In this short sermon, the speaker introduces a doctrine that many believers are unaware of: the Holy Spirit operates in two distinct modes. The first mode, called the "Holy Spirit within," refers to the indwelling of the Spirit that occurs at the moment of salvation, when a person gives their life to Jesus. The speaker describes this as the Spirit moving into a person’s spirit, taking up residence, and bringing all of His "luggage" and "furniture" to dwell inside the believer. The second mode, the "Holy Spirit upon," is mentioned as a separate way the Spirit works, which the speaker promises to explore later in the sermon, showing its outcomes and opening a door for the audience. The tone is urgent and enthusiastic, urging listeners to stay attentive as the teaching unfolds.

Here is a mystery every believer needs to know. Listen closely. We're never taught. The Holy Spirit comes in 2 different ways. 2, not one. He comes in 2 different ways. 2, not one. The first way is the Holy Spirit within. The second way is the Holy Spirit upon. The first way is the Holy Spirit within. Amen. The second way is the Holy Spirit upon. I'm going to spend the rest of this sermon walking you through both of these, and I'm going to show you what the second one produces, and then I'm going to open the door. So stay with me this morning. Let's talk about the Holy Spirit within. The first way The Holy Spirit comes to a person, is within. He moves inside of you. He takes up residence in your spirit. The Bible word for this is indwelling. Somebody shout, say indwelling. He dwells in you. This happens at the moment you give your life to Jesus, at the very moment you are saved. Immediately he moves in. He brings all of his luggage, his furniture, and he moves in, and he lives inside of you, and he lives inside of me. Amen.
