Romans chapter 8, verse 26. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities, for we know not what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Stop right there. Paul says sometimes you do not know what to pray. You are facing something, something so deep, something so complicated, so painful, you do not have the words. Your mind cannot figure out the right prayer. You run out of English words. And in that moment, the Spirit inside you starts to pray through you with groanings that cannot be put into normal words. Yes. Amen. And the very next verse, verse 27, and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is in the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. The Holy Spirit knows how to pray the perfect will of God for your life. When you pray in the Spirit, the Spirit prays the perfect will of God through you. He knows the mind of God. You do not always know what to pray, but the Spirit does. He knows exactly What to pray and how to pray. He prays it through you in a language your mind does not have to translate. Amen. Your mind can understand it because it is something different. It is not from this world.
