Short YouTube talk by Greg Faxon using a parable of a businessman and a fisherman to argue that before attempting to scale a business, entrepreneurs should check whether they already have the freedom they seek. The speaker contrasts ‘pursuing more’ with contentment and practical freedom.

Before you go and scale your business, listen to this story. There's a wealthy businessman and he goes on vacation to an island and he meets a fisherman there. The fisherman's just hanging out in his boat drinking a beer. And the businessman asks, why aren't you fishing? The fisherman says, well, I caught enough fish for the day. I'm done. And the businessman says, well, why don't you go and catch more fish? And then you'd make enough money to get more nets, more boats. You could hire other fishermen and then eventually the business would get to the point where you could just hang out on the beach all day drinking a beer and really enjoy life. The fisherman says, what do you think I'm doing? Now? Before you seek more and try to make more and try to scale your business, it's worth looking and seeing if you have the freedom that you're seeking already.
