A sermon on how prophets must convey God's message clearly, using biblical examples: the trumpet in Numbers 10:9 signaled war, the shout at Jericho brought down walls, and God's voice on Mount Sinai announced His presence. An unclear message confuses God's people; a clear one awakens them to His will.

And scripture sound has always carried weight. The sound of the trumpet in Israel announced war or victory in Numbers 10:9. The sound of the people's shout brought down the walls of Jericho in Joshua 6:20. The sound of God's voice on Mount Sinai caused the earth to tremble. Exodus chapter 19, verse 18 through 19. Every sound carried in the word of God has a purpose, and every sound carried authority. I need you to hear me. Every sound carried authority, and when it came from heaven, it carried life. direction or judgment. This is why prophets must get the sound right. The Apostle Paul captured this truth when he wrote, for if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle? 1 Corinthians 14:8. A distorted sound can confuse God's people, but a clear and certain sound awakens them to his will.
