Epic Home Office Tour For My Coaching Business

Greg Faxon shows his home office setup in Burlington, Vermont, including a sit-stand desk, Blue Yeti mic, and floating shelves. He explains how to arrange your background with books and a diploma so clients take you seriously on video calls.
My wife and I just moved from West Virginia to Burlington, Vermont. And one of the first things that I need to get set up was my new home office. So in this video, I'm going to take you around on a little tour of the office and I'm also going to show you the accessories and the things that I consider essential to my productivity. Let's get into it.
Alright. So this is my desk setup. You see, I have this monitor arm. I also have a meditation cushion. I have a candle by the side of it. I also have my vision board here. You can see my whiteboard above it. This is pretty cool. It's a bike setup. It can actually hang two bikes. Hold my shoes, my helmet, my bike lock. I have an IKEA chair that I read in. I think it's called the Pong. These are floating shelves. Pretty cool. And I keep some of my favorite books on it. I have some textbooks on it as well. And you can see they sort of just hang on the wall. So highly recommended. This is the inside of my desk, so you can. I have the printer up top. Underneath I have a file cabinet where I keep my headphones and things like that. On top of the desk there is an oil diffuser which I like to have in the office as well. This is the blue Yeti USB mic that I use for interviews and even for client calls. I also have a webcam up top. So I highly recommend this webcam. It's a Logitech and it just makes everything better for your Skype and your zoom calls. Underneath my desk, I have a mat to stand on. I have a chair as well. And you can see I just pull out the chair when I want to sit so I can wobble around on the chair when I'm seated. This is a Plantronics headset that I really like. It has a little stand and I just throw it on for phone calls. All right. And I saved the best for last. This is actually a sitting standing desk. So I just press one button, it goes to a preset height and I can alternate from sitting to standing throughout the day. I find my energy is better when I'm standing and I sound better on phone calls. That's my office. Thank you so much for checking it out.
What's kind of cool is that the view you're seeing right now is the same view that my clients and potential clients see when they're video chatting me. So I have this very intentionally set up. I have books behind me. I have my diploma on one side to build credibility. And if you use video chat with potential clients, it's really important to pay attention to what your background is. So that's one final tip. Thank you for checking out my home office, and we'll talk soon.
