A prophet's job is to serve, not rule. The speaker cites Romans and 1 Corinthians to explain that spiritual gifts come from the same Spirit, and references Christ's example of serving rather than being served. Spiritual maturity isn't measured by audience size, but by how faithfully you listen to God.
Now, there's been a teaching, and I need to give some clarity to much of this about rank, ranking prophets. Today, this is happening. You do not rank prophets, have an assignment. The Bible says this in Romans 12:6-8, and you can, you find this in 1 Corinthians 12:4-6. It reminds us that there are different gifts, same Spirit, different ministries, same Lord. Prophets serve, they do not rule. Even when Christ said, the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve. Maturity isn't measured by how many you have listening to you or how many hear you, but by how faithfully you hear him.
