Nehemiah wept over Jerusalem's broken walls and rebuilt them; David couldn't ignore Goliath. When God presses a burden on your spirit, say yes to it. Obedience to that burden brings promotion.
Chapters
Nehemiah lived in the palace. He had comfort. But when he heard Jerusalem's walls were broken, he wept, fasted, and prayed. He couldn't rest until he rebuilt what was torn down. That's a mark of the anointed. David was just delivering bread to his brothers. But when he saw Goliath defying Israel, he couldn't walk away. That giant wasn't his assignment. On paper, but it was his assignment in the spirit. Some of you feel this right now. You hear about marriages breaking apart and suddenly you're on your knees interceding. You see your community under attack and you can't ignore it. That's not you being nosy. That's God putting his burden on you. Don't carry every yoke, but when God's burden presses on your spirit, say yes, because when you obey the burden, promotion follows.
