This is the verse that changes everything for those of you who have been here a long time and feel dry in your walk with Jesus. The filling is not a one-time event. It is a renewable experience. You do not get filled once at salvation and coast for the rest of your life. The Spirit fills and refills and refills again every time you come and ask. If you received the Holy Spirit upon you 20 years ago and you've not prayed in the Spirit in a decade, the door is not closed. The Father is not annoyed with you. Right. The same filling is available again this morning. You do not have to start over. You have to come back to the well and be thirsty. Refilled. And notice what the refilling produced. They spake the Word of God with boldness. They spake with boldness. Boldness, the Greek word is parresia, P-A-R-R-E-S-I-A. And what does it mean? Frank speech, fearless honesty, the kind of speaking that does not flinch when it costs you something. The refilling produces a mouth that is not afraid to speak truth to power. Amen.
