Unmask Spiritual Sabotage: Protect Your Divine Assignment

In this sermon Harry Pitts warns believers that the enemy seeks to steal their destiny through subtle spiritual sabotage. He outlines five key points. First, he describes the "illusion of progress" where over‑commitment, constant digital noise and misplaced busyness cause a hidden energy drain he calls spiritual leakage, leading to burnout when self‑care becomes a checklist rather than soul‑care. Second, he exposes unseen societal and digital influences—pressure to conform, echo chambers, and information overload—that mute the still small voice of God. Third, he identifies internal and relational saboteurs: the inner critic, negative self‑talk, draining relationships, and procrastination masquerading as discipline. Fourth, he offers practical ways to fortify one’s sacred space: digital detox, intentional silence, community of covenant friends, daily worship, journaling prophetic direction, setting holy boundaries, and rhythms of prayer, rest, and fasting. Finally, he urges activation of the divine assignment through driven clarity, courageous action, and sustained resilience, emphasizing that purpose is revealed through obedience, service, and steadfast stewardship. Throughout he weaves biblical references (2 Tim 1:14, Matt 11:28, Rom 12:2, 1 Cor 15:58) and calls listeners to discern, protect, and walk in power, ending with a personal prayer and invitation to subscribe.

Thank you for watching. I'm going to be teaching on a subject that is near and dear to my heart, and I need you to pay very close attention because I believe that this message is going to change your life. This message is very vital, and you have to listen to all 5 points that I'm going to be teaching. The enemy is trying to rob people of their destiny, so what I'm going to be teaching on is Unmasking spiritual sabotage, protecting your divine assignment. You ready? Let's get started. Point number 1, the illusion of progress. Many times you're feeling stuck despite the effort that you put in, but you have to be careful because there's a subtle energy drain. Many believers live in a cycle of motion. Without movement, busy but barren. You're praying and posting and planning, yet something invisible seems to siphon your strength. This is not laziness. It's spiritual leakage is what I call it. Energy is drained not only by sin, but by distraction. When your calendar is full, But your spirit is empty. You're not advancing the kingdom, beloved. You're exhausting yourself in circles. Paul warned Timothy to guard the deposit entrusted to you in 2 Timothy 1:14. The enemy's strategy is not always destruction. It's drainage. He doesn't need to break your calling if he can quietly bleed it dry through Overcommitment, comparison, and constant digital noise. And oftentimes he he'll do this catch twenty-two. He has what I call a good or the good idea, but it's a trap. Distractions disguise as opportunities. Not every open door is divine. Some are decoys meant to divide your focus. The serpent's first tactic in Eden wasn't an attack. In fact, it was a conversation. Did you hear me? It was a conversation, a seemingly harmless dialogue that derailed Adam and Eve's destiny. Likewise, modern, modern good ideas can look productive but pull you off of your assignment. Mm-hmm. Ask yourself, does this opportunity align with my God-given given assignment? Does it multiply fruit or merely maintain busyness? You need to ask that question, and you need to be discernful, because discernment is the firewall of destiny. Without it, ambition can only masquerade as the anointing. And here's another thing that you must be careful of: spiritual burnout. I need you to get that one— spiritual burnout. Spiritual burnout takes place when self-care becomes just another task. Burnout doesn't always stem from overwork. Oftentimes it's the absence of renewal. Self-care without soul care becomes self-idolatry. Many treat rest like another checkbox rather than a spiritual rhythm that Jesus gives us. Jesus didn't schedule rest. He retreated to reconnect with his Heavenly Father. True restoration isn't a spa day; it's surrender to the divine God that calls you and I both to this heavenly assignment that he called us to. Jesus said this in Matthew chapter 11, verse 28: Come unto me, and I will give you rest. The most strategic thing you can do for your assignment, hear me, is to stay still long enough to hear God's voice speak to you again. Number 2, unseen influences at play. The societal pressure to conform is present. It is very present and you can see it. So these, these image, these images that desire to draw your attention away, causing you to conform to the image that they select. But hear me, blending in instead of shining is a dangerous thing. God didn't call you to blend in, beloved. The modern world glorifies blending in while heaven demands standing out. Amen. The kingdom has always advanced through peculiar people, those willing to be misunderstood, because conformity is a silent assassin of the calling that God has placed on your life. The Bible says in Romans chapter 12, verse 2, it warns us, do not be conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. Because your divine assignment will often offend the cultural algorithm. Refuse to dilute your distinction for the comfort of acceptance. Because oftentimes they want you to conform, but no, don't dilute your purpose, your distinction. Don't do that. Here's another one you have to be careful of, these echo chambers. And these echo chambers and confirmation bias that they want to offer you. Because what the intention is, is to reinforce this limiting belief that you need to conform to their image in order to be successful. Because social media has created sanctified bubbles where we follow only those who sound like us. The digital echo chamber, it muffles conviction and breeds complacency. Spiritual sabotage thrives where truth is no longer challenged. Real growth requires discomfort. It really does. If your circle never stretches your perspective or convicts you of your behavior, you're no longer in fellowship. You're in a mirror maze. Simply, you're simply in a mirror maze. The digital deluge will try to overwhelm you with constant information streams. Information overload is the new warfare that you're, that you're experiencing and that I'm experiencing. The human mind was never designed to scroll through 1,000 opinions a day. The constant flood of data, the constant flood of data. Hear me, it's very real. This constant flood of data desensitizes discernment. What we call research often becomes mental warfare, a flood of voices drowning out the still small voice of God. And you have to protect your divine assignment. You must learn to turn down the volume of the world. To hear the whisper of heaven. Number 3, identifying the saboteurs, internal critics, the voice of doubt and inadequacy. The most dangerous assassin is often internal. Your mind can become your own enemy when the inner dialogue contradicts divine truth. These voices— Hear me. I need you to hear me on this. These voices— you're not ready is what they say. You're not worthy is what they say. You're too late. You're too skinny. You're too fat. You're not smart enough. These are the echo chambers that are from the pit of hell, meant to paralyze your purpose. You have to combat lies by speaking scripture aloud. Jesus silenced Satan With it is written. What do you do? You don't confront the enemy with silence. No, you confront him, and you confront your thought life, which is trying to control your entire life with the word of God. Speak the word of God boldly. Speak it loud. And you have to deal with these external negativities. Uh, you have to deal with them. Don't let them go unchecked. And here's another point that you've had— you have to be mindful of: relationships that drain your energy. Samson lost his strength in Delilah's lap, not on the battlefield, beloved. Many divine callings die in the company of the wrong people. Spiritual sabotage is real. Spiritual sabotage often wears the face of familiarity. Yes, it does. You cannot walk in power while keeping close company with those who mock your fire and mock your calling. Some people are assignments, others are attachments. You have to learn the difference. You can't play with this. You have to learn the difference. And those that, uh, are different and those that try to mock your assignment, you know what to do. You have to sever those ties. And then after you deal with severing those ties, I need you to hear me. This one is very powerful. Procrastination is a spiritual mask. It is delaying. the divine action in your life. Procrastination is not laziness. It's fear wearing this discipline. It's wearing discipline, and it is in fact disguise. Let me say that again. Procrastination is not laziness. It's fear wearing discipline's disguise. It's fear wearing discipline's disguise. The enemy knows Delayed obedience is disobedience in slow motion. The longer you wait, the duller your urgency. Faith without motion decays into memory. If you feel heaven nudging you to act, move, even trembling. Grace meets momentum when you move. Number 4: Fortifying your sacred space. You've got to deal with this because digital detox for divine connection is needed. Unplugging to tune in is vitally important. Your phone can be either a portal to purpose or a pit of distraction. Ah, yes. Intentional disconnection is not rebellion. It's actually revival. Designate sacred hours for silence. When you silence the scroll, you'll rediscover the Spirit of God. Every believer needs a Garden of Gethsemane moment, a space where notifications are muted and heaven has your full, undivided attention. You have to also be intentional about community as well, surrounding yourself with aligned souls is vital. God never called anybody— I don't care if you are a prophet of God— to be alone. God didn't call Elijah to be alone. This is why God asked him, what are you doing here? Because God himself is a communal God. God is concerned about community. Ah, the reason being is because the enemy isolates before he infiltrates. Surround yourself with people who stir your spirit, not just soothe your feelings. Destiny demands accountability. Look for those who don't compete with your calling but cover it in prayer. True covenant friends don't just celebrate your victories, they guard your vision. Yes, they guard your vision. And I need you to do this. You need to start reclaiming your energy. Practical tools that I want to give you for spiritual protection of, of reclaiming your energy. You have to do this. You have to have daily worship before work. You have to prioritize presence over productivity. Anoint your space and speak life aloud. Create atmosphere Intentionally. And you must journal prophetic direction. Record what heaven speaks so it can be— so it cannot be stolen by forgetfulness. Discern your diet, both what you consume physically and spiritually. Remember, boundaries are holy. Saying no to noise is saying yes To God. Number 5, activate your divine assignment. You activate your divine assignment and your purpose. How? You have to have what I call driven clarity, defining your unique spiritual contribution. It has to have this defining point. God has placed inside of you this gift, and you have to have Driven clarity. You've got to be purposeful. And clarity is not found, it's cultivated through communion. Your divine assignment is revealed as you walk in obedience. It's not revealed if you do not walk in obedience. God rarely gives maps, he gives mentals. You discern your calling not through striving, But through serving, ask yourself this: what breaks my heart that aligns with God's heart? Where has grace made me unusually effective? What fruit follows my obedience? Mm, yes. Courageous action is stepping into your authority and your authentic power. You have to be driven with courageous action. Courage is not the absence of fear. It's the refusal to surrender to it. Heaven's heroes were not fearless. They were faithful. Every divine assignment begins with one trembling yes to God. David ran toward Goliath, not because he felt strong, but because he was convinced God was with him. The moment you stop waiting for confidence and start walking in conviction, authority will awaken inside of you. And as you walk in this authority, you have to have sustaining strength for the journey. This is a very key spiritual foundation. You have to have sustaining strength for the journey. Creating resilience is something that is a must. Spiritual sabotage often returns as fatigue, so you have to have this resilience because of this journey that God is calling you to. Protect it with all your strength. Now I need you to do something else for me also. Protect your flame. By building rhythm in prayer and rest and fasting and worship. And you must listen to wise counsel. A consistent believer is a dangerous weapon to the kingdom of darkness. Be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord is what the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 15:58. Your divine assignment isn't a sprint, beloved. It's stewardship. I need you to guard it, grow it, give God glory through it. And I wanna give you this final exhortation. Your destiny is too valuable to be sabotaged by compromise, by dullness, by laziness. Your destiny is far too valuable Hell doesn't always send storms. It sends slow leaks. But the Spirit of God is awakening watchmen like yourself, prophets and reformers who will discern the traps, protect the vision, and walk in divine momentum. You are not called to merely survive spiritual warfare. You were born to outlast it and outshine it and overcome it. Stay vigilant. Stay pure. Stay aligned. Your divine assignment deserves the protection that God gives. Walk in power, and just know this: that every day I'm praying for you. My wife Tracy is praying for you. Thank you for watching. Do me a favor and subscribe because we're not done. God is going to use you mightily. Yes, you. Be blessed in Jesus' name.
