If you're afraid to break the rules when it comes to gardening, you've got to walk through this beautiful kitchen garden with me. Right now it's just two raised beds and three arch trellises. There's tomatoes on the left side of this arch and cucumbers on the right. Yes, you can grow them together. In between, we're growing beets and garlic and onions and lettuces and bush beans. And there is no mulch in between these plants. The second arch is growing loads of pole beans and yes, they're planted right next to the garlic and onion. There's no pesticides in this garden because we've got sage and chives and lavender and oregano growing. The arch trellis is completely covered with cherry tomatoes. There are eight tomato plants growing on this one trellis. This kitchen garden showcases all the things I teach that you can have a productive and beautiful and also healthy kitchen garden, but only if you break the traditional gardening rule.
