Hello, dear aquarists, thanks for watching my next video here about a pangasius of a parasitic infection caused by flagellates spirulucleus used to be called hexameter. And I will share you my findings that I collected together in a PowerPoint so I can show you how the fish behave and how the parasites can be detected in the microscope. I explain a lot about diseases in my books in different languages about prevention, diagnosis and the ways of treatments. You can apply link I will share here below in the text. Here we show you the pangasius. You can see that some are separating. They're not acting normal anymore. Abnormal behavior. They die. Not all at once, but a few. Some getting dark, some getting skinny. Different symptoms, some getting sometimes bleeding markings. All different kind of symptoms we can observe in these Pegasus. It was what's typical that we found all these tiny little bugs moving around here in the water. Difficult to see because at this magnification here, the higher magnification we see him twirling around in the water. And here we can use this air bubble as a magnifying glass. You can see him passing through here. So you see some tiny parasites next to the gut, which was coming out during my taking the sample. Here, another part of the gut, you see him here moving around the parasites, the tiny ones. Interesting is when you observe the intestine or the gut, at some parts you see no parasites. And at some parts of the intestine you see a lot of parasites. So sometimes they cause obstruction. So the excrements are blocked inside the intestine. So at those parts you can find a lot of those parasites. Spiral nucleus, it used to be called hexabita. Here, another observation from another part, you can see many more of those parasites clearly noticeable when doing examination. So check the whole intestine. Sometimes it's at the end part, sometimes it's at the middle part of the intestine you find those parasites spinal nucleus. But at least it tells us that this is the infection we are dealing with and that the fish are suffering from it. And it disrupts the gut flora and also gives a risk of bacterial infections. And metronidazole combined with ferrelta though, is what I used in my experience. But ask your fish doctor or pet shop, they might have good products available and you can help the health and the repair of those fish because some are not so badly damaged yet when they're still eating, you can use a functional food that helps the fish to repair and to fight off the infection. Here we recommend Dr. Basler Biff's food lapacho. So treatments are advised in my books in different languages. See the link below. Or you can get special training on fish doctoring and quarantining fish and treating fish at my Patreon. So I hope this video helped you to understand the infection of spiral nucleus in Pagassius and how to deal with it. Thank you for watching and subscribe to see more of my videos.
