In this recorded sermon, Pastor Harry Pitts delivers a message titled “The Room You’re Already In,” based on Luke 10:38‑42, the story of Martha and Mary. He contrasts Martha’s busyness with Mary’s focus on Jesus, emphasizing that many believers are like Martha—over‑occupied and missing the present moment of divine encounter. Pitts introduces a practical 4‑step exercise called “Name the Room,” urging listeners to pause, put down their tasks, identify the spiritual “room” they occupy, name the distracting noise, and turn toward the one needful thing—Jesus. Throughout the sermon he repeats worship chants, offers prayers, and calls the audience to personal reflection and repentance, presenting a salvation invitation with a prayer of commitment. He also announces church logistics (online 5‑part series, location in Villa Rica, GA, social media), promotes a forthcoming book by Minister Ophelia on leadership, and solicits financial giving. The tone is fervent, persuasive, and instructional, aiming to motivate listeners to cease busyness, recognize God’s present moment, and respond in faith.

This program is brought to you in part by the friends and partners of 514 Grace Ministries. Coming up next, that he preached on really resonated with me, and I'm not going to plagiarize his message. We're— I'm not going to do that, but it really confirmed some things for me In my thoughts on messages that I've been preparing, so this is one of the messages that the Lord gave me. If you would, let's start the reading of God's Word at Luke chapter ten verse thirty-eight through forty-two. I'm going to be reading from the King James Version. Amen. And it says a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
Can't have heart loud. One name, one sound. Who we call? Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Who still reigns? Jesus, Jesus. We shout one name. Jesus, Jesus. Chains snap when we call that name. We lift one name. Jesus, Jesus. Hell backs up when we praise. We shout one name. Jesus, Jesus. Walls fall, giants hit the ground. We lift one name. Jesus, Jesus.
King of glory, way of Bless you, Jesus. Holy, holy, holy. We bless you, Jesus. Thank you for your presence in this place. God, I ask in the name of Jesus that you speak through your manservant. Oh God, let the words of my mouth, God, And the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O God. Thank you for the anointing to break yokes and destroy the strongholds of the enemy right now in the name of Jesus. God, let your presence rest upon this place. Holy Spirit, you move up and down every row. Touch your people in the name of Jesus. Let your presence leave this place and minister to those that are in their homes right now. Thank you, Holy Spirit. You're so precious, God. Thank you, God, for your presence. Give God a hand clap of praise. Amen. I don't know about you, but I sense God's presence in this room. It is a blessing to be in the house of God. Give God one more hand clap of praise. Amen. Thank God for the, the people of God, the ministers in this church, and Pastor Keith. I got a chance to take a small sabbatical that I needed terribly. Amen. God is faithful. Thank God for every single one of you. Thank God for the members of 514 Grace Church.
Amen.
Tracy and I love you so much. Thank God for my wife. She was obedient to the Spirit of God and and preached the Word that really upset the enemy.
Yes.
And it is really, a really, really profound message. It is growing in strength. She doesn't know this, but I was looking at the stats yesterday. It's really growing. So, there's a need for the Gospel, women of God preaching the Gospel. This is why the Holy Spirit has anointed me to to place this inspiration on, on Minister Ophelia about, uh, this book that she's writing. Amen. And for those of you that are watching, it'll be coming out, uh, hopefully we want to say sometime this year, but we, we're not going to push her. Uh, we, we, we know that it'll be coming out at latest in 2027.
Yes.
Uh, and this book that she's writing is going to— I'm telling you, it is going to bless Pastors and leaders. She's a leader par excellence. This woman of God knows what she's doing. She doesn't say much, but when she does speak, she carries such a powerful anointing, a heart of a servant. And that's what every pastor needs. I'm sorry, I only got one. I can't share. So, but we're not gonna do that.
I'm gonna—
I get to selfish. Amen. But she— we're gonna multiply her, and we're gonna, uh, we're gonna put a book together. Amen. That she's gonna share with all of you so that you can train your leaders appropriately. Amen. So that's how God's gonna multiply the anointing that's upon her life. Amen. So we're not gonna— we're not gonna hoard her. She's going to multiply herself in the form of a book. Amen. Thank God for, for So there is a word from the Lord. We're gonna open this lesson up this morning with Luke chapter 10, verses 38 through 42. And if I'm going to title this message, Pastor Keith did such a wonderful job the last month and a half on teaching on the kingdom of heaven.
Amen.
5-part series. It is online. You'll see it. It's there. It's a really good series. Amen?
Amen.
But I want to teach on a lesson. I've watched this man of God from a distance, and he's taught a word here recently, Bishop T.D. Jakes, that really— and I don't normally minister— I don't normally mention preachers from this but the word that he taught was so profound to me, and the words that he preached on really resonated with me. And I'm not going to plagiarize his message. We're— I'm not going to do that. But it really confirmed some things for me in my thoughts on messages that I've been preparing.
Yes.
So this is one of the messages that that the Lord gave me. If you would, let's start the reading of God's Word at Luke chapter 10, verse 38 through 42. I'm gonna be reading from the King James Version, amen?
Amen.
And it says, a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at his feet, Jesus' feet and heard his word, but Martha was cumbered about much serving. Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things, but one thing is needful. And Mary hath chosen that good part which shall not perish, be taken away from her. I want to title this message this morning, The Room You're Already In. The Room You're Already In. So name the room that you're already in, and I want to proposition every single one of you that's in this church this morning that's present, because God is always giving you a moment. Listen to me. God is always giving you a moment.
Amen.
The tragedy here, the tragedy is not that we refuse it, that moment. It's that we're Too busy, too busy doing good things to see it. And there is a way to learn how to see that moment, Pastor Keith.
Amen.
Too busy, and we could possibly miss the moment. So I want to set the temperature before the text begins. I looked at one of the devices that Bishop Jakes used. Bishop Jakes opens by naming the spiritual climate of the room before he preaches a single word. So we do the same in our voice, and we— What's the temperature? tailor this message to reach the person that is watching us on the screen, that's watching us in a different country, Amen. that's not sitting in this building, in this church, in this congregation. The one that is watching us via Instagram, the one that's watching us via YouTube. And there is a stillness in here this morning And I don't want us to rush past it. Some of you came in carrying a week that tried to break you. Yes. Some of you are watching this message sitting in your home alone. Some of you are in another country. Maybe you're watching this message and you're in Canada, or you're here in the United States, or you're sitting watching this message on some Christian network.
Amen.
But I want to say to you, there's an hour when you should be asleep, and there's an hour when you should be awake. I want you to do one thing before I open this text. I want you to take a breath and stop what you're doing. And don't miss this moment. Put down whatever you're holding right now, just for the next few minutes. Everything you walked in holding, sit it down just to hear a word that is going to change your very life. Because God is not looking for perfect people, nor a room full of perfect people. He's looking for an open heart that will be obedient to him, that will listen to him. Say it back to me out loud. Whatever you are, Lord, I want all of you. I'm here And I'm listening, and I will obey in the name of Jesus. Let's get to the message. The woman who did everything right. Yes. Verse 38, a certain woman named Martha received him into her house. Did everything right.
Right.
Before anybody criticizes this woman, Give Martha her honor. She's the one who opened the door. Mary gets the praise at the end, but Martha is the reason there is a story at all. She received him. She made room for the Savior. Martha is The responsible one. Martha is the one who shows up. Martha is the one everybody leans on and nobody checks on. I want you to turn to somebody, look at them, look at them. Don't be afraid, turn to them, it's okay, they're not gonna bite you. Turn to somebody or type, type it wherever you're watching. Amen. And say, Martha is me. Martha is me. But verse 40 says, Martha was cumbered about much serving. That word cumbered means pulled in every direction at one time, dragged around Martha wasn't cumbered because she was doing nothing. Martha was cumbered because she was doing everything. Hmm. Now here's the trap. Somebody shout, here's the trap.
Here's the trap.
A gentle one. It's a gentle one, which is what makes it dangerous. It never comes dressed as sin. It comes dressed as responsibility. Ah, let me, let me take my time right here because there's something in the original language you have to see. You can't, you can't miss this. Can, can I take my time? Is that all right?
Amen.
And I wanna give some real content. Luke wrote 27% of the New Testament, Pastor Keith. Scholarship earns him the right to later ask for feeling. We spend one beat going deep in the text so people know there is meat, not just heat. We all wanna give heat. We wanna preach fire and brimstone. But we need to give meat, the Word of God. Ah, Jesus tells Martha she is careful and troubled about many things. That word trouble doesn't mean busy. It means stirred up in an upward roar, thrown into inner turmoil. Jesus is looking straight past the dishes. He's looking straight past the dishes and the serving into the storm going on inside of her, Minister Tracy.
Amen.
And then the hinge of the whole passage. Verse 42, here it is. But one thing is needful. One thing, not everything.
One.
One thing.
One thing.
Martha was troubled about many things, and every one of them was real. Jesus doesn't deny that fact. He just tells her the truth the noise wouldn't let her hear.
Right.
The many things were real, but only one thing was what? Needful. And she was walking right past it to serve the 100 things that weren't. Say the refrain with me for the first time. Name the room.
Name the room.
Come on, say it loudly. Say it with all the brilliance you have. Name the room.
Name the room.
I want you to hold that phrase in your heart. I'll give it back to you before we are done because the second layer rewards attention and signals depth. Here's our own reading about this. Now let me go a little deeper for the ones still leaning in. So, Pastor, what are you talking about? Just listen, stay with me. I'm going to unpack this for you. Look at what each sister is doing with the same Jesus in the same house. Martha is working for him. Mary is simply with him. Now here is the quiet revelation that you should not miss. Don't miss this. Catch this. Catch this. You can spend your whole life working for God and never sit down long enough to be with him.
Amen.
You can serve the King and still be a stranger to him. Martha's hand was full of God's work and her heart was empty of God's presence. That's why Jesus says Mary chose that good part. Ah, don't miss this. Mary discovered that the point of was never the serving. The point was the one being served. Ah, I need to let that sink in. Because watch how Jesus reaches her in verse 41. He doesn't say, Martha, what is wrong with you? He says her name. But he says her name twice.
Martha.
Martha. Come on, Martha. When somebody says your name once, that's information. When somebody says your name twice, that's tenderness. That's the voice of somebody who loves you. kneeling to your level, trying to reach you before you hurt yourself. The very answer you're looking for is right there in front of you, and you can miss the moment pursuing tasks that has nothing to do with him.
Amen.
Somebody watching, watching right now needs to know this. God is not standing over your disappointment disappointedness. He's not standing at your disappointedness at how much you're carrying. No. He is saying your name twice, trying to get you to put what you're doing down.
Yes.
You're too busy. You may miss the very moment that God is trying to give you the wealth of the kingdom of heaven on which Pastor Keith was teaching, but you're too busy worried about a brand name.
That's right.
Ah, whether or not he's this preacher, and the very solution that God has given you is right there in Bowdoin, Georgia, but you, my friend, a word about a brand name.
Amen.
And you're missing your blessing. Many of you went through hell, but you made it. You got hungry, but you made it. Accumulation creates emotional lift. Ah, when you go through some things, boy, boy, you get lifted. You are motivated.
That's right.
But ours is built on this sermon's theme because I'm talking to some people who have been Martha for years. You've been strong so long people forgot to ask if you're okay. Oh, I'm talking to you. But you're still standing You're still standing. You're still making it. You're trying to be strong for your family. You've carried it so long you started calling the weight normal, but you're still standing. You served everybody and got thanked by nobody, but you're still standing. You prayed And worked and held it all together with both hands. And God still has a moment with your name on it. Hear me, it's not too late for you. You've not used up your moments. God does not need your circumstances to be perfect to hand you your moment.
Amen.
He just needs you to awaken That's right. Awake enough to see it. Don't miss your moment. Make room, open the door. Ours is a 4-step practice that survives translation and solitude. But I won't leave you moved and empty-handed this morning. Being moved Yes. Gets you off your seat this morning. You may say, man, this is resonating with me. A tool is what you reach for on Tuesday when the noise comes back in the house or in the car. So here it is, 4 steps, just 60 seconds. Any language, any country, if you're alone or in a crowd, You must name the room. Step number 1, stop the hands. Martha's trouble started in her hands. Interrupt what you're doing right now. One full minute, just put it down. Put it down. Stop what you're doing. Put it down.
Amen.
Just put it down. Step number two: name what's in the room. Ask out loud what is actually here right now that matters, that's more important than what I'm doing. The person, the door, the quiet voice you could walk right past is the voice of the Savior trying to give you the most perfect. moment in your life, the answer to all of your woes, the answer to all of the issues that your children are dealing with. Put it down so that you can hear the voice of the King. Step number 3, name the noise. Ask, what am I so busy doing with that That I have in my hand, that I could miss this moment where the Savior is trying to minister to me. Say it out loud, it shrinks the moment. You're missing the moment because the thing that you're doing, the task that you think so is, is so important, is shrinking the moment. It shrinks the moment. That you could miss your deliverance. Finally, step number 4, you must turn. Put one thing down. Turn toward one thing. You don't have to fix your whole life. God never called you to do that anyway. If you could do it, you wouldn't need a Savior. None of us would.
Amen.
Just turn your face toward the one thing that's needful, Martha. And don't wait for a crisis to learn this. You can't discern a moment you've never practiced seeing.
That's right.
Do it every morning, 60 seconds before the day fills the room with noise. Martha never built that type of muscle, that type of strength. that type of discipline. Mary did though. Mary would wake up at 2 in the morning and pray. She prepared herself, waiting for that moment. Don't be an unwise virgin that ran out of oil and you could miss the master. Don't miss your moment. Amen. Guess what? You can start today.
Amen.
This moment is for you. Let me give you a picture before I close. Ah, the silver bridge that God is giving— silver prophetically is a symbol of deliverance. Silver Because I want you to see the real image. This silver bridge, stress that collapses a structure slowly. It makes it the abstract danger physically. Many of us are a bridge to help other people cross.
Yes.
But it is dangerous.
Yes.
And realize that sometimes people are going to walk on you. They're going to walk on you. In order to get to their destiny, they've got to walk on you. But you don't become so distracted with your purpose that you miss the one that called you to your purpose. Let me give you this beautiful picture. At some point, God elevates you, and you can miss the very moment when Jesus speaks to you because you're too busy. You say, well, I got to be a bridge. I got to, I got to get there. I got to get ready for praise and worship. But do you give God his due time?
Yes.
Here it is. Martha opened the door to the Savior, the most important person in the room, but she's too busy serving the 100. Too busy serving. But the one you should serve is Jesus himself. There's a mother at the sink that's listening to me right now. Water is running, the radio is on, the hands are full. You said, I got to fix lunch for my children, I've got to prepare lunch for my husband, I've got to wash clothes, I got to do all these things. But are you too busy, and are you about to miss your moment, the very moment that God wants to bring deliverance and peace and stability in your home? Your hands are full. Your mind has 1,000 miles, 1,000 miles on it. Your mind has 1,000 miles. What do you mean? Because you traveled in your mind. You've not left the place physically, but your mind has 1,000 miles on it. Of where you got to go. I've got to be here. I got to be here. I got to be here. I got to be here. Your mind has 1,000 miles, and your mind is 1,000 miles away on everything that God wants to do in your life. And behind her in the doorway, a small voice Says, Mama, come see. She says, in a minute, baby. The voice says it again, Mama, come see. And she says it softly and tenderly, in a minute, baby. And then the voice stops. She finishes the dishes. She dries her hands. She turns around and the doorway is empty. The child has gone off to play alone. And the thing he wanted to show her, the moment is gone. It doesn't wait forever. The little boy wanted to show her something. Guess what? She missed the moment because she was too busy, Minister Ophelia.
Amen.
Washing dishes. The very moment that she could have spoken to her child's life prophetically. Maybe he was dealing with suicide ideations. Maybe he was dealing with vaping. Maybe she was dealing with peer pressure where some young man is trying to put unhealthy pressure on her, but she's too busy and she misses the moment to minister to her baby. Don't miss your moment.
Don't miss your moment.
And the voice stops, but the opportunity is gone. I want you to think about that. Church, some of us have been telling God, in a minute. In a minute, God. For years we've been telling God, In a minute. And the most dangerous thing about a moment is not that it screams, Pastor Keith, it's that it stops calling.
Aha.
You can't hear it anymore. The moment has passed. That's why Jesus said the one thing Mary chose shall not be taken away from her. Everything Martha made that day was gone by sundown, the meal eaten, the floor dirty again. But what Mary received at his feet, nobody could take away from her. The many things get taken, the one thing does not— the fact that Jesus gave her a word that was so profound that it changed her life indefinitely. So hear me, whatever you— hear me wherever you are. If you're watching us online, if you're watching this message here, hear me. You're not behind in time, and you're not disqualified because of your gender. because you've made mistakes, because you said the wrong thing, because you thought the wrong thing. No, no, no, no. You're not disqualified. You're not too far gone that God cannot touch you. You're simply somebody who has been carrying too much for too long.
Amen.
In too many rooms. And the thing you've been praying for, it may be closer than you think.
Yes.
Not in some distant country, not in some future season, in the room you're standing in right now. As I hasten to a close, you wonder and say, Lord, I don't have enough money. But have you ever thought about this? If I just put the dishes down, if I just turn the television off, if I just do that, if I just put down the PlayStation 5, if I just put down the Xbox, if I just give God just a few minutes of my time, if I— If I just turn off the football game, if I just turn off the FIFA event, if I just turn off the basketball game, if I just miss one of my child's Little League games and we all just make time for God, the issues will go away just in a few moments' time by spending Amen. Now I need to speak to the one person that may be watching us that's alone in their room. I'm talking now to the one that is watching this video. I don't know which country you're in. Maybe you're here in the United States. I don't know which time zone you're in or what room you're sitting in. Maybe you're in your living room. Maybe you're in your bedroom. Maybe you're watching us in your theater room. Maybe you're just watching this video and you're shopping right now. Stop right now. Just take a moment. Take a moment. Take a moment and just watch these next few seconds. Because the same Spirit The same Spirit that's on this video that you're watching right now is the same Spirit that's coming through your phone. And I want to say to you that this is your moment. If you obey God and give him the time that he so desires, God will reverse every situation that is taking place in your home. Any difficulty you're experiencing in your marriage. Any difficulty you're experiencing with your children. Just stop for a moment right there in that grocery store. God will bring deliverance. There's some of you that are dealing with health issues. If you would take the time to worship God, God will heal you from that cancer that you're dealing with, the, the cardiovascular issues that you're dealing with, the heart issues that you're dealing with. If you just take the time To not be so busy and worship him. He'll meet every single one of those needs. Our text in Luke chapter 10, verse 38. So here, here is your act of faith, and I want it to burn in your memory. Luke 10:38. Tonight before you sleep and every day this week at the same time, you're going to stop for 1 minute and name the room. But when you name the room, you need to do this not when it's convenient. Name the room. And while you name that room, you need to identify the thing that's in that room that's trying to take your affections away from God. From Jesus. And I need you to do this. I want you to be purposeful when you do this as a sign that you are done telling God in a minute. That small deliberate act is you opening the door the way Martha opened her door for Jesus. Put your hand Where you carry the stress. If it's in your chest, if it's in your shoulders, if it's in your stomach, if it's on your head, touch your head right now. Put your hand where you carry the stress. And say it out loud with me. The enemy of my moment is my own noise.
The enemy of my moment is my own noise.
Come on, say it with some strength. The enemy of my moment is my own noise. The enemy of my moment is my own noise. Today I put it down. Today I put it down. I open the door.
I open the door.
And the good part I choose will not be taken away from me.
And the good part I choose will not be taken away from me.
Give God a hand clap of praise. Now respond to God's promises because God is faithful. He's going to deal with you differently now that you understand that he's important. I'm not going to give you some type of scripture. I've just already given you the scripture. I've given you what you need. I've given you a prescription that's going to fix every single one of your problems. Many of you are dealing with stress that you should not even carry. Don't cast aside the vision that God has given you, because you are becoming what God needs you to become. Because I believe when you learn to name the room, God is going to open your eyes to see things you've been walking past for years. Business opportunities that you've been walking past. Books that you've— that you should be writing. You just didn't see that you were that gifted and that anointed and that talented. You're going to start catching moments you used to miss. You're going to become the person in your family, your job, your city who sees, who notices the one thing when everybody else is drowning in the many things. You're not going to miss the moment. God is about to make you— God's about to make your ordinary days holy. You will never look at a doorway the same way Amen. Now I need to give this invitation because God is already in the room. And if this word found you and you've been trying to carry it all alone, you don't have to anymore. This is your invitation that you just don't have to carry that burden anymore. it upon the Lord because God cares for you. You've got to seize your moment because God is still saying your name, not once but twice. He's saying it because there's purpose, divine purpose, that he is giving you that you need to operate in. God is saying your name twice. Jesus, thank you for not forgetting about me.
Amen.
Thank you for walking through the door of my life, because I want every single one of you that are watching, those that are listening, The good part is still waiting on you. It's not too late. And guess what? It will never be taken away from you. Never. Give God a hand clap of praise. I want to say this this morning. If you're If you're watching us in whichever country you're in, if you're in the United States, if you're watching us in Canada or in Europe or in Brazil, if you're watching us in Kenya, if you're watching us in South Africa or Morocco, wherever you're watching us from, if you're in Spain, make a decision today that you will commit your life to Jesus and not allow your moment to be stolen from you. And if you don't know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, this is your moment.
Yes.
This is the moment that you need to choose Jesus as your Lord and Savior. You can't allow this moment to be stolen from you. You can't allow the enemy to continue to take advantage of both you and your family. And if you know that you need to make that decision, don't wait. And if you're not sure, just pray this prayer with me. Say, Father, come into my heart. Lord Jesus, I believe and I know that you died for me. And after you died for me, you rose for me. You're seated on the right-hand side of the Father. Yes, I'm talking about you. Pray this prayer with me. Jesus, come into my heart. Jesus, save me today. I've done things that have not been pleasing to you. Jesus, I want you to save me. I've been wrong in the way that I've been thinking, the way that I've been speaking, the way that I've been living. Jesus, come into my heart and save me today. Father, redeem my life. Thank you for the blood that was poured out on Calvary. And Jesus, cast my wrongs, my sins, as far as the east Is from the west into the sea of forgetfulness. And if you prayed that prayer with me this morning, guess what? You're now born again. You are a member of the family of God. Thank you for making that decision. But guess what? It does not stop there. You need a place where you can be fed, where you can be nurtured, where you can be taught the Word of God that will continue to change your life. Because you know what? Sanctification is not a one-day thing. It is progressive. It is a daily, daily walk with the Lord. And here at 514 Grace Church, we believe that we are the church that can minister to you and your family, you and your loved ones. Your children. If you're looking for a church home again, consider 514 Grace Church. We know that the Word of God is here and God's presence is here more importantly. And God bless you and your family. We love you. We're praying for you. And we thank God for you. We're not done. This word is never finished. We're going to hit the pause button for here, for now. But next week, stay with us because God is going to finish what he started. And I want to say again, thank God to every single one of you that are following us, that, that like and support and share and comment. Thank you so much. We're so grateful. Tracy and I and the leaders of our church and our congregation, we are so grateful. We're a young church, but we're growing, and the things of God, and we're going to make an impact. We're going to shake this world for Jesus. We're going to make a mark that cannot be erased. And God bless you. We'll see you next time. God bless you and your family. Be sweet, okay? We love you in Jesus' name.
One name, one sound, who we call? Jesus, Jesus, Jesus. Who still reigns?
Jesus, Jesus.
We shout one name.
Jesus, Jesus.
Chains snap when we call that name. We lift one name. Jesus, Jesus. Hell backs up when we praise. We shout one name.
