One of the greatest gifts a father can give is helping a child discover why they are here. Purpose anchors identity. Without it, your child will drift toward validation, comparison, and performance. What this means is purpose, when you give them purpose, Purpose gives stability when approval, likes, thumbs up, DMs start to fade away and the conversation becomes twisted because they have purpose. It will not control their lives or their destiny. Purpose is discovered through guidance. Not pressure. Purpose is discovered through guidance, not pressure. Help your youth identify their strengths. They do have some strengths. They have many strengths. They have many gifts. Help them to identify them. Pay attention to what energizes them. Your sons and your daughter, pay attention to these things. Notice where they show curiosity, creativity, or compassion. Then create opportunities. Let's talk about academics. Teach them how to, to build skills, how to serve in the house of God. Teach them service. Teach them skill building. Not to force outcomes on them that they don't necessarily agree with or understand. But expose them to their potential, the potential that they have on the inside of them, the potential to do great and mighty things in their lives, to change a world, to discover a cure, to become a leading mind in their field. They have great potential. Investment now, the investment that you make gives permanence, but the investment you make now shapes confidence that they will possess later in their lives. I need you to hear me on that.
