Authentic videos = connection, not info. Lost train of thought? Just be present and express Self π

George Kao argues authentic videos prioritize connection and presence over perfect information delivery. Lose your train of thought mid-recording? That's fine. Channel your passion in the moment and save the step-by-step instructions for written articles instead.

Okay, an important distinction is that authentic videos isn't about conveying information or knowledge, or at least not doing it perfectly. You might start out in your planning by saying, ah, I want to teach about this today. That's fine. I invite you to throw the agenda out the window the minute you open your mouth or the minute you forgot what the third point was or what the first point was. Throw it the F out the window because your audience doesn't care. Even if you said, I want to say the very three important points. And then you, like, you get going and you're like passionate talking about something you totally don't even mention. The third point, the audience is like, oh, that was a fucking good video. If you were to quiz them on what were the three points, they'd be like, I don't know, but that was entertaining. So this is really important, your authentic videos, and I think videos that build a true fan audience, which is really what you want. You know, you're not making videos for Wikipedia, all right? You're making videos. Well, in my opinion, because expressing yourself is a healing and growing process. That's really the most important thing. And by the way, it helps you get clients. But you're making videos because you are practicing letting out your authentic presence and you're letting your genius communicate itself to the world. Because while you're here, this is the most valuable thing you can do, you know, is to express your, your, your the truest self you can muster up on camera. And what was I going to say? I don't care what I was going to say. So, so, so, so I hope this is going to help you to relax and go, oh, God, I forgot what the seven points were. I didn't care what the seven points. I don't fucking care what one point was. But I'm gonna, I mean, the points help me start talking and have like something I'm going to start saying. But as you probably have seen my, my videos all the time, the ones particularly that are like the 20 minute long ones. Oh, I lose the plot. Like four minutes in, I've lost the plot, you know, like, I don't know what I was with. Where am I? Who am I? Oh, yes, I'm still on camera. Let's keep going, you know, so, so don't worry about it. And this is good for those of us who are going to have dementia as we go along. It's like, it's okay, keep recording. I don't remember what I started this by saying. Continue speaking. Just keep talking and smiling if It's a topic worth smiling about. And the most important thing I hope is, again, it's much more about the heart and not about the head. Now you might say, george, well, what about content? I mean, isn't content king content? Content is king, isn't it? Sure. Video content is about the heart. It's about the expressions and those people who want to do editing. It's about the editing. But if you want to convey the seven steps, you know, or the three main pitfalls, do it in the goddamn article, okay? Writing is about the accuracy of communication, charts, even graphics. Not videos. Or at least not authentic videos, the way I'm teaching you. I'm not teaching you the way that a lot of YouTubers do enormous amounts of planning and editing for storytelling. You could take another class for that. I would never do that. It's just way more work than I enjoy. But authentic videos, which I believe is really what makes us come alive when it comes to content creation and what makes you become more and more of a genius in your authentic power, I think it has way more personal development benefits. So anyway, it's ain't about the info. It's about the care, the passion, the in the moment genius that just comes through. That's because you're channeling. The more you throw the info out the window and throw the outline out the window, the more your channeling can start. The more you go, spirit, come through and let it be. And. And then you have to somehow find a way to end. And the way I find my. The way I find the way to end, it's like, how the hell have I been going for 20 minutes already? All right, well, I think that's all I'm going to say today, you know, I mean, that's literally how I end. It's like I look at the clock and go, shit. All right, that's all I'm going to say today. I hope this was helpful. I wish you well, you know, and have a great day kind of thing.
