In this sermon, the lead speaker (Speaker A) and a responsive participant (Speaker B) present a month‑long series on spiritual warfare, focusing on “The Battle for Information.” They argue that the enemy, Satan, is not omniscient but relies on gathering intelligence through two categories of demonic agents: monitoring spirits, which collect current, moment‑to‑moment data, and familiar spirits, which exploit long‑term, accumulated personal history. The teaching is illustrated with biblical case studies—Job’s hedge, Samson and Delilah’s exploitation of private disclosure, Herod’s collection of title, location, and timeline to target the infant Messiah, and the temptation of Jesus—showing how the devil’s devices operate and how God’s omniscience supersedes them. The sermon stresses the necessity of putting on the whole armor of God, maintaining vigilant prayer, guarding one’s access, and discerning who is allowed into one’s personal information. It contrasts God’s all‑knowing nature with Satan’s limited, strategic observation, urging believers to rely on divine instruction rather than personal intel. The message concludes with an altar call, an invitation to accept Christ, and a request for financial and volunteer support for the ministry’s outreach, including social‑media engagement and global evangelism goals.

This program is brought to you in part by the friends and partners of 514 Grace Ministries. Satan has no devices. That's not what he's saying. Paul says we must not be ignorant of them.
I'm a citizen of heaven, redeemed at Calvary. Kingdom authority, Jesus reigns eternally. Kingdom authority, hell cannot silence me. The risen Lamb has conquered, now the enemy must flee. I'm a citizen of heaven, washed and made completely free. Kingdom authority, all the glory belongs to thee. I do not beg the night to leave. I lift the name that demons fear. Jesus is the light of life, and when he speaks, the path is clear. His grace is my covering, his Spirit is my flame. Truth is on my tongue and there is power in his name. I'm seated with Christ, the serpent lies beneath. The cross has spoken, the tomb stands empty. I do not fight for victory, Christ won at Calvary. I stand upon his promises, his word is carrying me. We are citizens, citizens of heaven. Born of the Spirit, redeemed and forgiven. Amen.
We serve. Yes, what a mighty God we serve. Yes, yes, what a mighty God. Yes.
What a mighty God we serve.
We serve. Yes, what a mighty God we serve. Yes, yes. Father, we thank you this morning for your tangible presence. No weapon formed against us shall prosper. Every tongue that rise up in judgment, God, you shall condemn. Father, we thank you for your anointing upon our lives. We thank you, God, that you are God, and besides you there is no other. Father, we thank you for your magnificence, for your deliverance, for your people hearing your voice. And today, Lord God, let us not leave this place the same. Transform us.
Amen.
We thank you for the metamorphosis that is taking place internally inside every single one of us, Father God, that we know that we are changing into a new man, into a new person, into a new woman who you call, God, to fulfill your purpose and your calling. I thank you, God, for for the word of God that shall come forth today. Holy Spirit, speak through my vocal cords, think through my mind, all of you and none of me. And it's in Jesus' name we pray, and everyone said amen. Give God a hand clap of praise. This morning was very interesting. So I think this morning we, we, we learned, and it's interesting So you know when you're in the purpose and the will of God, particularly when you're going to teach a series of messages. This is not going to stop us because we're going to be teaching on spiritual warfare the entire month of September.
Amen.
So I just want it to be known, uh, right now. But when you teach a message where you're unveiling That which is real, because you do understand that which is not seen is real. That which is unseen created everything that we see now. And body of Christ, I don't teach this message to scare anyone. This is reality that we're dealing with. The enemy knows this, so. We must be prepared. The Bible says in Ephesians chapter 6, we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, spiritual wickedness in high places. We know this, so, and because we know this, we know how to fight the good fight of faith.
Amen.
Last week I was teaching on how the enemy attacks the mind not only of believers but unbelievers. So you can sit and pretend like there's nothing that is changing things or situations or circumstances in your life all you want to. Unfortunately, the enemy himself will disagree with you and tell you that you're wrong. Now, if you want to believe that he's not real, he wants you to believe that. The Bible says that he is the god of this world system, the governments, the systems of this world. He is in control because he co-opted the warrant of the possession or the governorship of planet Earth from Adam and Eve. They were tricked. He used sinister tactics. And guess what? He hasn't changed. And we're going to learn this today from the word of God. But if you want a title this morning, I want to title this message, The Battle for Information. Monitoring spirits, familiar spirits, and the strategy of the enemy. And if you want to write these anchor texts down, here they are before we get started. 2 Corinthians chapter 2, verse 11. 1 Peter chapter 5, verse 8. Ephesians chapter 6, verse 11. And I'm also going to be teaching from Matthew chapter 3 and Matthew chapter 4 as well. So if you're ready, I'm ready. I want you to realize that while we are believers There is a battle taking place around information. What is information but a strategy, a tactic that the enemy uses that he can control? He'll have information so he'll know when to strike.
Amen.
And we're going to teach on this this morning. Before the enemy attacks your strength, he studies your patterns, body of Christ. Before he applies pressure, he looks for an opening. Before he develops a trap, he searches for something he can use. He wants to know what God has spoken Over your life. He wants to know what you're building. He wants to know what you value most in life. He wants to know your greatest fears, what frightens you. He wants to know what frustrates you, what angers you, what triggers you. He wants to know who has Access to your life. He wants to know what causes you to react before you pray. Many believers think spiritual warfare begins when something dramatic happens. They think warfare begins when the doors close. They think relationship breakups are just happenstance. The money changes in your bank account, they think that's, uh, par for the course for those golf fans. The attack becomes visible and tangible in this realm, or the pressure becomes intense in your life. Are you listening to me?
Yes.
The enemy watches. Not only does he watch, but he listens. He studies. He records. He looks for repetition in your life. He waits for the right time. This is why Paul writes In 2 Corinthians chapter 2, verse 11, Pastor Keith, he writes this: lest Satan should get an advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices. Paul does not say Satan has no devices. That's not what he's saying. Paul says we must not be ignorant Of them. Them being the devices. The word devices points to schemes, purposes, designs, calculated intentions. The enemy is not random. He plans, he strategizes, he thinks strategically, he looks for advantage. And if Satan looks for advantage, the believer must refuse to live carelessly. And if Satan looks for these advantages, we must be prepared. The Bible says that we should put on the whole armor of God. And what is the purpose of armor except there be warfare? But the Bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood.
Right.
So our war is not against people, even though the enemy will use people as vices, as instruments. He did this in the Bible repeatedly. Paul does not say that the enemy does not have devices, because he does. He uses lies. He's sinister. He's a con artist. The Bible records in Ephesians chapter 6, verse 11, and I want you to read this while I read out loud. Put on the whole armor of God.
Why?
That ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Wiles are methods. Wiles are schemes. Wiles are planned approaches. Wiles are strategized attacks. The enemy changes his methodology. depending on the person that he is plotting against. He changes his methodology depending on the season, the weakness, and the information available to him. Somebody say intel. Intel. Intel is when information is being gathered to try to strategize and to determine how to best deal with this enemy. Now you realize that you are not a friend of the enemy. He calls you enemy. He says it publicly.
Yes.
So today we're going to examine monitoring spirits, familiar spirits, and the battle for information. We're going to see how Satan observed Job. We're going to see how the Philistines used Delilah to investigate and gather information on Samson. Delilah, who was an instrument of these unseen forces. We're going to see how Herod the Great gathered a title, a location, and a timeline to determine when and how he should best assassinate That's true. We're going to see how Hezekiah opened doors that wisdom should have kept closed. King Hezekiah. We're going to see how the tempter joined Jesus and revealed his identity, not only revealing his identity but attacking his vulnerability because it was visible Jesus was hungry. He had fasted 40 days and 40 nights. Then we're going to learn how to shut the door, break the patterns, guard the assignment, and stand in the authority of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Now I need you to know the difference between God's knowledge, body of Christ. Listen to me. I need you to know the difference between God's knowledge and Satan's observation over your life. Now I want to teach this slowly, accurately, and carefully. We must begin With a foundational truth. God is omniscient, meaning God is all-knowing. He knows everything, every detail, everything about humanity and creation. God knows all things. He does not investigate you to learn about you. He does not wait for you to speak before he knows your thoughts. He does not study your history to protect your future. Psalms 139:2 says, thou knowest my downsetting and mine uprising. Thou understandest my thought afar off. God knows all of these things. Matthew chapter 6, verse 8 says, your Father knows what you need before you ask him. God knows exactly what we need, Minister Ophelia, before we ask him. So if he's all-knowing and he's omniscient, that means that God does not have to gather information about you. God knows your beginning. He knows your end. He knows your motives, your wounds, your calling, and the finished work he intends to produce in your life. Satan is not God. Satan is a created being. He is not omniscient. He does not possess unlimited knowledge, so he works through ranks. He has a force that is organized, that is strategic, and method— and they use methodology to strike and attack. Therefore, the enemy works through observation. You want to write this down. The enemy works through observation, investigation, accusation, temptation, Repetition and experience. So yes, we have a battle that we are in. God knows because he's God. God knows all things. Satan gathers because he is limited.
Right.
Now I need that to sink in for a moment. We're going to take our time because we need to understand this. Spiritual warfare is real. Body of Christ, are you listening to me?
Yes.
I said spiritual warfare is real. Not just rebuking spirits, but you need to be in prayer. You need to guard your heart with all diligence. Revelation 20 speaks of books being opened and people being judged according to what was written. Heaven keeps a perfect record. God misses nothing.
Right.
But Satan must seek 1 Peter 5:8 says— listen to this. 1 Peter 5:8 says this: Be sober, be vigilant, because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour.
Amen.
Notice the language of this scripture. He talks— the writer talks about specific details that the enemy does. So we know he has legs because he walks. We know he has eyes because he's seeking. We know he has personage. And he has to have a body that the eyes are attached to, which means he has a skull or brain. We know he has a body for the legs to be attached to. We know he has personage or existence because he's seeking, which means that he has a brain and he's smart or intelligent. Notice the language. He walks about. He seeks, he looks, he examines, he searches for someone whose life presents an opportunity for him. The verse does not say he can devour everyone. That's not what it says. It says he is seeking opportunity for whom he may devour. The word may speaks of an opportunity, access, and permission to your life. He studies what makes one person angry. He studies what triggers a person immediately. He studies if you overeat when you're under stress.
Amen.
He studies what makes another person afraid. He studies what makes one person feel rejected. He studies how a person behaves when they are broken up in a relationship. He studies what causes another person to become proud and arrogant and egotistical. He studies what causes a person to become sinister and wicked. He studies what pulls you out of your character. He studies which voice carries too much influence over every single one of your decisions. He studies what worked against your family before you were even born. What triggers your family? Is there alcoholism? Is there substance abuse? Is there addictions that he can exploit? He studies the places where you keep repeating the same exact response. An unformed enemy searches for an opening. An unformed enemy, they search because they don't have the intel necessary to do what they need to do. So they search for an opening because they've not gathered information. They search for an opening.
Hmm.
But an informed enemy knows where to apply pressure in the situation. An informed enemy, because information is important to him. But information is not sovereignty. Satan is not sovereign. Observation is not ownership, because he observes The Bible says, whosoever is born of God, or whatsoever is born of God, overcometh the world. The enemy can study your life, but he does not control your God.
Hallelujah.
Now, I need to teach this clearly. Monitoring spirits and familiar spirits. Let us define the 2 operations we're addressing. Monitoring spirits watch present activity. Let me say that again. I said monitoring spirits watch present activity. Monitoring spirits watch present activity. They gather details about conversations, plans, Relationships, movement habits, reactions, strengths, and all of your vulnerabilities. Every single one of your vulnerabilities. Familiar spirits are more sinister. They are sinister. They are evil. Sinister. They are very sinister. Familiar spirits operate from established knowledge. They work with repeated patterns, longstanding access, family histories, unresolved wounds, habitual responses, and cycles that have continued across decades, across generations.
Perpetual generations.
Monitoring spirits collect current intelligence on you, current details, whereas familiar spirits exploit accumulated knowledge and information. They exploit it. Monitoring spirits want to know what you're doing Right now.
Right now.
Whether you find it difficult to get out of the bed to attend church, whether you'd rather stay home and eat barbecue potato chips, whether you'd just rather stay home and walk the pet, they record all of these details. Whether you want to go fishing on Sunday, As opposed to attending church. What do you like? What is his favorite color? What does he love watching on television? What does he say in his sleep? Record those details. What is he screaming when he awakes in the morning? Record every detail. Familiar spirits recognize what has repeatedly worked in every person's life before. This is why familiar spirits are more sinister and dangerous, Pastor Keith. They approach with a reference Yes. Point, Minister Tracy. They recognize the sound of an old wound. They recognize reaction that has never been disciplined at all. They recognize the appetite that has repeatedly overruled the word of God and the wisdom of God in your life. What does he desire? He loves them thin, short, tall. How does he like them? How does she like them? She loves them short, tall, maybe with a little meat on the bone. He does this because he understands that it overrules the wisdom of God and the Word of God in your life.
That's right.
They recognize the family conflict that keeps returning every single time. They recognize the cycle that changes names but never changes its outcome. The King James Bible uses the expression familiar spirits when warning Israel against the occult consultation that is recorded in Leviticus 19, verse 31. Listen at what it says. Regard not Them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards to be defiled by them. I am the Lord your God. The warning is clear and concise. God's people must never seek direction, knowledge, or supernatural access through forbidden spirits. In Acts 16, a young woman Possessed with a spirit of divination followed Paul and Silas. She spoke information about their identity and mission. She said they were the servants of the Most High. How did she know this? God who showed the way of salvation. How did she know this? She followed them for many days according to what the scripture says. She watched She repeated this every single day. She attached her voice to their movement. Then Paul turned and commanded the spirit to come out in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
The spirit possessed information about them, intricate details, but the name of Jesus possessed authority. The spirit recognized the servants of God But recognition did not give it the right to remain. The spirit followed them for days, but one command in the name of Jesus ended its operation. I need you to say this with me. Information does not equal authority. Everybody all over the room say this. Information does not equal authority. Say this. The name of Jesus is still above every name. Come on, everybody all over the room, say, the name of Jesus is still above every name. The name of Jesus is still above every name. Now here is the balance you must carry. You must remain aware without becoming afraid. You must practice discretion Without accusing everyone around you. You must establish boundaries without isolating yourself. You must recognize patterns without surrendering to them. I'm gonna pause right there because the purpose of this teaching is not to make you suspicious of every question. The purpose is to make you responsible for your access, your speech, your consecration, and your response. Job had an enemy. When we look at Job, the enemy saw something and recorded this information. Let us begin with Job chapter 1, verse 7. Let me read this for you. And the Lord said unto Satan, whence Comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord and said, from going to and fro in the earth and from walking up and down in it. There's 1 Peter 5:8 in the picture form right there. Satan was going to and fro. He was walking up and down. He was not inactive. He was moving through the earth and observing human lives. When God mentioned Job, Satan already knew the details about him. Job chapter 1, verse 10 records Satan's response. Hast not thou made an hedge about him and about his house and about all all that he hath on every side. Thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. How did Satan know about the hedge? How did he know Job's household was protected? How did he know the work of Job's hands were blessed? How did he know Job's possessions had increased? How Did he know these things? He had observed Job's life. He had examined the evidence in close proximity. He monitored him through monitoring spirits. He knew there was a barrier because he had encountered the barrier personally when he came in close proximity of Job. He couldn't go past the hedge that God placed about him, the same hedge that God places over your life and your family's life and my life. The enemy saw the hedge. He saw the house. He saw the blessings. He saw the possessions. He saw the covering of God over the life of Job's family. He saw the faithfulness. He saw the evidence of God's hand upon Job's life. But here is the shout in the text: he saw the hedge, but he could not cross it. Through monitoring spirits, he monitored Job, but he did not own Job. He gathered information through these same monitoring spirits, but he still had to answer to God. He desired access, but desire did not give him permission to touch what God had blessed. Tell someone near you, the enemy seized the hedge. Come on, everybody say, the enemy Seize the hedge.
Yes.
Yes. Some of you have become frightened because the enemy noticed your blessing. So, oh my goodness, he knows now. You thought being noticed meant being uncovered. You thought being attacked meant God had abandoned you. You thought pressure meant the hedge had disappeared. But Job teaches us that the enemy can recognize protection without possessing the authority to remove it. Oh, you're protected. I need you to know that you're protected. He can do nothing against you. Now, he may try to tamper with things in your life, but he can't touch you. And when God gets enough of this, God will check him because God has him on a long leash, and God will snatch that leash anytime he wants to. But Job teaches us that the enemy can recognize protection without possessing the authority to remove it. The hedge belongs to God. The limits belong to God. The final outcome belongs to God. Job's trial was severe. Yes, it was. But Satan did not write the final chapter. Job 42:10 says the Lord turned the captivity of Job and gave him twice as much as he had before. Job 42:10 says God turned the captivity and gave him God multiplied him. The enemy gathered information about Job's life, but he misread the strength of Job's relationship with God, Pastor.
Amen.
He misread the strength of Job's relationship with God. He saw possessions and assumed possessions were the foundation to Job's heart. He saw blessings and assumed The blessings was the reason for worshiping God. He saw the outcome of evidence, the outward evidence, but he did not understand. He did not understand God's purpose and God's purposes and callings in Job's life. He saw the outward evidence of God prospering Job's Yes, he saw all of these things. The enemy knows facts, but he does not know everything. He studies the surface, but God knows the heart. Here's another case study we must look at. Samson, when forced by Delilah— or did she really force him? Yes, she did. This, this is an interesting case, and I'm going to make a statement that will literally blow your mind. Samson, when, when he was tricked— let's say that the enemy used access. Now consider Samson. Judges 13 reveals that Samson was marked before birth for an assignment. He was a deliverer for the children of Israel. He was called to begin delivering Israel from the hand of the Philistines. The Spirit of the Lord moved upon him. His strength was unusual, superhuman, supernatural. His victories embarrassed the Philistines. The Philistines could not defeat Samson through direct confrontation. They could not outfight him. They could not outwit him. They could not overpower him. They could not restrain him through ordinary force. So they changed their strategy. When confrontation failed, they turned to investigation. When strength failed, they searched for information. They did not need to become stronger than Samson. They needed to learn how Samson can be weakened. Judges 16:5 says the Philistine rulers told Delilah, entice him. And she was an agent for monitoring spirits. Entice him and see wherein his great strength Goliath, and by what means we may prevail against him, that we may bind him to afflict him. Notice the assignment. This secret agent Delilah, who was being influenced by demonic forces, and they say to her, find the source of his strength, identify the method in which he's using to defeat us. Learn how to prevail against him. Discover how to bind him. Gather information for the purpose of defeating and afflicting him. Delilah was close enough to ask questions. Some people don't need access to your life, but you give access instead of using wisdom. Here's a perfect example. Delilah was close enough to ask questions that an enemy standing at a distance could never ask. She was close enough to watch Samson's face. She was close enough to hear the hesitation in his voice. She was close enough to recognize When he was withholding the truth, the full truth. She was close enough to apply emotional pressure over time to Samson. Access gave her information. Information gave the Philistines a strategy on how to defeat him. Delilah kept asking, Where does your strength come from, Samson? How can you be bound? How can you be subdued? Samson gave false answers. Every answer was tested. When Samson said fresh cords, the Philistines brought fresh cords. When Samson gave another method, they prepared according to what he had said. Every conversation produced a field test. Every disclosure moved the enemy closer and closer and closer until they could be close enough to strike. Samson should have recognized that every answer became an attack. This was not a game. When the thing you discussed privately keeps coming up publicly and pressure is being applied to your life publicly, you need discernment about who has access to your information. Judges 16:16 says Delilah pressed him daily with her words and urged him until his soul was vexed unto death. He was exhausted of the questions. Now, what's strange to me, body of Christ, women of God, men of God, leadership— what's strange to me is that Delilah gathered intel without even sleeping with Samson. She was really good at what she was doing. She was an agent, a secret agent. This was not just one question. This was sustained pressure, a full-court press. The enemy understands that if he cannot obtain the answer immediately, he can attempt to wear you down repeatedly. He keeps asking over and over again. What is your weakness?
Why—
can you tell me why would God walk away from you? What is the secret to make God walk away and lift his presence off your life? I'm your friend. I'm gonna pray for All lies. The enemy keeps pressing and pressing. He keeps returning to the same vulnerable conversation over and over again as these monitoring spirits are taking notes. He waits until you're tired of guarding what should remain protected— the presence of God upon your life. Finally, Samson told her all his heart. He'd exposed the private matter connected to his Nazarite consecration, people of God. His hair was the outward sign of a life set apart to God. The Lord was a source of his strength, and his consecration marked his covenant assignment with Jehovah God. Delilah knew The information was different this time. She contacted the Philistine rulers. They came with money. They came with a plan. They came prepared to act on what they had learned. While Samson slept, his hair was cut. Then came the painful words of Judges 16, verse 20. Listen at this. This is a resounding sound. And he wist not that the Lord was departed from him when he awakened. He didn't even know that God's presence had departed from his life when he woke up. Samson assumed yesterday's strength would cover today's compromise. He assumed he could keep playing with access and remain protected from its consequences. He assumed his gift would continue operating while his consecration kept eroding, but the enemy had learned through monitoring spirits where to target him. Samson's public strength was attacked through private disclosure. The enemy could not bind his hands until someone gained access to his heart. The enemy could not defeat his muscles, so he targeted his judgment. The enemy could not win on the battlefield, so he entered through a relationship. I need you to tell somebody, guard your access.
Guard your access.
I need you to say that again. Guard your access. Guard your access. Say this, everybody close to you is not in covenant with you. This does not mean you accuse everyone who asks you a question. It means you examine the fruit that's in their life. What is this person asking? Why do they need the answer? What have they done with sensitive information before? Do they protect your name when you are absent? Do they pray for your Purpose or compete with your progress? Do they correct you in love or collect details for conversation? Are they committed to your spiritual growth or fascinated by your weakness, so that they will know when to strike? Samson teaches us that spiritual power without spiritual judgment leaves an opening for the enemy. To tear down the purpose of God in your life. Here we go. Let's talk about Herod the Great. A title, a location. I'm going to hasten to a close. When Jesus was born, the enemy strategy involved gathering precise details. His monitoring spirits, these familiar spirits, gathering precise details. Matthew 2 says wise men came from the east to Jerusalem asking this. Matthew chapter 2. Where is he that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the east and are come to worship him. Their question disturbed King Herod. A king had been born. A prophecy was moving toward fulfillment. Something entered the earth that threatened Herod's false security. Herod began to collect information. First, he gathered a title. First, he gathered a title.
Ah.
The child was called the King of the Jews. Second, he gathered a location. And afterwards, he assembled the chief priests and scribes and demanded where Christ should be born. They answered, Bethlehem of Judea, according to the prophet Micah. Third, he gathered a timeline. Matthew chapter 2, verse 7 says, then Herod, when he had privately called the wise men, inquired of them diligently what time the star appeared. He gathered a title, he gathered a location, he gathered a time. Then he constructed a plan of destruction. Now you are aware that these people are agents. There is a force that is not seen, invisible, that is working all of these plans. Herod told the wise men to search diligently for the child and report back so he could worship also, which was a lie. His words sounded spiritual. His motive was murderous. His language was worship. His intention was warfare. He did not need the wise men to know his heart. He needed them to supply the missing information for these monitoring spirits to attack the Messiah. But God interrupted the chain. Matthew chapter 2, verse 12 says the wise men were warned by God in a dream not to return to Herod. Verse 13 says— Matthew chapter 2, verse 13 says Joseph was warned in a dream to take the young child and his mother and flee to Egypt. Herod had information. How did he— how did the enemy gain this information? Because monitoring spirits watch and They write and gather details. The star, the city, the location, the title. They wrote details, and then when it got back to the enemy, he said, "It's time to strike." God gave instruction. Herod created a timeline. God ordered a movement. Herod prepared an attack. God preserved the promise. I need you to say divine instruction defeats the enemy's information every single time. Divine instruction defeats the enemy's information every single time. Say it again. Divine instruction defeats the enemy's information every single time. Some protection arrives As instructions, you don't fully understand. You won't know every detail. This is why it's important for you to just obey. God tells you to stop talking, but you keep talking because of pride. Just like King Hezekiah exposed everything, and as a result, the the chest, the war chest. The people, the gold, the fine jewelry— all of these things were taken back to Babylon, and they were taken into captivity. God tells you to change the route, but you keep going this direction. So you don't quite understand it, but you go anyway. And as a result of this, you wonder why you had an accident or a collision that could have taken your life. God tells you to move before you know what danger is developing. He didn't give you every detail. You don't need every detail before you obey. Joseph did not debate the dream. He just obeyed. The wise men did not return to Herod for closure. They obeyed the warning by God. Obedience protects you in places where your information is limited and incomplete.
Amen.
Herod teaches us that the enemy gathers data to determine when and where to strike. Joseph teaches us that one word from God can change the trajectory, the promise beyond the reach and the strategy of the enemy. I'm done. Bow your heads. Father, I thank you in the name of Jesus for your glory. God, we understand that we're in spiritual warfare, that monitoring spirits are taking notes, writing down every detail. This is how the enemy knew how to attack Jesus in Matthew chapter 4, because in Matthew chapter 3 we see where the Son of God is declared publicly by his Father. And the enemy in Matthew chapter 4 says, if you are the Son of God— he also knew that Jesus was fasting 40 days and 40 nights— turn stones into bread. Father, we now know. Teach us how to govern our mouth. In Jesus' name I pray, amen. If you don't know Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, pray this prayer with me. Say, Father, come into my life. I repent of all the things I've done wrong. I repent of the sins, the lies, the sinister plots, the deals that I've made. The false accusations that I've listened to, the bad things that I've said about people. Please forgive me, Jesus. Come into my heart. Become my Savior. Save me, Father. Save me. Redeem my life. I believe that you died and rose on the third day, and because you died and rose on the third day, I can now be born again. Forgive me, Jesus. Become my Savior. In Jesus' name, you're now a member of the family of God. God bless you. I pray that these messages— this month of September, we're going to do a series of messages that's going to bless you.
