Prayer works better when you start from God's promises instead of your problems. The speaker contrasts desperate pleas with "elevated" prayer that declares what's already true: you're seated with Christ, God provides, weapons won't prosper against you. Speak the finished word and watch it reshape your circumstances.

You cannot access finished kingdom realities from a posture of desperation. Here's the airplane illustration I need to give everybody. Picture flying through a storm on the ground. Yeah. Picture this. Picture flying through a storm on the ground, dark skies, pounding rain, lightning. As the plane climbs through thick storm clouds, suddenly brilliant, Sunshine floods the cabin. The sun didn't start shining when you broke through. It was shining all along above the storm. So let's talk about now the ground-level prayer versus elevated prayer. Ground-level prayer Sounds like this. Oh God, this is terrible. The bills are piling up. The doctors say there is no hope. Please, please help me, Jesus. That's the ground level prayer. After praying like that, you feel worse because you just rehearsed the problem for 15 minutes. That's verbal worrying with religious vocabulary. Elevated prayer begins with assent. Father, I bless you. You are Jehovah Jireh, my provider. You said before I call, you will answer. You said no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places. Now manifest what you've already finished in this situation. Amen. Ah. You need to declare the finished things that they start to manifest. Not positive thinking, that's not what we're talking about. Not positive thinking, kingdom reality. This is not faith.
