Your content and ads as a ministry

George Kao argues that sharing authentic content is a form of charity that reaches people at scale. He recommends treating Facebook ad spend as a charitable investment to spread free, helpful content to those who need it, separate from ads you run to sell courses.
Chapters
Do you have a message you share that you really believe in? Maybe you make videos like I do, or you write articles that are meant.
To better the world, that if more.
People saw your message, more people would.
Be healed or transformed or otherwise positively change the world. Well, if that's the case, then maybe that work that you do to share.
Your message and could be the most impactful thing you can do in your life.
More than volunteering, you know, at a soup kitchen or, you know, volunteering for.
A cause is you shining your unique light to the people who need your message.
Think about that. And this is why I'm so passionate about my business, because I get to do this. I share, as you know, these videos all the time, three times a week. I'm trying to share a perspective that is going to help you grow in your authentic business. Because I believe that if you grew your authentic business or your joyful productivity, that the world around you would be a better place. And so I feel like this is a very high leveraged way for me to help change the world in a positive direction. Okay, so that's. Number one, is that this may be our best volunteering activity in terms of our impact, because this is what we uniquely, uniquely are. Nobody else can do what we are doing. Nobody else can have the voice that.
We have to help the people that.
Resonate the most with our voice and our message. Right. Number one. Number two is, are you spending money on charity?
Do you give to causes?
Well, what if you also spent some of your charity money on spreading your message? Right, so that's what I do with Facebook ads. I post these videos right onto Facebook and then I use Facebook ads to further share my videos to the people that I think will be most helped by them.
Lots of people who never even heard.
Of me before are now seeing my videos.
Right. And what about you?
Can you also make videos or write.
Articles and then use Facebook ads to.
Grow your impact in the world regardless of whether they buy from you? That's what I mean.
Here is that you are thinking about.
Your content and your spending in this case as like a charity, like a cause, right? And of course, you get a double benefit.
That is, maybe some of those people decide that they want to work with you in your business or buy your services and products. But I'm here talking about the free content that's not trying to sell anything.
That'S simply trying to benefit others.
And I think about Facebook ads in two buckets. One is, like I said, this kind of charity type of thing where you're spreading your unique message for the purpose of benefiting others. And then that's the first bucket. The second bucket is, yes, I do use Facebook ads to sell more of my online workshops, online courses, and that I think about as an investment in my business. But that's the first bucket of spending.
Money on ads to further spread your.
Beneficial message, non sales message to more people who can be helped is the point that I'm trying to make here in this video. And I really want you to consider that because that could be some of the best money you spend in terms of social impact and world betterment.
