Hey. Hey, guys. It is Kate McKibbon here and welcome to episode 11 of the Doing It Online podcast. Now, today I'm switching things up and we're going to do a Q and A style because I got asked an awesome question the other day, which is, is if I switched my course to Evergreen. Now, obviously I think I've been convincing some people that Evergreen is amazing, which it is. But the question was, if I switch my course to Evergreen, how do I still create great results for my clients? And this is such a great question, guys, and I really can't wait to dig into it with you right now. So I know this is something that a lot of people worry about because the thing is, you're a good person. You are an expert. You love what you do and you love your clients and you love helping them to get results. That's why you do what you do. You are not just in the business of making money, although some more would always be nice, right? But you need more time and you want to be able to help more people and you don't want to have to launch all the time because it is exhausting and it is stressful and it is no kind of life. So it makes sense that you would want to look into creating something more, leveraged into having a more evergreen offer, something that doesn't have that, you know, that doesn't need to be live, launch all the time, that doesn't have that sort of extra energy and time component required with that. And to be able to have an Evergreen offer, you need to have a program that is set up that people can be joining it at any time. So it's not just, you know, you have two live launches a year and everyone comes in at the same time and ends at the same time. It's a different kind of setup, but it can definitely still work and work really, really well. And there are thousands of examples of this out there. So let's dive into how to make it work for you and your program. So first of all, I want to caveat this all off with saying if you are saying to yourself right now, like if you, when you start thinking about Evergreen, you go, oh, but it wouldn't work with my program. It wouldn't work with what I teach. Because I have to work one on one with people or because people have to, you know, to go through it together to get a certain result. I need to stop you there and let you know that that there, that is self sabotage. That is a self limiting belief. That is absolutely not true because it's been proven again and again. If do it right, you know, your program has to, yes, be slightly different in the way it's delivered and we'll talk about that today. But that belief that you have to be the one delivering, that you have to be the one showing up in person, that you have to be the one, you know, giving you a time, whether it's one on one or through, you know, usually when you're doing a live program, there's going to be probably a lot more of a high touch kind of element to it. You know, that belief that that has to exist for people to get the outcome. It's just not true. That is just your fear at the back of your mind stopping you and telling you this. What's to be honest is total rubbish to keep you playing small, to stop you from stepping outside of your comfort zone and for trying something new. So let's talk about how you can potentially, if you're curious, possibly make some tweaks to how you run your program so that it still gets some great results. So first of all, usually one of the first things people need to do is to get out of their head of get out of this thinking that I have to do like a live call, you know, every week of an eight week program and explain to people what's happening in that week or otherwise they're not going to do it. No, you have to record a great video explaining people what happens in each week and allow them to kind of come in and work their way through it. The delivery, when you sort of peel it back, like when you're going to go to more of an evergreen style program, you then start looking at, okay, well what kind of touch points do people really need? Like yes, it's, you know, maybe it's nice to have these weekly calls for a certain amount of time and you can still do that. You can still launch a couple of times a year and run live rounds and you can even invite the people who've gone through Evergreen into them. But you know, for people to really, truly move through the program, you just gotta think about what, what do they really need, what touch points, like how much they really need. And for most kinds, most programs, that is usually just a Facebook group with either weekly, fortnightly or monthly, you know, Facebook live Q and A style calls into it. That's it. Because you can be answering people's questions, you know, regardless of what point they are throughout the program, all together in those calls. So think about that. So go. Okay, if I have got, if my program has got all the information people need, then support wise as far as getting their questions answered, you know, by having a Facebook group that either you, maybe you jump in and check and can respond every day or so maybe you get a VA to come and help you with those, or maybe you just have what they call office hours. If you don't want to be checking the Facebook group every day and they're like, okay, I have office hours once a week, half an hour, I jump in and answer everyone's questions. How exactly it's going to work best for you is up to you, but I bet it can 100% be more leveraged and be a much smaller time commitment than what you think. And you can still get people the great results because all they want to know is that someone cares, someone is listening, that we want to get the answers to their questions and that's it. They don't need all the questions to be about one particular topic each week. They're not going to get confused.

The other great thing Talking in Facebook groups, the other sort of difference I think the other thing that people worry about with a Facebook group when you go from sort of a live launch style to an Evergreen style is like, won't it be weird, you know, won't the energy be sort of different if people are kind of just, you know, dripping in like a couple each week rather than like 20 or 50 all at once. And the thing is, if that is how your group is set up to be, it actually can be really great. Because what it does is it actually kind of re injects every, every new person, they come in, they're fresh so they're excited. So it keeps this energy rolling. It also has the benefit of the fact that you've got people in currently in your Facebook group further along in the program than the new people. And quite often people are happy to, you know, to give feedback or to help people out when they ask questions that they themselves have already sort of learnt the answers to. So you kind of get this inbuilt support and this inbuilt community and it actually works really well. I would recommend if you're going to do, you know, a live launch that you probably have a separate group for that you, as I said, you can invite the people who have previously purchased on Evergreen into the live launch to go through it live as well as like an extra bonus that's going to always make people happy. But then, you know, you have that group, you run it live, you. You shut it down and the Evergreen group just kind of keeps rolling along in the background, that would be my recommendation for that. So don't worry about how if it's going to be weird in your Facebook group, don't worry about having to do, you know, weekly live calls and everyone being at the same point. Like, if you think about it really, when you're running a program, even if you are, you know, running a program that's dripped out week by week, by the time you get to week three or four, 50% of the people are behind anyway and that, you know, they're in week, you're in a week four call and they're asking week one questions. So it's really not any different. It's just making that simple switch in your head to you being okay with it. And then you'll see that, you know, most people coming in, this is, you know, this is, they know this is what they're signing up for. And as long as they get that great information, as long as they feel heard and seen and they get their questions answered, they're going to be really happy, they're going to thrive, they're going to get great results. But it doesn't have to stop there. I know again, a lot of people, there is a bit of a trend in our industry at the moment where people kind of go a little bit too far, the leveraged and hands off way. And, you know, you have perhaps seen that and that's why you feel a little bit icky about going to Evergreen because maybe you've bought a program before and you've got into it and you're like, it's just crickets. You're like, where's the support? No one's answering my questions. I feel like I'm one of thousands and all I've done is donated my money to this person and I'm not getting my value. You don't have to deliver a program like that. I'm going to talk about some other ways you can add some little extra pizzazz and little extra wow factor and extra little elements now. So we've covered off the Facebook group and your sort of basic core support. Next, an idea that I think can work really, really well. And this again, you'll know if your topic or your program needs this. But I know for some particular programs, a little bit of one on one or something like that, or a little bit of a face to face kind of touch point can be invaluable, particularly to certain people. And some clients, they want that they, and they are willing to pay extra for it or they're willing to act faster. To get that. So one idea which can work really well is if you, you know, to be able to, you know, to scale up to where you want. Doing one on ones is not for everyone. It's not going to work. But you can offer them to either people as a fast action bonus. So you can, if you're, you know, whatever your offer is, maybe it's like your early bird, maybe it's the first five people that purchase or in Evergreen speak it's the people you know, it's whoever purchases like on the webinar or you know, within a certain timeframe, they get an extra one on one or you can offer it as an upsell. So everyone who purchases then gets the option of like if they'd like to take it further, if they know that, you know, they might want some extra feedback at some point. If they're the kind of person who does like a little bit of, you know, extra handholding, they have the option of making another investment and purchasing themselves a one on one session. So that's a great way of still providing the one on one, providing that higher touch to the people that want it, but doing it in a much more leveraged in a much easier to scale way. Another great idea and I think I've seen work really, really well with some of my clients programs when they've switched it from being live to Evergreen is to have some sort of like fast start challenge built in at the start. So for like a health program perhaps it might be the first five days is a five day detox because it's, it's about, you know, you want to make sure you set up your program in such a way that people take that initial excitement they have from purchasing and that it carries on through even in an evergreen setting. So having these little mini challenges and then people can post in the group when they've completed it and other people can cheer them on even if they're at a different stage in the program. Having something like that built in or thinking about like what's the first main hurdle or the first main step that you want people to take, break it down to five easy chunks and have it for that first week. And you know, you'll see people, they, they kind of get addicted to the momentum and they get addicted to ticking things off and to you know, having those self pats on the back because they're achieving and that's going to help them to keep moving forward, keep that momentum going. And my final tip around, you know, how to tweak and change your structure and you only have to do it slightly. I promise to take your program from being something that is run live and works well live to something that can run Evergreen and work just as damn well is to go and do your research, go and find some programs that are running in a similar kind of fashion, don't even have to be in your niche, or they can if you want to be, but go find programs, similar investment that are more of the style that you're thinking that you might want to turn your program into and actually join them, go through them, see how they work, see which bits you like and which bits you don't. And you know, take the ones that you like and make them your own and add them into your program. See the areas you think that didn't work so well and think about how can I make sure that we do that bit better. And you know, I think sometimes there's so much power in actually going and experiencing something yourself as the learner and then being able to take that and you know, and implement what you've learned in that experience into making your own programs even better. So that's it, guys. How does that feel? For those of you who started this episode going, no, there is no way that my program could ever possibly run on Evergreen. Have I convinced you? If I have, let me know over on Instagram, tag me akemckibbon. I can't wait to hear. And if you know someone who you think might need a little convincing, be sure to share this episode with them.
