In this sermon, Harry Pitts explains that God intentionally moves believers through distinct seasons that may involve spiritual, emotional, or geographic shifts. He emphasizes that such transitions are not punishments but divinely appointed moves designed for greater purpose, deeper revelation, and increased fruitfulness. Pitts warns ministers against letting emotions dictate resistance, citing the Balaam‑Balak narrative to illustrate the folly of opposing God’s blessing. He grounds his message in Ecclesiastes 3:1, asserting that change follows a divine timetable, and stresses that discernment and obedience unlock acceleration toward God’s intended destiny.

There are seasons in the life of every believer when God intentionally moves you from one place to another. Now, it takes a very mature pastor to understand this. And God is moving you from one place to another, not merely geographically, but spiritually, and sometimes geographically, emotionally as well, and Your assignment-wise shifts also. These transitions are not punishment or disruptions. They are divinely appointed by God and for God's purpose. There's a purpose and a season in which God desires to shift and place lively stones however he may see fit. There are seasons where we mature as God repositions us and aligns us with what he is doing next. Now, it takes a mature minister to understand that God is shifting and moving. Now, this is the dangerous part when ministers get in their emotions and they say, you will not prosper if you leave this church. How dare you? This is not true. You're starting to sound like Balaam. When Balak asked Balaam, he said, how can we cause Israel to fall? Balaam's response to Balak is, you can't curse what God has blessed. What once sustained you You may no longer need at that place because God has another brook for you in your life, because God is preparing you for new responsibility, deeper revelation, and greater fruit. Discernment is required in every season. Hear me, discernment is required in every single Season, beloved, because resisting a God-ordained move can delay purpose while obedience unlocks— hear me— acceleration. Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verse 1. I love this chapter and verse because it says, to everything There is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven. Ah, the revelation is simple. This verse establishes that change is not random.
