The disciples failed not from lack of technique but from forgetting they were citizens of heaven with God's authority. Demons don't respond to religious noise, only to kingdom authority. Prayer and fasting restore this governmental consciousness so your words carry the weight of God's throne.
The disciples failed not because they lacked spiritual technique. They failed because they had lost governmental consciousness of who they were as citizens of the kingdom of heaven. They forgot who they were. People said, Pastor, we're not seeing miracles. Because you're not in alignment with the kingdom of heaven. You forgot who you were. That's right. Paul said, O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you? to believe a lie. The disciples had begun operating from their own identity rather than from the authority of the one who commissioned them. You're going to want to hear this. Demons do not respond to religious noise. They respond to governmental authority. Prayer and fasting restore governmental consciousness. They bring the ambassador back into full alignment with the headquarters of heaven, so that when they speak, they speak with complete authority and the backing of the throne of God.
