Harry Pitts argues that holiness and the fruit of someone's life matter more than accurate predictions. A false prophet can speak true words, but Scripture demands testing every claim against the Bible and watching how people actually live.
Holiness is not optional. Holiness is not optional. It is in fact essential according to Leviticus chapter 9, verse 12— excuse me, Leviticus chapter 19, verse 2, and 1 Peter chapter 1, verse 16. Accuracy alone does not prove authenticity because even false prophets can speak true things according to Deuteronomy chapter 13, verses 1 through 5. The real test is fruit and faithfulness. The real test is fruit and faithfulness. Matthew chapter 7, verse 15 through 20 confirms this. And every prophetic word must— it must be tested and held accountable. No revelation ever stands above scripture according to 1 Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 20 through 21. Or 1 Corinthians 14:29, what does this mean for us today?
