In this short teaching, Harry Pitts emphasizes that prophecy is a ministry meant for building up the church, not a mysterious elite gift. He asserts that true prophets serve God’s purpose, avoid competition, and view prophecy as a partnership rather than performance. Pitts introduces nine distinct prophetic profiles from Scripture, highlighting how each was uniquely called and how they collectively reveal different facets of God’s heart—some loud, some gentle, some confronting, some comforting. The central message is that prophetic calling is about function, faithfulness, and fruit, not rank or spiritual status; these are assignments (lanes) rather than levels, urging listeners to seek purpose over platform.
