Pastor Harry Pitts defines a prophet as someone in complete compliance with God's Word who serves as God's mouthpiece. He warns against seeking popularity in Christian life, pointing to Jesus telling Peter to feed his sheep as a call to faithful obedience, not fame.
I need you to hear me. I need you to lean in. God asked, what is the cost of popularity? He said to Jesus— he said to Peter, Peter, if you love me, feed my sheep. Are you looking for acceptance? Are you looking for popularity? Are you speaking as God's mouthpiece? Beloved, hear me. Who and what is a prophet in the Old Testament and in the New Testament and in this present age is one that is in complete compliance with God's word and speaks as God's mouthpiece and God's mouthpiece alone. God bless you, and I'll see you in part 2 of the next lesson. I'm Pastor Harry Pitts, 514 Grace Church in West
