God's Plan: Nevertheless, Thy Will Be Done #shorts

Jesus prayed in Gethsemane asking for the cup to be removed, then added the word
Chapters
The plan of God is better than the plan of man. David did. Elijah did. Job did. Jeremiah did. Paul asked 3 times for the thorn to be removed. And Jesus in the garden asked the Father if there was any other way. God is not afraid of your honesty. At times you wanted to cry in hurts, people lying on you, abusing you. I've been there. I know what it means to feel pain, to be betrayed, to tell folks you love them and they won't even tell you that they love you back. Ah, he's God knows because he's already read the next page of your life. He's read the next page of your story. What he wants is not your performance. What he wants more than anything is your presence. Come to him as you are, honest. But one thing that we've got to do when we come to him as we are, when you look in the word, Jesus says something so powerful. Turning the page, you see where Jesus said, nevertheless. But there, here, here's where the message turns. And here's where I need somebody to lean in with me because Jesus didn't end his prayer with remove this cup. He didn't end his prayer with remove this cup. He added one of the most powerful words in all of scripture, and it is the word nevertheless. Nevertheless, not my will be done, but thine will be done. That word nevertheless is the hinge that swung this text all the way open because it swung it open, open because nevertheless means salvation open for the entire world, both you and I and those of you that are watching me.
