator of heaven and earth that hung and bled on that cross. For me to stand in all of God, it will idle proof your heart. I need to understand that he's the potter and I'm the clay and he ain't finished yet, but he has begun. A good work in me is going to complete it. In fact, Paul said in Romans 8, you've been predestined to be conformed into the image of Christ. If there's an area of your life that's not reflecting the risen king, the divine sculptor is working on that area in your life.

Look up.

Your redemption is drawing nigh. God will never leave nor forsake you until he has completed what he started in your life. We need to stand in awe. He is My everything and the very breath in my lungs deserve to give him glory and honor. And where my assignment is, I'll stay and I'll cling there and give him the glory and praise if I feel like it or not. Naked you came in this world, and naked you're going to return. But when you and I stand before the judgment seat of Christ, there's going to be fire in his eyes, and there's going to be some wood, there's going to be some hay, and there's going to be stubble. But the only thing that's going to survive and last is that which was for his glory. It's all about him. He's more than what we need, and he's already provided in this good news called the Gospel. His death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and soon return. I want to stand in your all. I want to live for your glory. Work on this heart. Here it is, Lord. Here is my heart. Cleanse it. Speak to it. Break it. Make it whole. Make it humble. Make it unique. Make it exclusively yours. Set it apart. And, Lord, reveal. Open my understanding to the beauty of who you are. Your mercy, your kindness, your power, your love for me, O Lord, here it is. You know, scripture really clarifies one thing. Dude, we were talking in North Dakota, and I told them when we were over there, I said, we've got to do a podcast where we just talk about demon stories and insane healing stories. Because, dude, there's nothing more that's going to increase people's faith than just hearing testimony. And so that's literally what we're just gonna do today. And you get to, like, sit in and listen to it. But I do want this to be, like, really interactive. So if you've got questions, thoughts, put them in the chat. And actually tell People who are listening right now, because I think what's really cool about you guys and Cade was mentioning this the other day. He was like, like, wait, what? I was like, yeah, man. Like, these dudes have been like, I'm, like, sharing stories. And he's like, wait, when did they. When did they get, like, really, like, set on fire for God? I said. I was like, james was at the North Dakota launching pad, and he was like, bro, that's really fast. I'm like, I know that's. That's what the Holy Spirit does, right? And so I want you guys to share, like, where you were, like, when did you come to, like, get on fire with. For the Holy Ghost. Right. And filled with the Holy Ghost, and. Because I feel like it's going to give people the opportunity to be like, dude, if they're able to be moving in that in such short amount of time, I can move in that. Because for some reason, it's stupid. I get it. But for some reason, people feel blocked out of. Like, that's not for me. I need to be at a certain level of maturity. I need to be a certain level of this that they, like, disqualify themselves. So we'll kick it off with you, John. Man of God.

Yeah. So my name is John Rasmussen. I am a humble leader chosen by God to carry out his will, love, and compassion. I mean, that's just an understatement. That's just the statement I could give myself easily. But, like, what is it you want to talk about?

When did. When did you really get on fire for Jesus? And how did that happen?

Not just because I'm on your podcast, but it was when, you know, I was at the launching pad and in September, and, you know, K.J. york, you and, you know, Steve Weatherford and all those guys. And, like, you were talking.

You were.

You were like, I wanted to get out of it so bad. Like, I remember being in the launch pad just like, man, this just cannot be real. And so I just kept, like, trying to pull myself out of it. And it was like, I just kept getting pushed and pushed and pushed in more. And what I'm talking about is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit just kind of pushed me into it. And then from that moment, like, we laid down our burdens, and then, you know, you do the lunges and the cold plunge and doing all that thing, and it kind of absorbs you, and you kind of get introduced into this brotherhood. And then I realized in that moment that being a Christian could be cool.

Yeah.

And I have to be like, weak. I didn't have to be like, amen, bro. And so, like, I was like, oh, man.

And I could be on fire. So.

I've always wanted to be this. I've always wanted to be this way. Yeah, but like, something was always saying, like, don't be that way.

When you say be this way, what do you mean? Oh, get specifics.

Just like, just being on fire for the Lord, you know, being able to

do whatever I, like, want with the

Lord, like, listening to the Holy Spirit, like, I mean, I can just tell you about stuff that happened, you know, a couple hours ago. I mean, it's every day, all day long. It's.

It's 100.

I mean, getting a phone call at 2:00 in the morning to, to go pray for somebody that's in the hospital or amen, you know, like, it's like, dude, I'm running late for a meeting and I gotta cancel it because we gotta go pray. Like, we gotta get a demon out of it does, man.

So, yeah, so September.

Yeah.

And then right now is March. And in that time period, you're the guy that people call when it's 2am in the morning and they need prayer.

Yeah, absolutely.

And it's not just like they need prayer to be comforted.

No, no. I mean, there, there are some people that think that possibly, like. But I mean, usually it's like, it's pretty big stuff. I mean, we did deathbeds and you know, like there's, you know, things go bump in the night. Dude, they call us, man, like the modern day Ghostbusters, but, like, we're not the Ghostbusters.

Demon busters.

I was getting there.

I was. I was gonna get a full circle

with it, but

No, he wasn't. He sat right behind me. But, man, he got rocked that day too. Now he's like, he's like super skinny

No, so we've so, just so, you know, like, we've like always been Christians, right? Like, we were the guys that, you know, we were like, probably eighth grade. We found Jesus in eighth grade.

Hold the mic too. That way you could just kind of relax.

I don't want us to have to pray for your back because you're hunched over the whole time.

Dude, there's a massage chair on the other room. It's pretty comfortable too. You guys should try it out before you guys leave.

This is an Airbnb. This is like some Japanese massage chair over there. And it's actually pretty cool for like 20 minutes before we started this thing. So it's pretty awesome.

So yeah, we, I mean we found God in like eighth grade. But like, you know, just. We never like had a church in Willison that we're like a part of and, and then just kind of understanding like who, who Jesus was. Dude, we just, I just drifted so far. You know, we always kind of like knew like, hey, scriptures are good, but yeah, we're just gonna do our own thing. I'm gonna do my own thing, you know, I'm gonna build my kingdom. And. And again, I was, I was at the August launch pad and you know, but all summer long the, the Lord was working on me and I was still very defiant of it. But you know, he just kept putting people in my life, just really humbling my spirits and just like telling dude, hey, you need to, you need to like submit to this. So just different pastors were putting in my life, different people. And then all of a sudden I'm at like. So my brother in law. Just a quick thing like so all summer. So my brother in law, he's a pastor, he's went to Moody, he's a youth pastor. He just. And now he's just got a new job at. In Blaine, Nebraska. So he'll be moving there and coming to pick his dog up from my house, but super excited about that. Jonah, come pick him up anytime. Love your dog. And I just can't wait to get him out of the house. Anyway, so he's. He moves in with me in May and for like three months because you don't want to pay rent. And so I was like, just move in. He's like, this would be great because then I can hang out with. Hang out with his kid and his wife and stuff and, and before they leave because we're not. I don't see him very much anymore. So anyway, they move in and then every Monday at like 6 o' clock in the morning, like we meet up for coffee usually to like, you know, talk about all the bad stuff was happening in our marriages and like just stuff that we're having troubles with and then how we like kind of dealt with It. And then it turned into kind of like. Kind of like a. Just a crap fest for about two minutes. And then it's like, well, like, we'll take it to the Lord. And like. And I was like. Kind of just like, all right. Like, we. And then I let Jonah pray.

You know what I mean?

And so then there's. There's that moment, and it's like that for three months, and I start softening my heart. And I hated worship, man. I hated it.

Why?

Well, what I would say was, man, these guys suck. You know what I mean? Like, but it was. But it was every time.

Worship schemes, bro.

But again, that's not the problem. The problem is my heart. And so. So Sunday, a week before Launchpad. So that's that Sunday, the week before Launchpad. So he calls. Call. So I drive Jonah to. To Chicago, drop his car off for him. I go to church service with him. The whole sermon is on Psalms 96, which is like, all worshiping the Lord. Like, and how, like, worshiping the Lord is not a choice. It's about, like. It's about your heart posture. It's like, just everything that's wrong with me, like, in this moment. And I'm like, oh, okay. And we get into that, and so Jonah's like, and I'm sitting here. Oh, by the way, I'm not sitting. I'm not sitting. I'm like. I'm sitting down, holding the kid. I'm like, well, I'm holding the kid. I don't even have to stand up. You know what I mean? It's like I'm holding the kids. So I just get to sit. You know, my feet are in the aisle. So lady's like, trying to like, hey, your feet are in the aisle. I was like, ah, sorry, I got the kid, like, so I could dart out of there. And then the whole sermon is like. It doesn't matter if it's hymns. It doesn't matter if it's this or it doesn't matter if some guys up on there just, like, trying to sing. Yeah, it's about praising the Lord. And I was, like, super convicted.

Yeah.

I'm like, son of a gun, dude. And so I go. I go to. So. So now fast forward to. So then a couple weeks before this, I had told the pastor, I said, hey, job at the church, because I figured that'd bring me closer to the Lord if I had some responsibility to the church. So I'm meeting with him on Thursday

at lunch and said, hey, man, I need a job.

Straight up. Yeah.

Cuz our intention is to get closer to God. Yeah.

Like this is my thought process that's so good. I was sick, like making my wife late to worship and all that stuff. And I was like, man, I gotta get close to God somehow. And so anyway, so we show up to. So we show up that Thursday for lunch to Vondell. And he's like, yeah man, like let me tell you more, like how you feel with the Holy Spirit, like how you feeling like right now and how are things in your life? And I'm like, yeah, I just need a job at church, man, like all this stuff. He goes, okay, all right, well what do you think? You like fit into this? And then like I'm just bashing another church that I was doing. Just like make excuse to like not go to church. But I'm talking to a pastor. What do you think he wants me to be? And I'm like, Vondel's like, james, come on. So he's like, he's like. I was like, all right. And then has like, hey, so you're gonna go to that worship night with Steve Weatherford? I was like, oh yeah, I forgot that's this weekend. She's like, did you really forget? I've been reminding you all summer long that this is gonna be happening because my wife wants me to get some kind of change going on. I'm just, yeah. Not living life right. Well. So then that Thursday worship comes and this Johnny guy is like sitting down there and I'm like this. I've never, I've never done an altar call. I never go to the altar, you know what I mean? I've always just like been that Baptist that just like, yeah. Set up in the high up pews. I'm like, ah, that's for everybody else. That's not for me to do altar calls, you know, I mean, I would go down there and I'm like, you know what? I'm going to be different today and I'm going to go down there. Johnny's standing there and like, he's standing there and he's like, come here. And I'm like, what? He's like, oh no, let me pray for you. And I was like, okay. I mean like, what are you going to pray? And he goes, what do you need? I got it. And he just hugged me, gave me a big old hug and I was like. He's like, man, I just love you.

Amen.

And I was like, started to tear up. And he goes, dude, it's okay. I was like, he said, just Stay here. It, like, hugged me for a little longer, and I was like. Just, like. I closed my eyes, and he felt just like my dad, my real dad.

Wow.

And I kind of got emotional, and so I was like. I was like. I was like. So I just, like, pulled away really quick. I went back up, and my wife could see me, and she just. She just, like. She just, like, looked at me, and she just knew it was something. So she went down there. She went down to the other. And then I'm sitting out by the car because, like, you know, you just had an emotional experience of the Holy Spirit, and it just, like, started softening my heart. I'm not, like, really even into. Really into, like, this. I'm just like, no. This is, like. Just trying to put the earthly manhood of, like, oh, I need to be so tough, and I don't want to do this anymore.

You know what I mean?

But. But I'm so tough. You know what I mean? It's like, but you don't want to do it anymore. That's some wrestling.

Yeah.

No, I don't think I'm gonna go to. I don't think I'm gonna go to the launch pad. This is. This is stupid. I got these guys, dude. They're all in their black shirts. I just think they're cool men in black here, dude. They're all jacked. I'm out of shape, dude. I don't know. And then my wife. My wife's dad comes walking up. He goes, hey, so you're gonna pick me up tomorrow? So we go to launch pad. And I'm like, hannah goes, yeah, he'll pick you up. And I was like, dude, you just gonna answer for me? I was like, yeah, I guess I'll pick you up now. I'm gonna take Chris to the launch pad. Steve's just like, I love you, Steve Black, just jumping up and down. James, I'm so glad you're here. Actually, you know what? Steve, Jazz, Eli, Marco, they're all like, just. I didn't see them all day. They just left me to. To.

To die in the pews, dude, when you're.

Launching pad.

Yeah, launching pad. They didn't say anything to me. I'm like, how are you guys just gonna bring me to a place that just destroys my soul right here and rebuilds me back up into a man, and you won't even talk to me? Jazz, why are you running away from me?

He's like, I'm not.

I'm going to get changed. Yeah, why you gotta get changed. You gotta get. You don't gotta get an ice bath. He's like, because I'm in shorts and it's cold. It's okay, John. It worked out. It wasn't your time, John.

We're unoffendable,

so this is the moment. So the first day, totally destroyed. Holy Spirit tells me, like, hey, drop it. Put your hands up. And I'm. That guy's like, the guys up in the front were like, a bunch of, like, sissies that are just like. I'm like, look at these guys. Got their hands up. And then, like, that's me at church normally. Yeah. And then I was like, they just want to be seen. Look at them being seen, like, by me.

They don't even know who you are,

but you think they want to be seen by you?

So stupid and so conceited. So then I was like. So I go to. So I'm like, in there. And he's like, why don't you put your hands up? And I was like, because I can. I did shoulders, like, two days ago. Like, James, you worked out, like, one time. The first time in, like, six years, dude. Like, in. Your shoulders hurt. Put your hands up. And it's like, no, I can't. It was, like, all day. And I was like. And I was talking to Ray Wick about this. He's like, dude, I felt like it was, like, three hours that were worship. He's like, no, it was like, 20 minutes.

Yeah.

I was like, well, lunch also felt like three weeks, so.

Yeah. You lived a whole different life.

Yeah. Oh, for sure. It comes walking. So, like, he's like, put your hands up. And then it was like. And then I, like, trying to put it up, and it's like, all of a sudden, like, somebody's screaming in my ear. But it's like, internally, get your hands up. But before you get your hands up, drop it. And, dude, I was holding on all this crap, and I was like, I'm hearing stuff, dude. Like, this is nuts. And I'm, like, sitting here, like, sobbing. And for me. So I'm like, one of the last guys. And, like, everybody's coming around to pray. Yeah. I've already done the lunges. Did the ice bath, which. The ice bath is weird, too. And I'm, like, raising my hands. I'm singing at the top of my lungs, and I'm, like, the last guy. I'm like. When I open my eyes to see who just screamed in my ear, there's guys, like, coming to me, but I'm by myself.

So There was nobody screaming in your ear?

No, it was the Holy Spirit talking to me, man. Man. So I don't tell anybody this. I go and sit by a tree for, like, two and a half hours. Like, I'm on this picnic table.

Look.

Looking at this tree, Adam Chastain needs

to be a warning label. The Holy Spirit will turn you into a tree hunter.

I wasn't hugging the tree. I was just looking at the tree because it wasn't asking me questions. And then here comes, like. And then I, like, walk over because I'm thinking about going to get some food. I walk over, and Adam Chastain comes up, and he's just talking talk, talk, talk, talk, talk. And I'm like. I'm like, just trying to follow along. I was like, so how's the dog thing? Because, like, he does dog, dog. He does. Watching dogs, and he trains dogs. He's like, yeah, Adam, he's super cool, dude. You guys should get to know him. He's awesome. Adam Shastain. And so he goes. He goes. He goes. Standing there, and I'm like, hey, do you want some chapstick? And he goes. And I hand it to him. Like, he grabs a chapstick, and he's

like,

no, I'm good. Gives it back to me. And then he goes on to the story that he was telling. I was like. Like, I was quiet, dude. I was like, I'm never a quiet person. Obviously, you guys can tell now. Not a quiet person, right? So here I am, just quiet. Handsome guy made chapstick. And he's like, what's going on? And then Steve's like, oh, there you are, man. I've been looking for you. You've been ignoring me all day long. And I'm like, whatever, man. And he's like, let's get you some food. I don't tell anybody anything. Yeah, I don't tell him. Nothing was going on in my head. I'm just, like, wrecked. I'm crying.

I can't stop crying.

You guys just get me crying. I felt like my heart's broken. I'd be kicked in the shins.

My father, like, I got kicked in this.

No, dude, I did a thousand lunges, dude. Dude, they're like, maybe do a thousand lunges. And then they put the chapel on top of the hill, and they're like, go climb it, James. I'm like, dude, I worked out six years, man. Besides shoulders.

Two days ago, Michael Simon said, it's funny. It's funny because listening to this one uncomfortable situation, they were Faced with. They have led so many people to God. So thankful for you, too.

So anyways, I get wrecked. Steve scissors. I'm sitting there. So the next day, like, I go home, 11 o' clock at night, boom, ball my eyes out. Hannah's like, this guy's crying. Like, what the heck? He's crying, and I'm trying to sleep, and I fall asleep. I get rest, man. Like, the first time I had, like, dude, I got re. My. My whole body was just. Dude, it was so exhausted from trying to fight and do everything on my own. And then I finally gave control of the Lord, and he gave me rest. Yeah, dude, that's the best gift I ever got from the Lord.

My wife's like, what's going on with this guy? He's like, she's, like, freaking out. She don't want to ask.

That's what you said in the documentary. You were saying.

Yeah, I finally got rest, dude. I was tired, man. I was tired of doing it myself, and I was just, like, just.

Just drained.

Right. So, yeah, the next day, I'm sitting at the pews, like, I ain't saying nothing. I'm not grabbing that mic. Usually I'm a person that would probably, like, grab the mic, you know, try to make the show about James, you know?

Yeah.

This time I was like, I want to be a fly on the wall. I want nobody to notice me. And guess who just starts yapping. And he goes, get up here, Rasmussen. I'm like, oh, I didn't know my. One of my billers were here. Raspberry said, get up here. I'm like, no, where is he? Where's John at? He'll get up there and talk. And he's like, oh, wait. I'm like, the only one here, you know?

Yeah.

So I go up there, and he's like, hey, man, heard you got a message from the Holy Spirit. And I'm like, who you been talking to? Wait, I didn't say anything to anybody. So, like, who could you talk to? Yeah. He's like, I heard you got a message. You've been. You've been fighting with some stuff. And I was like, I'm confused, man. And he's like, who are you talking to? And it's like, dude, remember, you can't hide in this room. You can't hide from all your problems. Yeah. You gotta face them right now. So I was like, oh, man. I guess I gotta get up there and talk. He's like, grass, let's go. Let's do this, man. Get up here. So I get up and talk. My voice is just crackling. I'm crying. I'm like. Don't know what to say. And I'm, like, trying to get off the stage as fast as I can, but I'm like, you know, my legs are rough and tired and. Just rough and tired. And then I was like, I gotta tell all my brothers about this.

Amen.

I gotta tell everybody I know about the Holy Spirit, cuz, like, dude, he's real, man. But it was a moment. You said something, and I'll share this until the day I die. He's like, we, like, dude, this is, like, the most masculine thing that I've, like, forgot about in my life. And he's like, dude, it, like, hit me right in the nuts when you're like, I bet your wives are going to the pastors to get prayer. Your wives are going to other men to get prayer. And I was like, son of a gun, dude. That's true. And he's like, we are no longer to be the men that ask other men to pray for our wives, man. I was like, dude, he's right. I want to be. My wife needs to hear me pray.

Amen.

And then we go out back, and they're like, hey, let's pray. And they teach me how to pray. And I was like, dude, I've never prayed like this. I never gave thanks to the Lord. I'm just like, hey, God, give me this, give me this, give me this, like, all the time. It's like, when are you giving thanks, bro? Yeah, it's good, dude. We're not open to that spiritual world. You know what I mean?

Come on, James.

We're not open to that spiritual world. Like, dude, I was a Christian, eighth grade, dude. I am 32 years old, dude.

Yeah.

Do the math. I don't do math. Sorry, but it's been a long time. I went to middle school in 2007, man.

Like, yeah.

I had all that time to you that the Holy Spirit's never spoke to me. Why? Because I never gave him control.

Wow.

So then that moment's like, dude, okay, I gotta do something different. I gotta start living for Jesus. And then it's like, dude, stop building your kingdom. Build mine.

Yeah.

And, dude, that's what I've been doing.

Just building mine, bro. Y' all have Been non stop building the kingdom.

I got a job, dude. I wanted a job and God just gave me one, dude. Let's talk about God's job, dude.

With the best race as possible. Yes, that's good. Let's talk about God's job. First of all, thank you guys for, for sharing, for sharing that. It's really cool hearing everyone's like, experience, man. And half the dudes that I know honestly just got wrecked at a launching pad. And it's cool how everyone's experience is so different, but it's awesome. The internal dialogue that was going on in everyone's head where they're just like, why am I here? I need to leave. But also, I really want this, but I don't want to do this, but I know that I need this. It's very interesting and it leads me to, like, to think. The initial thought that came into my head was that it's interesting that because it requires an intense and immense amount of courage to get to that place where it's like, I know this is what I need. This is not what I freaking want to do right now. This is not what I want to experience. But it's. I know it's what I need. It's like, it takes so much courage to just give yourself to that. Which then leads to what we're about to talk about being so easy. If you could be courageous enough to be in a room like that and fully surrender to the Holy Spirit and just tell God, like, or fully yield to God and be like, I give you all control, bro. Like, I don't care how I feel. I need you to just take it. If you can get to that place, everything that we're about to talk about, these awesome stories that are going to give God glory and are going to give you, who's listening right now, an injection and an impartation of faith to actually do damage on the kingdom of hell.

Yeah.

And build the kingdom of heaven. Because that's really all this is for. Everything is for. You're going to get that. But it requires courage. And, bro, once you yield to the Holy Spirit, that's the biggest step we could ever take, which then makes all this automatic. So let's start off with some demon stories.

And so just went and started doing some chores with him. And then I was like, by the way, hey, dude, like, you need to come over to my house for dinner. And the night before this. So it's Sunday. John went to launch pad on Saturday,

I'm not saying it, Eli. I'm not saying it. Jeez. Okay, so I'm like. I'm sitting there, like. So I get home from after launch, John's launch, like, the next week. It's the next week, and all week, I'd been praying for my house. So it'd been like, okay, it's two weeks, actually. I've been praying for my house, and I'm praying for. For just, you know, I want. I want structure in my house. I want.

Yeah.

I want to be free from anything that's not the Lord. So I'm praying. I'm like, lord, just, you know, protect my house. You know what I mean? Like, I don't know. Do what you do. Like, you know what I mean? Thanks, Jesus. Amen. And so I'm doing that, like, every night, and then I'm praying for My wife, every night. And I said. And the one prayer I said is like, hey, if there's anything in my. If there's anything that doesn't align with God, like, has to get out of my room. And it goes out of my room.

Well, so John goes to launch pad, and then he goes, hey, could you pick me up? And I was like, yeah. Oh, I got Jesus. Jesus King shirt for you, bud. Come pick it up. Like, I'll bring it to you. I forget it. So the next morning, he's like, got his whole family. I was like, I knew he was gonna be on fire, dude. Like, So I was like. So he's like, got his whole family all wrapped up going to the church, stuff like that. Like, well, it's early in the morning, so, like, I'm 11 o' clock kind of guy.

My wife And I are 11 o' clock people. You know what I mean? And so. But I get a knock on the door, my bedroom door.

And I was like, me and Hannah, like, look at each other. Like, I'm like, what was that? It was like, hello. Like, just, hello. Who's there? You know? Hannah's like, we'll check. Check it out. I was like, nah, we're supposed to go back to sleep. That's what I did. I just showed my. They'll go away or they'll come in, you know, I thought John was coming to get his Jesus King shirt that I forgot. And I was like. So Hannah's like. And then I hear this.

like that on my door. And I was like, who is that? Just pee a little. Like, me and Hannah, like, get up out of there. I was like, whoa, that's kind of weird. And then she checks all the cameras. Like, dude, she's like, she's all on there. She's like, nobody's at her house, James. And I was like, somebody's here. They're knocking, dude.

So I called John, and he's, like, not answering. And I was like, he must be just, you know, he's probably taking a crap in the other bedroom, you know?

John, you here? John? Kind of scared, you know? So, like, I called Johnny. I called Johnny. Hey, were you at my house? He's like, no. And I was like, dude, you got. You got to be at my house. And he's like. He's like, no, dude. Like, I'm at church. Hey, dude, bring my Jesus King shirt. And I was like, yeah, okay, fine. So then I Was like, all right, we're cool. It was nothing. It's probably a dog. Something's going on. They're on my floor. They're not outside. And I'm like, oh, man. There's like, it's the dogs. I just kept saying, that's the dog. But I can forget about it. I'm gonna go to church. Praise Jesus and go to Praise Jesus. And I'm like, john, are you sure you weren't at my house over there? He's like, dude, I didn't come to your house. And I was like, dude, there was nobody at our house. There was nobody at her house. And I was like, oh, man. So then I was like. So then I was like, I went to lunch. Then Aaron Sexton was like, hey, man, I need a. We need to get together. And I was like, all right, we're going to dinner. We're going to dinner.

He's like, I got. I need it on my cup filled up. And so he's like. Calls me up, and I'm like, all right, dude. Like, I'm on fire, man. Like, let's do this. So I. We go to. We go to Basil, we get some sushi, and. And we talk for, like, two hours. And then Hannah goes home to take a nap. Oh. So she's taking a nap, and she hears somebody come in the front door, like, take their boots off, and then walk up the stairs. And I'm sitting here, like, so I don't know any of this is going on. I'm at. I'm at dinner with Aaron Saxton, John. And then I'm walking back to John's house, and Hannah's got to come pick me up. And, like, right when I leave, me and Aaron, we're finishing up our conversation. He gives me a big hug in the corner. We're praying. People probably think we're weird when they're driving by, but we're just waving at them. This is normal. This is normal. We're praying on the streets. And so then I get into John's house. Hannah's, like, freaking out. I'll go to pick you up. I'm going to pick you up. I was like, all right, come pick me up.

Yeah.

So she just drives over there, picks me up. We're, like, driving back to. We're driving back to my house. She's like, babe, I gotta tell you about this thing. It's like something's in our house.

I don't know.

I think there's a homeless dude in our house. I'm like, Homeless dude. And we're like. So we're at the light, and she's like. She's like, what are you gonna do? And I was like, I'm gonna handle it. I'm gonna take care of this.

No other man is gonna pray for my home.

Oh. I'm like. I'm like, this is what I'm saying. I'm gonna take care of it. And I was like, what are you gonna do? And I was like, I'm gonna handle it. And I was like, what do you mean you're gonna handle it? I was like, I'm gonna take care of it, like. And I'm like. In my head, I'm like, jesus, you're gonna have to show up.

So he's there, dude. John's there, right? So. And then has like, what. What are you going to. What are you. What are you going to do? And I was like, nothing. So she's pulling into the garage, and I'm just sitting there, like, I got a phone call to make internally.

What are you thinking, bro? As you're driving in, knowing that you just heard that this morning, right? And you're trying to act like it's normal, and then your wife hits you up. That didn't. That same day, again saying, I think there's a homeless man in our house. What are you thinking you're gonna do?

Well, I knew it wasn't a homeless dude. I was like, there ain't no homeless people in Wilson to be freezing, dude. Die there, dude. Yeah, but I'm saying they're not. There's no. Yeah, whatever. There's no homeless people there. And. So. Well, I was like, my. My thought process was not to go, like, in the house and just, like, go kick indoors and find out who's in my house. My thought process is to call Larry that has, like, needs to come to prayer group. Yeah, that was. I was like, I'll make a call. She's like, who are you gonna call? And I was like. I was like, I'm not the Ghostbusters. I'm gonna call Larry real quick so I can tell him I love him and tell him to come to prayer group. That was my thoughts. And she's like, well, I'm not going in the house until you go in the house. I was like, oh, yeah, I suppose, probably. So I just go down to the basement, and I was like, open my Bible. And I was like, I Don't know. Like, the Holy Spirit will tell me what to read. I don't even remember what I read, but I was like. And then I was like, I'll just go to prayer, because I don't know what else to do. I don't know about all this stuff. Yeah, I'm not Eli. I'm not Marco. So I was like, I just went to prayer, and I'm like, hey, Lord, if there's anything in my house that needs to go, just let me know what it is. And, well, he goes, the God. Like, God just goes, hey, James, there's. There's an item in your. In your. On your dresser that you need to go get. So a year before this, I had some friends that were getting married. Two dudes that were getting married. And I was wanting to show him love. And, like, one of them used to be my employee. And I just want to always show them love and stuff like that. And I didn't go to their wedding, and. And I. The hand, like. And then he, like, a couple of weeks later, he cuts my hair. And he goes, here, dude. Like, I got you. Here's a gift you missed at your. From. From our wedding. And for some reason, I just grabbed. I grabbed it put in my pocket, and a year ago, I threw it in my dresser.

And so I get that image. And I was like, oh, I need to get that out of the house. So I went upstairs and I grabbed it, and I was, like, running out. I was like. And I throw it out. And I was like, oh, thanks, Jesus, like, for saving me for this and. Or whatever it was. And I don't know what that was. So the next night, Steve Black's coming over to my house for some dinner.

Yeah.

And he's coming over for dinner, and I tell him about this, about the story. He's like, we're gonna get the gang in here. We're gonna, like, pray. Pray for the house. And I was like, all right. But I threw it out. So it's on the streets in the rocks somewhere. I don't know what happened to it. So. So Monday night, Steve Black, Chelsea, Hunter, Halle. I'll come into my house, we're eating dinner, and I'm telling the story. He's like, like, Steve. Like, Steve Black's like, just like, you know, black cat with his hair all stuck up.

That's awesome.

Hannah said that the energy instantly calmed in Yalls house.

Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. Yeah. I guess I left that detail out. It was cool. But we were praying, you know, What? I mean, like, so must have been, dude. Like, there was no more tension.

Like our house felt protected that moment. Amen. Then. Then Monday came over. Steve's like. Like, he thinks that there's, like, he's gonna be attacked, like, every five seconds after I tell him the story. And he's like. He's like, I thought about it all night. I was awake all night, and I just feel like we just need to pray for you. Yeah, we go to prayer on Tuesday morning. So he, like, comes up to me at 4:30 in the morning. Because he gets there at like 3:30, two and a half hours before prayer group. And he's like, hey, man, I was just up all night just thinking about you. I was like, what? No, no, seriously, about that demon in the junior house. I was like, well, he's gone because I threw the item outside. I'm not saying it. I'm not saying it.

Steve comes up to us at the prayer group and he was like, hey, man, there's something in your brother's house. And I was like, yeah, James is kind of telling me about that. You know, it's like, man, like, we gotta. We gotta go handle this right now, you know? I was like, like, let's.

Let's just calm down, Steve. Like, let's do some praying.

And then, you know, like, when we know in prayer, we can do these, like, right after we're all heading over there, we're gonna slay that thing.

He's like a guy that's just gonna run out. He's like. He's like, I'm gonna get him amped. I'm gonna get my amps. I'm gonna get him amps. So he gets to me, he's like, john, you gotta be there. You gotta be there. I was like, man, I got a meeting. I got stuff going on. He's like, cancel it.

And I'm like, all right, I'll be there. And he's like, do I need you breakfast? I'll buy you breakfast.

So, like, we got. We're coming into some Halloween decoration stuff, and, you know, my wife, we. Our house had flooded, and, you know, like, our whole home was, like, just destroyed. So she's like, I'm gonna decorate for every. Every holiday that comes and, you know. Yeah, whatever, babe. You know, like, then I go to this thing, and I'm like, like, just super hype. Sensitive to everything, right? Like, I mean, even cuss words. And, like, I'm.

Oh, yeah.

I'm, like, trying not to cuss. I'm like, you know, I just quit smoking. I've got all these different things I. Going on in my life.

Like, I'm like, oh, you quit smoking, huh? You quit smoking?

Well, I can tell that story. But the. The biggest thing is, is, like, my whole life's changing right now. I'm a new creature.

And I'm like, man, so how am I going to, like, get my wife to, like, throw all this stuff away? And then we're over at James's house over this one little thing, and I've got, like, a thousand things.

But moving on with the story. So after this happens, right? So James. So James ends up in this situation. So we get that. That's all done. And I'm like, oh, wow. So it was a couple weeks later. I know it got a lot colder. So I think it's like, probably the end of October. Steve gets all the phone calls, right? Like, so Steve's always getting these phone calls, like, you know, we gotta go take care of this. We're gonna go pray for the healing. Whoever.

We gotta go get kicked out of Verizon.

So we get this phone call from the church that we gotta go pray over this dude's home. And sons of thunder, here we go. Hey, Isaac. So we got this, you know, we get this phone call from the church that or Steve does. Steve gets us, and he's like, you gotta come with me. We gotta go take care of this demon. So, I mean, we call it the Boys. And I, you know, I don't want to name off everybody there. I just talk to the guy for. Tell him. But. So, like, he's just kind of got this thing going on in his house. Like, you know, this. You know, he's. He's seeing things, and, you know, his cat's, like, flipping out, and, you know, they get the phone call, you know. Yeah, the same old phone calls we always get now, you know, but so the situation we go in, and, you know, this guy's, like, telling us about, like, you know, some of the issues that he's having. And. And we're like, oh, yeah. And then, like, I think he thought. We thought he was crazy, you know, because he's like, you know, but. You know what I mean? And he's trying to justify it.

Yeah.

And I just looked at him like, look, man, like, we believe you. And his whole demeanor, like, just changed. Like, he was just like, you guys do. No one ever believes me. You know, like, that's kind of like what I got. I was like, dude.

Which means it was going on for a long time, dude.

Everybody that we're going to talk about has dealt with it for a long time. There's, like, some guys that have been dealing with this since kid. Like, as a child.

And. Yeah, they're. They're in their 40s, man. Man.

Like, so 30 years of oppression, dude.

I don't know how long this individual was dealing with it, but, you know, like.

But long enough for him to be like, dude, finally someone believes me.

It just. You could just tell, right? And so it's like, all right, so we're all there and we start praying. And you know, it was. It was the second that we. We said, you know, I'm praying. Like, we all start the prayer.

We kind of prayed over the whole house and we. To put our hands on this guy. And once we laid our hands on him, we told him, we're like, hey, like, you know, like, just. Just sit here and receive. And like, if you feel obligated to pray, just go ahead. But I remember, like I said, nothing is allowed in this home but the Holy Spirit and any other spirit must leave. And the door literally opens up and slams shut.

And I mean, we all like kind of look up like, oh man. Like this is whole thing. And so like, I've been telling this story for like months now. Like, this is how it was, right?

Door slam shut. No, it was Marco. What happened was Marco was allergic to the cat inside.

So we all go down to the hospital, go check on moms.

He's like, well, how many more bags? He's like, well, this is all we got. And he goes, can you make more? And like, he's like, just throwing them up on the counter. He's like, buying all this canned food.

That's awesome.

And so Pete is like, super gracious like that. He's just like the nicest. He's like our nicest brother. Yeah, don't be telling anybody that. And this guy comes over. That's the nicest thing ever. But he was, like, scowling. I said before. He's like, I'm like, ask me about Jesus. You know what I mean?

Yeah.

And so he was like this, and then, like, he had some church hurt because walking up to us and he was like, kind of, like, angry with us at first. And I was like, hey, man, like, are you okay? And then he goes in, telling us about, like, how he just lost his mom like, a few years ago, but he's, like, alone on Christmas and he's just sad. And so I'm like, well, dude, like, what church are you going to, man? Like, what? Let's get you connected. Like, I'm honestly thinking, like, dude, this is like, probably a life or death situation here.

Yeah.

You know?

And so he let us pray over him. He wouldn't give me his number. I probably wouldn't either, but I get it anyway, so he's down there, we pray for him, and he just lights up, dude. He's like, man, we gotta hang out. I was like, well, give me your number. And he goes, yeah, I work from this time to this time. My phone doesn't work right now, like, all this stuff. So we stopped in there a couple more times while we were there. But, yeah, just totally showing them love, man. Weird, because we're just hyped, man. You gotta. You gotta show up for people like that to show them how hyped you are.

Dude.

He'd been alone for two years.

Yeah.

His mom died, and then he has just still for two years. He's never been able to get any kind of community.

Wow.

That's like. I'm like, how many other people are out there? I need some type of community that needed. Yeah, it's just. So that's. That's been a big thing with the ministry, man.

Like, but Jesus is so right in your hand, dude. Like, he's so right next to you. You don't have to do this stuff alone, man. Yeah, he's right there. Walking through all the pain.

Absolutely.

All the garbage. All the hospital stays, dude, like, I'm telling you what, dude, like, he is always there. You just gotta like, hey, like, it's a free gift. You gotta receive it.

Yeah, it's good, bro. That's the. That's the part is where people just struggle. Receiving. It's like the hardest thing. Like, I was talking to one of the guys yesterday, and that's what he was sharing. At the end of the day, the reason he was agnostic and he was saying how at the end of the day, the reason why he was so far from God, it was like, the real main reason is I just didn't know how to receive love. That's it. That's.

That's it.

I mean, bro, think about how many men that. That's it. They just. We'd struggle receiving love. It's like, hey, man, thank you for being the way that you are. No, don't say that. Don't say that.

All right, hospital. And then I want you to tell the story of the. The one that's just going to freak everyone out, where you walk into the floor and it's just. Yes,

So we got, you know, so we're planning this. My sister's there. She's got her kid, our. Our niece, Genevieve, and she's getting ready to. You know, she's got her birthday coming up, and so we're gonna do a big party because we're all there. And so we got this big house, this airbnb that we all kind of just threw in on to, you know, celebrate Christmas.

Yeah.

Me and James were kind of like. We're kind of, like, at each other's throats, you know, like. And he was just like, well, just go pick him up. And I was like, all right. You know, and it's like, this is Grand Bob. Now, he lives down in Sturgis. We're up in.

I wanted to get in the hot tub.

Where were we at? What was it?

I'm serious. I just want to get in the hot tub. I want to get in the hot tub. And he's like, yeah, go pick up his pizza. Go get Grandpa.

And I was like, next podcast we do together, we should do it in the hot tub.

We should, dude.

Yeah. Yeah.

But I'm saying right now, like, I just want to get in the hot tub.

So we end up we. So James is telling me. He's like. He just throws me his keys. He was like, hey, just like, head down. Go pick up grandpa. And I was like, oh, yeah, you're gonna Just leave it to me. Fine.

Sounds good.

So I leave. I head down, I go down.

Oh, he was so mad. I should have went with him.

So I get there and my grandpa, he was like, he's like standing out there. He's got his coat on, you know, he's got his hat, and he's just waiting. And so I pull up and I was like, get in, Grandpa. You know, I help him out.

Yeah.

And let me just like, tell you, like, how my grandpa talks. Like, he's just. He's like very monotone and he's very like, precise on how he talks. He's like.

He's an English teacher.

Hey, John.

He lets you feel every punctuation. Yeah.

And then I was like, huh? I really need to talk to you. Like, I mean, this is like. He gets into the truck, the first thing he says, first thing he's like, I really need to talk to you. And then like. So this is usually how he talks. Very monotone. He's very slow and like, you know, but he's just gonna let you understand exactly what he's saying. He's very. He's very precise. He's a very smart guy. Anyways, when he jumps in and then he was like, he kind of was really excited. Way more excited than he usually is. Like, my grandpa with him being like just like the chillest dude ever and just the Vietnam vet and everything, you know, like. And not only that, I don't think he should be scared of anything. Like, I mean, he's like, actually went against monsters, you know? Yeah.

Yeah.

And so he's. We're in this. We're in this drive, you know, it's like a 30 minute drive or whatever up the mountain. And we're just going back to this, you know, this hot tub, big area, Airbnb thing that we got. I'm just excited to get back. And grandpa starts talking. He was like, yeah, so, John, I need to talk to you. And I was like, yeah, yeah, what's going on, Grandpa? And he was like, well, listen, I. I've got something going on in my apartment and I don't really want to talk about it. And I was like, well, for me to help you, I. I need to

know what it is.

And he's, well, I got something in my house. And I was like, okay. And he's like, it's picking me up. And I said, what do you mean it's picking you up? And he says, yeah, I'm laying in bed and he'll grab my ankles and he'll pick it up. It'll pick me up. And I'm like. I was like, man, that sounds sucky, dude.

I'm a sucker.

You, man?

Yeah.

I was like, dude, that. I was really sorry to hear that, grandpa. And so as this is going on, like we're driving and then he just kind of gets more detail. He's like, you know, this thing's like, it's getting in bed with me and it's squeezing me and like, you know, I'll rip my covers off and then, you know, things fly off the shelf and. And just all this random stuff going on in his room. Yeah. And he's like, you know, so I went to the. So I was like, what have you done about it? You know, Because I'm like, well, what have you done about this? Like, you know, what have you done? And he's, he's just like, man, I went to the va, they thought they, they're going to put me on psycho, you know, psychotics, you know, they're thinking I'm, I'm crazy. And I was like, okay, so, you know, somebody's already thinking it's crazy. I was like, well, have you not been down to the Seventh Day Adventist Church? Like, what is the pastor's doing for you? He goes, oh, John, my, my. My church members, my church family is not going to do anything. They prayed for me at the church. And, and I was like, what? And we're going. And like, he's just kind of like making me sad. I'm like, dude, like, what is going on? And I'm like. And he goes, we gotta go take care of this thing. And so I'm just like, I start, you know, I say a little prayer and I'm like, man, like, God, what do you want me to do in this situation? What am I supposed to do? I mean, clearly this is a demon. This is clearly something that is plaguing that's inside my, My grandfather's home, you know.

Yeah.

And I mean, like, he's looking for new apartments. Not because of that. I mean, there were some other reasons, but like, that was one of the big reasons is like, he really, he didn't want to move because there was people that he loved. But he was conflicted, right? Like, I mean, this whole thing's been tormenting him. And you know, so we get up the mountain and like the whole day goes on and grandpa, you know, like, he's just like, you know, well, he's getting rest.

He's just laying on the couch, like, just being free. There like, you know, he doesn't get out a lot. That's the other thing I think, too, is, like, I wasn't even listening to him. Like, he was trying to tell me all day about, like, this demon. Like, and he talks super slow, so I'm just like, I'm fast paced person. Yeah, but, dude, it's like we need to be still. You know, like psalms, like Psalms 46, 10. Yeah, thank you, Luke. I'm just saying, like, we got to be still and listen too. Like, the Lord listen to people. Yes. God listens to us, dude, that we need to listen to people. Because, like, dude, they're telling us stuff. You got to be. You got to hear what they're saying.

Yeah. Yeah, that's really good, James.

No, it's. You're completely right because I was really dismissive and I was like, man. And then literally I. I go in and I started telling all the bros, like, dude, like, this is what's going on. And, like, no one's listening. Like, so right back to what you're saying. It's like, no one's listening.

Yeah, I was like, john, you're gonna go fight demons by yourself? I don't care, dude. Yeah, like, I'll stay for the healings. We just killed Mom. This is weird. Jesus healed Mom.

This is weird moment. And, like, me and grandpa are like, kind of like having this moment like this all day, like, talking about, like, what we're going to do. Yeah. It's like every couple hours he'll just kind of remind me that we're going to go get in this fight. And like, dude, every time my stomach just kind of drops. Wow. And I'm just like, man, I got to go deal with this.

Like, you're on the school ground, like, going to get beat up again. Five o' clock's coming, dude. Tommy, I got to go to the bathroom.

And, you know, it was. It was that moment. I was like, man, okay, well, we gotta go. I gotta go take care of this. So, like, I'm trying to rally up the truth. Like, dude, like, hey, James. Hey. Hey, Brandon, Peanut. Like, guys, like. And they're like, they're there, but they're not really, like, receiving what I'm putting down. And so I'm like, well, all right. And then grandpa, like, he just kind of puts on his, like, little hat, and it's like his gloves and his jacket, and he's standing there, he's like, all right, John, it's ready to go. It's time. And I was like, what? Just.

Just Me and you.

Yeah. So I'm like, does anyone want come? Like, please.

No, no. I'm going to get in the hot tub. Yeah.

So straight up, like, I'm like, what am I going to do here?

Like, he's by himself. Yeah.

I mean, he is completely by himself. So G. Bob, just like, he was like, let's go. And I was like, anybody want to come? And my mom was like, I'll come. And I was like, we'll take it,

dude. Yeah. I was like, mom, get in the car. I would. The Lord is using you right now. I'm gonna sleep some demons. Yeah. And so whatever, honey. My mom gets in the back seat, you know, Grandpa's up front, and we

start driving down the mountain, dude. And like, he's just talking and he's like, you know, we're gonna get in there. And we're, you know. And I was like, yeah, we're. And so, like, I'm. I'm, like, scared, but, like, I started, like. Because I. I gotta amp him up. Like, I gotta start amping him up.

You're doing what David said when he was like, why so downcast? Oh, my soul. You're encouraged.

Yeah.

So.

Yeah, because I was like, no, this is fine. I got this. I'm like, I'm gonna go in there, I'm gonna slay this deal. I'm like, I'm by myself, dude. I was like, this thing will no longer get it. It's no longer gonna be in my grandma's house.

What song were you listening to on the way down?

Nothing. I was listening to Grandpa. He was just like, yeah, monotone. But he was like. He was, like, trying to, like, talk me out of it kind of thing. Like, it was weird, right? And I was like, grandpa, I was like, we're gonna go take her. He's. Oh, I. I know you and James could just take care of this. And you guys. That's what you guys do. And, you know. And like, you know, at this point,

I didn't though, like, I'll pray for healing on you, dude. But like, even that's like John's realm because he's, like, praying stupid prayers over here.

So, dude, like, you know, like, I remember what we just did with all, you know, like, pastor and all the guys. The prayer group at that one guy's house. And then, like, I remember what we did at James's house. I was like, man, I'm just going to kind of do the same thing. Yeah. Like, I don't know, maybe we'll work

Grandpa, where's the crystal, Dick?

It was like, this big year. It's not about the size.

Just saying I don't want. You guys think I'm weird or something.

Yo. So as we're rolling down the hill, like, I start. I'm. I'm going to hype him up. And then my mom just kind of pops up and she was like, what's going on? She has no idea, man. She's, like, sitting there playing this Tetris game or whatever on her phone. And I'm like, mom, if you get off your phone and just listen for two seconds, we're going to go in there. We got to take care of a demon. Like, it has been plugging grandpa.

That's nice, honey.

Yeah. She's like, oh, okay. Well, have fun. And I was like, seriously, I got no one here. And then I was like, man, wait a minute.

You got my. Dude. Oh, no.

I was like, man, wait a minute. I do. I got all. I got everything I need.

Amen.

I carry the light. Jesus Christ with me.

Yeah.

Like, literally, dude, I have. I have the full strength of him. And, dude, I'm like. I'm like, now I'm getting amped, right? And dude, like, I'm ready. Like, dude, I get the holy bones. And we go in. And then, like, grandpa, he's just like. He kind of starts backing away. And he's like, really not wanting to deal with this thing. And I'm like, oh, no, we're dealing with it. Bed. And we're dealing with it right now. There is no yeah, ifs.

And don't turn your back.

It is now, right? And he was like, okay. So then we walk inside and we're in this kitchen, like, in this, like, kitchen, cafeteria area. I'm like, what are we doing, dude? And he was like, oh, just. Just pray for me here. I was like, no, dude, we gotta go into the apartment now. Like, there's no ifs or bands or buts of this. Like, we are going up there right now. We're taking care of this now.

Longer to be here. Yeah.

I was like, do you not know who Jesus Christ is? No, no, I. I do. He's like, okay, okay, John. Okay. Hey, you asked for it, right?

And I'm like, oh, like, well, really, I didn't ask for it. I asked to never be in this situation.

So, like, we get into this apartment, like, we go into this elevator, and I'm just sitting there. I was like. And I'm piping him up. Like, we got this, you know, this, that, and the other. And I'm like pulling up different scriptures and I'm just reading them, you know. And then we get up and the door opens and I kind of hear this faint screaming, you know, And I'm like, what is that? And I'm like, it sounds like kids, like, playing in an auditorium, you know, or like a gym.

Okay.

And I just, like, start walking closer. I was like, where's your apartment at? I haven't been there for like a couple years, you know, like. Yeah, you just pick them up and leave, you know?

Yeah.

And we just. So he's walking down and, like. And we just kind of get closer and closer and it just gets louder and louder and louder. Like, like, dude, this. This person is like, just at total war. Like, it sounds like they're in a war zone. And I'm like, what is that? And my grandpa, you know, he's like, hey, look, look, just come on in. Like, well, I'll tell you about it in the apartment. I don't want to talk about it. You know, like, he lives in a. A apartment for veterans. So, like, that person from, like, he said, like, at 6, you know, 5, 6, 7 o' clock at night, he just starts and. Or she. Or whatever it is. I don't know.

Yeah.

He says he's only seen him a couple times. He, you know, he didn't get into much detail. Right.

And.

But they were just at war for hours. Right.

And.

And then like, finally I think, like, you know, whatever the doctors give him was like, you know, kind of deals with it, and then they kind of go to sleep, you know, and so, like. But for that time period, he's just at. He's at war.

Yeah.

And so, like, midnight comes and, you know, like, then he finally stops or whatever. But, you know, he's never. So I was like, well, how long does this go anyway? So I'm like, hey, Grandpa, I don't even have a Bible, you know, like, I just. We just walk in this house. Like, I'm. I'm not even at unease. Like, I'm more concerned about, you know, like, what. What do you want me to do? Like, what do you want me to take care of? Like, so I just, like, I just started calling the Holy Spirit and, you know, I did a little praise and worship. You know, I just put the hands of Bronson worship music. And I'm just like, waiting for grandpa to grab a Bible. He comes out and we read Psalms 91. Man. And amen. We just, we go through and I like, we, I go through. I read the entire chapter and you know, like I'm sitting there and I was like, grandpa, like, this thing is no longer here. I was like, it was, it wasn't here as soon as we walked in the door. And then we went into prayer and him and I just started praying, like I prayed with him and you know, like, dude, we just cleanse that place with the spirit. Like the Holy Spirit came in and dude, like everything was coming out of my mouth was total spirit. Like I just, I had nothing to do with it.

Right?

And like him and I just like, just loved on each other. And like, he was just like, man, I could tell that he was at peace, right? Like, yeah, see that? Whatever's there, it was gone. And I was like, man, that's awesome. Like, and it's so dark in his apartment. Like they didn't have much lighting in there. It's really weird, right? I was like, you can go sleep in your bedroom. That thing is no longer.

Yeah. Cuz he like barricaded his room. Yeah, he wouldn't go in his room.

Bible was in there. Like he was actually freaked out to go in to grab it before we, you know, read one. Like he was, he was freaking out. Like he was done.

Dang.

Yeah, he wouldn't even really go in the room. I. I don't really know. Like, I know that he hadn't slept in his room for two years for how long? This has been plugging him, so.

Wow.

Yeah. Like, I was like, man, you've been dealing with this for, for this long.

Like, well, I mean, bro was picking him up.

Yeah, dude, it was picking him up. Yeah.

Like, you know, and he couldn't get

rid of it, you know, and, but like before this. So before too, a couple of months before this, he came visit, visited us. Well, I can't visit us in September, like after Launchpad. So I spent like all night with him.

Yeah.

Like praying with him, trying to figure out what he can unforgive. And he had eight stories. So like he's a long, drawn out process. We get to the seventh story, he forgot the eighth story. Dude, like. And I'm like, you better find it because I waited up. It's four in the morning now. We're gonna get this, we're gonna get this unforgiveness.

He didn't forget it because he didn't want to.

He's not like, yeah, he didn't want him out, but yeah, he won't you

won't think of it like, dig. Like, I mean, so this is faith

building on his part.

Yeah.

For the last. Yeah. For the few months before the season. Faith building. He's just seeing. He's seeing a difference on how the Lord changed James and I. Right. Like, yeah. And then also Peanut and Brandon and like, just like our whole family getting, like, remended back together.

Yeah.

And which is a whole another situation of this. But grandpa, you know, like, so we're in this room and like, at that moment, like, I finally look at him and he looks like he has peace.

Yeah.

Like, for the whole day. And I don't get to see it. Like, I see him often, but I don't see him that often enough. But, like, there was a visibly different change when I got up and, like, started walking.

Yeah. The next day he looked like he had wrecked.

And I. And honestly, I didn't feel weird about leaving him there. Like, when I first walked, I was like, there's no way I'm leaving him here. Like, there's just no way. And then, like, going through the apartment and then, you know, like, leaving. I was like, oh, he's totally good. He's totally covered.

He's covered.

But it wasn't like, so you. But I remember I was praying. When I. Specifically when I was praying, I remember like, saying, like, the spirit just like, said something. I was like, well, it will protect this entire foundation, whatever's in this building. I remember saying that. I was like, wow. Like, okay, so something outside of this room is how this is getting in. Right. And so we walk outside and I open up the door with grandpa. We, like, he's gonna walk me down. And there's no screaming.

Yeah.

You know, it's like seven o' clock at night.

You know, eight o'.

Clock.

Seven or eight. Yeah. And there's no screaming. And he goes, you know, I think you killed her.

Or whatever.

You're like, I don't really know what it was. I don't know if it was a

girl or a guy. Like, did you pray her to death, Job?

So, like, this someone, like, he's like, go, go, go pray over her door. And I'm like, you go pray over her door. Like, dude, I just do like, that other stuff.

Yeah. I'm out of here.

I was a grandpa. Come on, let's go deal with it. Like, you want to go pray over her doors like we did. And you know, I was like, I don't think we need to.

John. You should have knocked, went in there.

The spirit Was not telling me, johnny,

you're gonna get stabbed.

No, but that. So that takes place. And the grandpa was just like, you know, he's like, man, like. And so we started walking down. There's just no screaming. We walk down. I. Grandpa, like, you know, he. He goes to his apartment, and then I get back in the car. I shut the door, and mom was like, oh, how was that? And I was like, yeah, mom, it was good, you know.

How long were you in there for?

I don't know, like, 30, 40 minutes.

And mom's just chilling in the car. Little Katie Crush, she straight up was.

Yeah, she was playing her game. She was still playing when I got in. And I was like, mom, like. Like, mom, do you realize what just happened in there? Like, I remember, like, saying this. I was like, mom, do you not know what just happened in there? And she's like, no, I don't. I was out here playing my game. You know, listen, we, like, grandpa and I just went like, you know, we took care of a demon, you know. Hey, man.

Yeah.

And she was like, really? And I was like, yeah, the spirit was on us, Mom. I was like, the Holy Spirit just, like, came and took care of the whole place. And I started telling her the whole story. She's like, like, why didn't you come give me.

I was like, I gave everyone.

I was pleading for backup, man.

I drove you all the way down there, Mom. Nobody showed up with you.

And, dude, at that point, I was like, dude, I don't have to be scared at all.

Come on.

Fear.

Come on.

Yeah.

I was like, dude, from this point forward.

Forward. Yeah. You get in the thick of it, dude's weird. Like.

Like, we're. We're not gonna be afraid.

No. Yeah. No more.

I mean, usually it's really awesome when Eli blacks around, like, because, like, he just kind of handles it because he's like, super.

Yes.

Like, dude, he is like Superman, dude.

Him and Malachi, dude, they're just, like, straight knowledge, dude. Just like, scripture, Scripture, Scripture, Scripture. And he's like, prayer scripture.

Like, the. The Pierce. Like, the. The guy in the background, you know, like the Tom Bachmeyer, you know, he just kind of like.

Oh, yeah. He's just, like, throwing in some, like. Just straight words, like.

And he's like, well, no, he's like. He's. He's like, doubt. Yeah.

Like, he's just throwing these little words in there, and then he starts, like, pry. And then Eli start crying at it. You're like, so.

Yeah. Anyway, the whole point, I was getting At. It's just so much easier to deal with. Deal with it when you got those type of guys with you, you know, like, they kind of handle a lot of it. Like I just gotta show up, you know, like, they just gotta do most of it.

It.

And then, like, you know, I mean, and then like, you just kind of get to see some really cool miracles. But I mean, in. In that sense of it, all those guys are just like, they're so. It does suck when you got to go by yourself, but it is warranted and it is.

It's.

It can be. It can be rewarding as well.

Dude. The coolest thing.

Absolutely.

The coolest thing about all that, though, like all your. All the. Those moments and stuff like that. We're never doing it in our own strength. We're doing it all in Jesus strength.

Absolutely.

We're not strong enough. We have to have Jesus. Yeah.

It's all Holy Ghost, man. It's all Holy Ghost.

And so, like you.

We end up in the truck.

So we. A couple weeks later, a week later, grandpa text me. I say, hey, like, you know, he every. So he's seven day Venice. So he always sends us a Sabbath text, you know, like, hey, like, Happy Sabbath or whatever. And, you know, cool on him. And I was like. And then he says, p. S By the way, I haven't heard any screaming since you left. Hey, man.

Wow.

Awesome, dude.

Yeah.

So like, did he.

He checked on her, though? Yeah, they had.

Like.

He did.

The person's alive.

That person is alive. Like, hey, man. He's seen her or him or whatever it is. I don't really know. I. I don't know.

He always. He changes it too. So, like, I get your confusion because he always says something different. Yeah. And I think, I mean, he's never really met her either. Or him either. Maybe there's two people living in there. Maybe they're both screaming. Yeah.

Like, I don't know what happened, you know, and like, it's, you know, I don't know. PTSD is like a serious thing, you know? And I think that, like, a lot of people don't deal with that trauma or don't know how to or. Yeah, right. So like. Yeah, they're just at war, like.

Yeah. So. But yeah, it took one prayer, huh? It took one prayer for that person.

It did.

Yeah.

Only one.

Well, that's the strength of Jesus, dude. It's like.

Yeah.

Yeah.

When you carry the light into the darkness. And that's the cool thing. Like, I think it was. Yeah, I think it was Eli, he just said, it's like, it's such an honor to be able to take the light into the darkness.

Yes.

And go deal with. Go deal with this. Like, it's. It's a tough. Like, it's a burden. It's a burden to deal with, like healings or deliverances. Yeah. So it is a true burden. The great thing is that we get to reward. The reward that we get is that we possibly can get somebody into heaven with us. Yes. You know?

Yes.

And so that's, like, one thing is, like, yeah, it's fun to come on our podcast and talk about this stuff, but the. The. The reality of it is it is a true burden. And it's actually sad because, like, we have to. And, you know, all. All that evil stuff comes from Satan, right?

Absolutely.

He's trying to get at us, and you can just see how he plugs people. People. And so the. The amazing thing is, is that we get to bear that burden, but we get to also fill up heaven. We get to bring them with. Right.

We get to introduce them to things that a lot of times that they might not. Not have ever heard before. Like, in that moment, like, if they get delivered from something, you know, the Lord steps in and they have somewhere to turn towards, you know, it's good.

Yeah. What would you guys say? Because I feel like a lot of people. There was a movie. I'll say this, there's a movie called nefarious on YouTube, and it's probably one of the most accurate demonic movies I've ever seen. And in this movie, the dude who's demon possessed is sitting there getting interrogated or interviewed in prison because he's an inmate that they're about to either execute or send him out to, like, a psych ward. And so he's sitting there, and there's a scene where you've got the priest that walks in, and you can see the. The dude that's possessed, like, kind of freak out. And he's like, what do you want from me? Like, what do you want? Right. And then the priest is talking to the interviewer, and he's like, I know. He's just. He's just got, you know, psychosis or whatever.

You know, I'm going to touch on this real quick.

Yeah. And so. So he's like, he's just got psychosis. Like, they've done a lot of studies on it, like, whatever. Right. And then he's like, oh, it's like, you don't think I. You don't think I Have a demon. And he's like, I know for a fact you don't have a demon. I know that what you have going on is mental. And he's like, oh, okay. And he sits back down and he's like, he's like, I don't have to worry about you now. Yeah, I. I do not have to worry about you. Because you don't think I'm real. You think that I'm mental, which means you'll never cast me out. So I can stay here. Hit on that.

He does, he does something in that. Like he does something in that movie. And, and here's the thing. So like the counter this. So he does something. He moves his hand really quick to shake his hand in that movie. And the, the pastors jumps like he jumps back. Right. So. So that's our enemy, like tries to fight us. Right. Or like that's what he used against us to use fear.

Yeah.

How do you cancel out fear? Faith, it's all done by love.

Right.

So that's. Once you cancel that out.

So yeah. Deliverance. I mean on people, they. I mean there is a furious. There's. There's two things that actually truly happen. Like you can see that there is something in there because it'll come out and talk and then.

Yeah.

You know, like you gotta shut it down. And then you see there's violent, there's like actual action that takes place in someone's body.

Some level of a release.

Yeah, yeah. But in, in the sense that what you're talking about, like. Oh, when they know that they'll like do anything, they start crying. Like, why are you crying right now? You're crying because it's not you. It's demon knows that it can get casted out. Right now.

Yeah.

You are.

Yeah.

Walking with the light of Jesus. And when you walk into the room, it knows its place. It knows where it has to go.

Yep.

And it's going to go to that waterless place it says in Luke.

Right?

Yeah.

And Mark and Matthew, I think.

Yeah.

But it has to go to that waterless place. It's gonna, it's gonna take place and it's, it's gonna leave and it's going to be very uncomfortable.

And it knows it and so it doesn't want to go there. Cuz it took a long time to

get where it's at.

Yeah.

You know, and so like it knows where it's going to be. And like Eli says, it's going to be in second. It's, you know, it's second. Place. And that's another thing, too, is, like, not to taunt them, because it is very real when you.

You taunt them. Like, he gets some type of, like, gives him, like, another boost, like, an energy. Like, he gives him something to, like, go off of.

Yeah.

You got to. You got to shut it down right away.

Yeah.

Well, it's like you're playing games. Jesus did not play games. Jesus, didn't he. He spoke directly to the spirits. And every time that he was speaking to a spirit, he was commanding it, telling it what to do. And there's always exclamation points.

Yeah.

Which means he wasn't like, oh, in Jesus name, like, please come out.

He.

He's like, telling it, get out. You know what I mean? And do not come back to him.

Right.

Like, it's not a joke. It's not a joke. And I think a lot of people like me think about demons and stuff like that. Like, oh, it's a joke. It's fun. Like, even with prison ministry, you hear it often. Like, oh, man, that sounds fun. That's not. Prison ministry is not fun. It's not fun. I'm like. Because it's a spiritual war. You know what I mean? Like, everything is spiritual. I want to hear the story that you were going to tell me about, like, two weeks ago. You're like, bro, I got an insane demon story to tell you. And I was like, wait for the podcast.

Which. Which one? We've got two of them.

Well, I mean, like, one happening, another one. Neither one of those. I. I probably shouldn't touch base on. They're pretty fresh, and there's a lot of healing going on right now.

Yeah.

And amen and all of that. Good, though. Like, they're getting plugged in right now, and I think their story is theirs. And, like, you know, that. That was like, they're really cool. Like, don't get me wrong. It's like, man, like, thank you, Lord, for that.

Yeah. But just being a fly on the wall for those were like, yeah. So I'm, like, sitting there, like, with my Bible, like, what the heck is going on?

Like, for a faith builder, like, if I was gonna go up and, like, you know, hey, Bryson, like, is the situation. This is what I saw. I would. I would have no problem with that. But I mean, for them, I think that it's their story and it's their. It's. Yeah, it's totally their testimony.

Yeah.

And they're going to get so much freedom. They know who they are. And if they ever watch this podcast, I want them to know like, they know who I'm talking about. And like, because we, we went to war with those guys and they're tough. They're, they are now men of God and they're, they're changing and like just seeing like just the change in like him and his wife and his child and, and like dude, I just honor that guy cuz he went to, he, he went to battle, he went to fight. He, he fought with us, you know, and it, it came out and then he was baptized and you know, he accepted the Lord and.

Come on.

And his wife did too.

And his wife did too. His wife is going to get baptized at a later day when it's warmer water. Cuz we, we had cold water and yeah. And you know, they are, they are changed forever. The Lord has removed, removed all that.

Yeah.

Out of their lives. And, and dude, they're changed. He's a new creature.

Creature.

But yeah, I was going to tell you about those stories and I was really excited to talk about it. But yeah, like I wanted to make sure that I. Yeah, that makes sense. You know, I hadn't talked to him, but I did, I did talk to another friend of mine, our buddy, our buddy Tim Frick. He Frick is his last.

Before we move on to that story, I want to read a little bit in Ephesians for this, for that part because like we're talking about demons or like we haven't said a lot of scripture, but I think it's real important that we do like bring scripture into this. So just like, so Ephesians 6, 11 and 12, I've done a lot of studying on these and this is like just, just some follow up from all these things that I've been seeing because I got really confused afterwards and I'm like, this can't be true. Like I was wrestling with this in my head because like what I was seeing there's like, this can't be real. And then one of the guys that was in the room was like, I don't know if it was a demon, but you know, my faith is built from that. And it was a guy I respected and I was like, I don't know what to believe. And I'm like. So I started looking into this just scripturally. So let's just Ephesians 6, 11 and 12, just those two, put the full armor of God on. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood. So that's, that's 11. So Paul is shifting the believer's perspective here. Yeah, and merely just a physical view of life to a spiritual one.

Amen.

Yeah. And so when we, when we think about that, we, like, you know, it's not. We don't physically put on armor every day. Like, we're not physically putting it on, but we have to put the armor of God on.

Right.

And so, like, it's to live that life fully. Right. And so, and then, and then Ephesians 2 or 12. For the struggle is not against the flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the, against the authorities, against the powers of the world's darkness, and against the spiritual forces of evil in heaven realms. Why was he. Why would he be saying this, like, if this isn't there? So, you know, we have two. There's categories in our life now. So we have, we have, you know, the earthly believers, and then it becomes a worldview. Yeah, right. And we live in worldly view. And we call those guys usually atheists. Right? They just. Atheists rolling around like, hey, if I can't see it, I can't touch it. I don't believe it.

Yeah, that's true.

Right? And. And I think Satan's like, hey, man, you guys are just perfectly fine operating that way.

Yeah.

Because then you don't know who, who you're dealing with.

Yeah.

And that's fine. And that's why I said the faith, the faith over fear. Right. Like, yeah. And then you replace it with just what, abundance of love, man, I love you, man. Like, and people get freaked out about that. Now I go to a guy and I'm like, hey, man, I love you, man. I want to punch you in the face. Well, why? You know, because that, there's spiritual. So then we take it to the other thing and then it's like we go to church, like, for me, for me. And I'm going to speak just about my testimony because nobody can argue with this. But I'm sitting here going, yeah, I believe that there was a heaven. Someday. Yeah, I believe that there was a spiritual world. Maybe someday, you know, I can still sit here by. Thanks, God, like, forgive me, whatever, be this lukewarm guy. But again, there's a whole nother thing. There's like, there is a spiritual. There's demons, there's angels, there's. There's a heavenly spiritual world. And the Holy Spirit is living currently at war right now. Like, literally watching this. And here's the other thing too. Like, think of it like that. Think of it. It's so real, dude. You can. Once you open your eyes, once you open your Eyes. Because here's the thing. It's like, I'm never blessed. You're alive, dude.

You have lung lungs, dude. And I see you like, dude, I'm like, looking at myself. I'm like, looks in here. I'm like, oh, you never. Blessings, dude. And then I started, like, slow my life down to realize there's so many gifts that I'm given. I got a house, I've got my wife. I got like, my wife's amazing, man. Like, and I have three dogs. And I only really want two, but I have three. But I have to be thankful for them.

That's abundance right there.

But I'm saying this like, so. So I'm sitting here, I'm like, what do you mean you're not blessed, dude? Like, so people would just forget about all the millions of. Of blessings that they're candid every single day. Yeah, because it wasn't handed to them like the way they thought it was. Because there's a spiritual war. War going on that we're ignoring as Christians.

Yes.

We're ignoring the spiritual world.

Forget the world, bro. Christians.

Yeah.

It's not the world's job to recognize that we're in a supernatural realm for sure. It's the Christians to operate in it. Yes, consistently.

And. And so I want to just touch on this last point. So we g. Engage in spiritual warfare because of temptation that still exists, deception that still exists, sin that still pulls in at the. Pulls at the flesh. And then the world system that opposes God's truth. Yeah, dude, we gotta, like, we gotta arm up, dude. Read your Bible. Come on. Yeah, it's like, it's sickening to think about this. Like, one guy asked me today, he just finished up the launchpad. He's getting free from all this crap and he goes, I don't know what to do. Yeah, you do, man. Yeah, just pray everything else. Like, I don't know what to do about my marriage. Don't worry about it.

Just pray about it.

Go to Jesus, dude. Like, he wants you there. Praise him. Stop listening to the crowd, dude, because here's the thing. They're going to use. The enemy is going to use these crazy little things to sit here and be like the music you listen to.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

The. The.

It's all Seeds, dude.

Yeah,

it's all seeds.

Yes, exactly.

Even how you act when you're in the driver's seat heading to work.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's why, that's why the Bible says to take every thought captive and make it submissive to Christ. Christ operated in the heavenly realm. On earth. Like on earth as it is in heaven. On earth as it is in heaven. Right, like that's the prayer that we pray.

Yeah.

God, on earth as it is in heaven. Well, guess what? In heaven, it's all supernatural. Which means we should walk this life all supernatural. Instead of like, oh man, I'm sorry you're struggling with anxiety. You should really go see a therapist. Let me pray for you right now. And I'm going to encourage you to start using your mouth to go against anxiety.

Amen.

You know what I'm saying? And let's just start there, see what happens. And you'll notice that people will actually start breaking off of anxiety. Like in my divorce recovery coaching business that I used to have, bro, the amount of people that got up off of anxiety and depression medication and stopped smoking weed was insane. And I never told them to.

So true.

But it was because I wasn't coaching. I was praying. I was praying, I was praying. And that's when all that stuff started to happen. People would be like, dude, I literally just got off my depression meds. I felt like I didn't need them. I feel amazing. I feel great. I've never been better. I've been off of it now for X amount of time. And it was all because I was like, God, I'm gonna hit these people with the super supernatural. Like, people were going from suicidal to absolutely joy filled and seeing a hope for a future in less than 14 days.

Amen.

And like I had therapists messaging me on my coaching page saying, what's your strategy? Like, how do you, how do you do it? You know what I mean?

And I'm just looking, I'm like, Jesus, yeah.

I'm like, dude, it's the Holy Ghost. There's not going to be a 1, 2, 3 flow that you're going to be able to follow if you don't carry power.

Right?

And you can't carry power until you actually believe what was my past. They're all talking about it today. Those who believe these signs. And these signs will follow those that believe, not those that read their Bible, not even those that pray. Because there's a lot of people that pray but don't believe. There's a lot of people that read The Word, but don't believe the Word. Signs follow those that believe. Which is why you guys are such a big dope testimony, man. Such a dope testimony. Because weren't educated with the Word, don't have a degree in the Word, didn't go through an intense discipleship program for two years on the spiritual gifts or the authority that you carry. But what happened? You just heard someone share a scripture, and you're like, I believe that. And then you heard somebody else share another scripture, and you're like, I believe that. And then you read something in your Bible, and you're like, that's true. That's true. Which is what creates authority and power, man. And that's what. That's how we need to walk. That's why I really wanted to do this because, like, sure. Like, is it going to catch people's attention? Because it's like demon stories and this and that. Obviously. That's cool. Let's grab their attention, then. Let's tell them, hey, by the way, you need to start walking in this on a daily, bro. On a daily. On a daily, bro. Lust was, like, taking me out even last year when I was compromising, bro. And Joyful told me. He was like, bro, you need to go in your house and you need to pray and cast anything that's in your house out. And I was like. Because, bro, I got so used to, like, also being practical, and I was like, well, no, I don't need to pray about that. I just need to stop doing it. But then I was, like, getting really tempted out of random times, bro. And I'm like, you know what? I'm just gonna freaking pray. And so I just started walking around my house. I start casting things out, anything that I might have let in. And, bro, I felt this. I remember feeling it in my kitchen. I felt this, like. And it's like my body expanded and my pores went from being tiny to being, like, that big. And I could feel oxygen and air flow through my body, bro. It was from that moment, moving forward, I've just been, like, a completely different person, bro.

Amen.

Cast out your own demon.

Yes. Yeah. No, literally, because you were.

You were in the Word. You were praying.

Yeah.

And you were like, dude, screw that. I'm just gonna pray. Like, I don't understand all that other stuff. I'm praying.

Yeah.

Yeah, dude. You had total faith.

Yeah. No, exactly, bro. And it's all spiritual. It's all spiritual.

I mean, like, last night, like, we're at your house.

Yeah.

You guys were doing Your thing. And, like, me and Steve were talking. I was like, yeah, man, I just got this toothache, dude. Like, I woke up. And so he. Like, that's where you start listening.

Yes.

Listening to the Holy Spirit. Like, he literally. He was like, dude, he was like, let me touch your tooth. I was like, no, Steve, like, that's really weird.

Laugh about that.

I'm serious.

Like, Cade literally was like, bro, he's praying for his tooth right now.

Yeah.

You know what I mean? And it's like, dude, people will literally just like, laugh at things like that. But it's like, bro, we're talking about the supernatural, bro.

Like, we're talking about God, dude.

Jonah took three days in the stomach before praying to God. Like, dude, he suffered for three days when he just needed to talk to God. Like, why do we wait three days? Why do we. Are you going to sit there and suffer for three days with your tooth or you're just going to take care of it, but you're just going to Jesus?

Yeah, I mean, I'm not, dude. There's. There's no dentist that's open, but there's Steve Black that's willing to pray for me. And dude.

And like, literally, I woke up, no pain because of it, you know?

I'm going to add that as a standard for my friends now. Yeah. It's like, if you're not willing to put your finger in my mouth and pray for my tooth.

Like, there's a guy trying to get out of the tub. And, like, James walked over. He's like, not today.

The guy's just like, yes, sir.

Dude, I. I just want to tell you guys, like, a crazy story about my wife's faith here.

So my wife, dude, she's like, I'm

gonna pee Real quick.

I've had this crazy wart on my hand for, like, like, three years. Like, I had. I've had it, like, surgically removed, and it came back like, that's John. I was always, like. Always had this thing on my hand. Like, you can see the scar. And I had it froze off. I had to cut off. I had it froze off again and again and again and again. And I had to cut off again. And I was like, dude, it was never going. Isaac gave me a loaf of bread. He's like, dude, this is gonna help. He's gonna get rid of it. It's like, oh, yeah. Great. Awesome. And one day, I'm like, sitting in bed. I'm like, I'm sick of this wart. And my wife goes, why haven't you prayed it away? And I was like, I have prayed it away. And she's like, obviously, you didn't. So one day I get my truck, and I was like, I prayed for my wart. I was like, wait, I've never, like, actually prayed for my wart, you know, to go away. And so I get the truck, and I'm just like, hey, God, I love you. Thank you for today. I still got this wart. Can you get rid of it for me? Please, God, I'm really trust. Like, dude, I just believe you can just, like, heal my hand. And, like, you guys see it, dude. Like, I don't have a wart on my hand. Like, you can see the scar, but that's because, like, I damaged it trying to get it cut off instead of going to Jesus. I dealt with this for three years, and it was always cut. I was always bleeding from it. Chelsea gave me some home remedies. Chelsea Black C's wife. She's so great. And then she gave me home remedies. Like, just fix it. And, like, it just never went away. But until I trusted God to do it, it went away, dude. Like, it's not there anymore. So. Wow. That was, like, just a couple weeks ago.

Hannah. Hannah's faith, dude.

Hannah told me. She's like, well, why don't you go pray it away? Like, why don't you pray that you pray for everybody all day long, but you won't pray for your stupid hand? Like, go pray for it. And I'm like, that's the kind of woman I married, dude. Like, that's her faith, man. So she's like, just. Why don't you get your. Your butt into the seat and say, hey, I need prayer here, and I need to do this.

She's so cool.

Yeah. What is this? There she is. Gone before we could. I can't read that. Gone before we could file it as it dependent on our taxes. You looking for that write off Hannah? That's so funny.

Jerry. Noodles, man. What's up, bro? But, yeah, so that's. That's kind of faith you got to have, man. They just think a guy can, like, do anything in your life. And. And you know, I also want to point out, like, you know, if you think he's not showing up, man, like, you need to look harder. You need to look harder at where he's showing up. And it doesn't. I'm going to tell you right now, it doesn't always look like the way you want it to look. Yeah. You know, and everybody always expects Jesus to show up the way that they want him to. Like, he shows up, but he shows up in a way that, like, he's working on it, you know, so someone said North Dakota. And I'm going to give Frank credit. Just, I think it was him. And it was every night. And it's like a good practice to get into every night before bed when you pray to the Lord, tell him

where you saw him that day. Oh, yeah. I forget who shared that, but, yeah, that really hit me whenever they shared it.

Yes.

As opposed to like a gratitude journal. So gay. It's like do like a God reminders, you know, like, man, God, I saw you in this today. That was really cool.

That was really.

Because think about the woman with the. The woman at the well. Yeah, right. When. When Jesus encountered her, what ends up happening is she says, like, you know, I know that the Messiah is going to come and he's going to reveal us all things. And not knowing the Messiah is right in front of her. And then even when she went to go share testimony, she didn't say, everyone, the Messiah's here. She said, could this be the Messiah?

Right.

She still wasn't even fully sure that he was the Messiah because he looks so normal, so natural. So there could be something extremely supernatural right in front of you, and you miss it because it doesn't look the way that you thought it was going to look. You thought it was going to look like this big gigantic moment, this insane, whatever. Even with, like, demons getting casted out, sometimes you just don't see something crazy. Like, I've. I had a buddy who was a mentor of mine in spiritual warfare. Latin king, ex Latin king, ex occultist, invited demons literally would astral project to do missions for Demons. And then when he got delivered, he. He said that his pastor told him that his mouth would open up wider than it's supposed to and black ghost, like animals would come out and go. So that's one manifestation of a demon leaving. I've also prayed for somebody where their body just went from extremely hot to normal temperature. And it wasn't this crazy, like, you know what I'm saying? But sometimes it's like, we think it's gotta look like a certain way. You know what I'm saying?

Yeah. And the biggest thing is, is like. Like to just touch off of that. It's like, if you were to put what we do on YouTube, like, we. They'd be like, what are these guys talking about? It just wouldn't have the same effects. Yeah, yeah, but when something supernatural is happening, it's supernatural.

You can't get your phone out fast enough.

Yeah, no.

And the moment's like, did I just see that? Like, but it's also the belief to it too.

Like, you know, but I'm trying all this Asian stuff.

Pretty good.

Not gonna lie.

But yeah, I mean, you. You end up in all these scenarios. You're. You're sitting there in. In somebody's kitchen or on their deathbed or wherever, man, and like, God starts working miracles. Like, you're never. I don't think I, like, like, unless it's like later that evening you're like, laying down or you're just getting done praying or you, you know, trying to tell someone else, wait a minute. This happened and this happened, this happened. And then, you know, like, Malachi and I think Tom both are like, hey, you need to start writing this stuff down. Yeah. You know, cuz there was like. It's like every night now.

Like, y' all should start a podcast called Demon Hunters or just. Just go live with me once a week, like, so I can hear the story out there. I'll hire someone to take the transcription and do awesome stuff with it.

It's like, chilly out, you know, and we're all just kind of, like, waiting by the street. I mean, like, literally there's like 90 people. It seems like it's like anytime we ever roll up, there's, like, you know, 17 dudes that jump out of me

I could probably name them all off of it. Like, anyway, we're heading to Tim's. Brick's house and. And we stop in this alleyway. We, like, all get out. We're all walking to his house. And Stuart Black, like, so Steve's twin brother, he, like, goes, is this where we're slaying that demon? He's like, is this what we're praying? Like, just, like, honks, like, whoa. And I was like, this is the new normal. Like, this is, like, what our town has turned into.

Let's go. Like, we gotta go get in.

So we roll up, we go into this house, and we walk in. And then, like, the. So his wife, Tim Frick's wife, was like, you know, like, hey. Like, you know, she's really uncomfortable. She's, like, nervous. You know, there was some. There was some struggle in their. Like, some struggle with us even coming over because she's just like, you know, to have people over stresses her out and stuff. And what had happened was that morning, we get a phone, you know, like, he was telling Brandon, like, hey, like, we have this. We got this disease that they're trying to have a baby. And the last time she had a child, you know, they told her that she had. That there were some complications with her liver. And so they went in to go get it checked prior to, you know, starting to have a baby. Because they don't want to damage the liver anymore.

Yeah.

And so what is it?

Cirrhosis.

Sosa liver. Never drank a day in her life. It's just bad jeans or something.

I'm sure Hannah will correct me if I said it wrong. Yeah. Waiting for it.

So she tell about the dog.

Anyway, so, yeah, they got cirrhosis.

She.

She's been diagnosed with the cirrhosis of the liver. Like, never drank, you know, and there's two. There's two options for them. Like either it's going to be like, you know, like a 10 year plan, like, and then she needs a transplant, or it's going to be like a two year plan and she's going to need a transplant. Like, from my understanding of the story, I'm no doctor, guys, like, and I'm an oilfl worker. So all this is over and I'm

like, all right, cool. But I also got a juice Jesus. It's qualified though, huh? Jesus is qualified.

Yeah, but Jesus is qualified. He knows all about it, right? So we're like, we're just gonna bring all these guys in prayer for her and like, you know, see. See what happens? Well, like, and Malachi comes in and you know, he's leading. He's like, you're gonna have that baby. You're gonna have that baby and you guys don't need to get checked. And so this is being diagnosed. Like she's going in there to get like, just to get like the final checkup to figure out what level she's at, right? She's been diagnosed and we're like, hey, thank you for that report, but, like, we're not accepting it. Like, thank you.

Come on.

We appreciate it.

Yeah, yeah.

And we told him that, you know, there was like, okay. Like, Tim's like, all right, sweet. You know, like, hey, calm down, man. Have faith.

Absolutely.

And so we go into this, we sit down and, like, they just got him and his wife there. And we start praying, and, like, everything's kind of going down. And, like, you know, then the kids, like, you know, like, you know, we've already been in here, like, a while. Like, you know, 15 minutes of talking, and, like, you know, there's like a little worship music going on. Like, you know, everybody's kind of like telling a story, like, telling us what's going on. And, like, we go into prayer. Now it's like 15, 20 minutes. The kids are, like, hungry. Like, they're coming out of school. So, like, they're coming upstairs like, hey, dad, can I get a snack? It's like, sure, go get a snack. You know, like, there's just so much life in this house.

Yeah.

And, like, each one of us pray, and then, like, then, like, they let the dog tucked away in the back corner, you know, like, in the back of the house. And this dog comes out, and, like,

it's peanuts turn to pray.

Who does this dog, like, go right up there. It starts licking his hand. And he's like, dude, get off.

So sorry, Jesus. Like, it was so funny.

He's like.

And the dog would just kind of

like, jump back up. And he was like, seriously, I'm.

This dog's just going ham on his

hand, just getting low licked. And it's like, the music stops. And, like, you know, and then, like, you just hear this dog just licking.

And, you know, and I'm like, man, this is just the greatest thing. So I'm, like, grabbing this dog. I'm, like, walking in. I'm, like, putting it downstairs, shutting it. Then I'm like, kind of like, pushing

the kids downstairs and, like, oh, yeah,

you want to snack it?

Here you go, dude.

And his kids, snacks.

Throwing the dog down the stairs, you

know, and, like, I can just tell, like, n's like, dude, get that dog out of here.

This dog is killing the spiritual vibes.

And so we. Anyway, like, we get done. And, like, dude, like, Tim's like, dude, like, I've. I've never felt the spirit like that. I've never felt the Holy spirit.

Yeah.

Come into us like that. And I was like, dude, it's time, man.

Like, you.

You need to have faith in this. This is he's like, oh, it's done. Like, I can tell it's done. Right. The next day they go in and, like, it's taken abnormal long time. Right? Like, this whole entire situation's taking place, and they're just like, well, you know. So they, like, come back out and they tell Tim his wife, like, hey, like, we can't find it. We don't know what it is.

We don't know where it is. Like, there's just none of it. Yeah.

So we're like, we're praying for my brother. He's got stage four lung cancer. Well, he had stage lung four cancer. Like, you're speak life. But he like, so Cole, Colton's on the phone. He's like, Cole, he's like, he's like, we're all going to raise our hands to the Lord. Like, raise our hands to the Lord and the cat. Like, he, like, he's in a. Like a little cage thing. Like, he's in a little cage thing. And he like, crawls up, puts his hand up there, doesn't have it fold. Like, it doesn't fall down. Like, his hands are up the entire time.

And he goes, we're gonna bow down

to you, God, right now. And the cat bows down, like, butt up in the air. Bows front down to the. To the Guy. He's like. And I was like, dude, you and my brother Jesse's like, telling me the story. He's like, shut up. He's like, I'm not kidding. Carry this hairless cat wherever they go. And this cat is being obedient to God. I was like, I wish you took a picture. He's like, we were being obedient to God and raising our hands.

I was like, you didn't take a picture. He's like, bro, how are we supposed to take. Dude, see, how are we supposed to take a picture? And I was like, that's why you need the medical.

It's. It's the. Yeah, it's the. It's the thing, like, you. If you're. If you're too busy pulling your phone out, you're gonna miss. Miss it.

Resurrections. People that were dead that came back to life. Right. That are verified. And before that happened, though, he was asleep and he heard an evil noise downstairs in his house. So he comes out of his room, and he turns on the light and looks down there and stood. Satan himself is sitting on his couch.

And then you get diarrhea and you're

But that's how we. That's how we live as humans. And like, dude, we wonder why demons are able to take over our life, dude. Yeah. And how we're like. And how we let fear control how we handle our kids or when we go into rooms and stuff like that. Dude, it's not a coincidence. The pastors are going to call us to come pray, you know what I mean? And I take it as a badge of honor. And I hope all the pastors that, that do call us and stuff like that, I love them dearly and I will go to battle with them and any day and I'll do anything for our pastors. They. They're. They're the guys that teach us. They're the ones that are shepherding us and in. Good work, dude. Like, I like Vondell, Pastor Vondell. He's like, he's amazing. He like really leads me. He like lets me barge into his office whenever I want just to like talk about scripture. He's like, oh, James is here. Okay, so this is a two hour one or is this like James, let's

It's just what I was gonna. What I was gonna say is the way that we give the enemy the upper hand is what you were saying is fear. Because fear is the opposite of faith.

It's literally.

So God's language is faith and then the devil's language is fear. God's thought process is faith. There is nothing that's impossible. Right. And then the devil's thought process is fear. Which is why it's so important for anybody who like feels like they're struggling with anything. The only way to overcome fear is to face it. Like if you see in, in, in the Old Testament when the Israelites had gotten like bitten by snakes and they were like terrified now because of that happened, God told Moses, create a bronze snake and put it up on a pole and have them go face it. And when they do, they're going to be healed. Now that's obviously like a type and shadow of Jesus. We could talk about that. I want to do a whole type of shadows Things with Cave York, because he loves those things where you can see Jesus in the Old Testament before, before he even came. But it's also a principle of facing the thing that you're scared of now, facing the very thing that you're scared of now. And so for a lot of people that are like, listening right now, what you're really hearing these dudes say is like, especially John. I was so afraid that I told God I'll sign up for anything minus that. And then what God do, hey, I'm gonna put a serpent and put it right in front of you. Yeah, I'm gonna put you right in front of another demonic force. And I'm gonna show you how pathetic it is and how much power you have because of me. And this is gonna be awesome.

Thank you, Jesus.

And then you overcame the fear and now it's just full blown faith. Same thing probably happened with you on praying for somebody for healing. It's like at first you're like, I don't know if this is gonna happen. I don't know if this is gonna work. And then you do it. And then now all of a sudden it's just, I'm just moving in faith. I'm just moving in faith. So I want to encourage everybody that's listening and I want you guys to give like a final encouragement of, like, my encouragement to them is face anything that you're scared of, because that is faith. Fear is telling you, I don't know if I'm gonna make it. I don't know if that thing's gonna take me out. I don't know if that's the right thing to do right now. I don't know how to handle it. And when you face it with faith, it'll be handled and you'll see how not that scary it is. And it's going to make sure that the devil doesn't get a foothold and a stronghold on you in your life. Because fear will let the devil come rushing in and you'll begin to experience a lot of attacks. But what would you guys say to them? Go ahead, James.

I would just say if you don't know what to do, like, just ask the Holy Spirit. I mean, and then, and then it'll guide you where to go. In the Bible, man. Like, pray before you read. Pray if you don't know what to do. And like, you know, but just before you try to fix anything, just. Just work on a relationship with Jesus. Yeah, that's what you got to do, man. Like talk to him. Fix your relationship with Jesus and like, dude, everything else just, like, comes natural because, like, dude, I don't want to. There's times why I didn't want to be in the chair. I want to be hanging out the church for five hours trying to, like, you know. Yeah. Demons. But, like, again, like, that's our. That's our job. That's what we're going to do. Like, if we don't do it. Like, these guys have been oppressed for 35 years, man. Like, how are we gonna. It's crazy, you know, we gotta go and help these guys out, man. Like, and I was thinking about this. Some of them are winning. When these people are dying, they're suicide. Or we just stand there. Watch it. Wish I could have done something. You can. We can pray for them.

If you don't think your. Your prayers have weight, like, try it. Try me. Like, yes, just not me, God, not me at all. Listen, if you. If you think you have no, no authority, just start praying to Jesus and just let him do all the work. Watch what happens, dude. He lifts everything heavy off your back all the time, dude. Yeah, let him do that. So anyway, I'll shut up, so.

Yeah. I would just second both of what you guys are saying. The. The three things that we need to do is just like, you get you. You read your Bible. But the biggest thing when you start off, you just pray, read your Bible and then meditate on it, and you'll have all your answers.

Yeah, we don't do anything. Yeah, we don't have to do anything. All we do is like, hey, God, I'm just asking you, what do you want me to do in these situations? And it's like, let him have it. Yeah.

He will tell you to listen.

You know what I mean? I remember there was this kid we were praying for. He had like a fractured ankle or some. Or shin bone or something like that, and he wasn't getting healed. And then I felt the Holy Ghost say, put my word under his foot. And so I put the Bible under his foot and put it on there. Got healed.

It's like, Steve last night with My teeth.

Put your finger on his tooth. Don't. Don't just be like, lord, no. He tried to do that.

He was like,

he washed your hands first. I think he just wanted to put his finger in your mouth.

Double win. Double win.

I don't think he did.

Did he ask which tooth it was? And they're just like, specifically count to it. And you're like, ow. He.

So, again, like, you will get all your answers if you're in the word. If you're praying, you're in the word.

And you're meditating on it, like, listening to. You know, just sit there. And how do you do that? You just sit there in silence and you don't fall asleep. You just listen.
