HubSpot admins Alex and Yeehaw discuss data quality problems like duplicate records, broken syncs, and bad migrations. They pitch product fixes: better duplicate previews, smarter filtering, undo-merge features, and safeguards to block corrupted data before it enters the system.

Last week of the Hug was the Spring Spotlight. This week, spring cleaning. Inside the HubSpot Admin Hub, we welcomed Alex and Yeehaw to talk about data quality in HubSpot. Because shiny new features are exciting, but none of it works the way it should when the data underneath is just plain messy. You know, duplicates, broken syncs, confusing reports, old migrations, integrations doing mysterious things. And as admins, you know that the mess, it doesn't stay in one place. It infiltrates your entire organization and it ends up on your to-do list to clean it all up. What stood out the most for me was this: HubSpot isn't just talking about cleanup anymore. They're thinking more like operators. We heard conversations around better duplicate review previews, smarter filters, more control over merge decisions, bulk cleanup improvements, plus potential undo merge capabilities. And better yet, preventing what's coming in from doing damage before it enters. As usual, the best part was the chat and the Q&A admins bringing real-world scenarios no product roadmap could invent. Helping the HubSpot product teams help us users out, keeping in mind things like associations instead of merges, workflow re-enrollment concerns, external systems that rely on specific record IDs. And that's why this community matters. The Spring Spotlight showed us what's new, but the community shows us what's needed. Be sure to subscribe to the HubSpot Admin Hub YouTube channel for the full replay, and I'll see you in the chat next week.
