The most dangerous deception is self-deception. Doesn't even ask himself, is there not a deception in my right hand? And that's the line that should stop us. Is there not a deception in my right hand? The man isn't lying to other people, he's lying to himself. He doesn't even know he's doing it. But how many of us have taken something completely ordinary, something so simple and ordinary such as a phone, a relationship, a job, your body, your fitness, a bank account, and use it for its ordinary purpose all day long. And then in some quiet corner of our heart, we're bowing to that same thing, asking it to deliver me.
