But better, easier, and with a ton more profit too. Are you ready? Let's do it.
Hello. Hello, everybody. It is Kate here from HelloFunnels Co and welcome to episode 22 of the Doing It Online podcast. Now, for any of our Northern Hemisphere listeners who saw this episode and are like, huh, what? Spring clean your business. It's fall, bitch. Just remember, we are in Australia. We are upside down in the opposite of you guys in pretty much everything. And it is actually spring here and it's in Australia. But even if it is not spring where you are, even if you're all about the pumpkin spice lattes right now, then you can still look at this as giving your business a bit of an end of year refresh. Because there's still still a few months to go, guys. Frighteningly, not as many as you would expect considering how quickly this year has gone. But you know, if you want to end the year with a bang, if you want to make sure you.
See your goals, kick those goals, really, really make the most of these last couple of months that you have, then I think it is so important to stop, take a second, get your head out of the busy work and do what, you know, what is the equivalent of a business spring clean, or what we like to call a momentum session, this is what we actually go through inside our momentum sessions inside Ecourse Empire, which we do once a quarter. Our next one is actually coming up next month, so in just a couple of weeks, actually, after this Goes is published. And what we do is we go through three really crucial things. And the purpose of these is to help you, like I said, to get you up out of that busy work, pop your CEO hat on to sit down and, you know, set your goals, reverse engineer what you need to do. You recalibrate. Because obviously we all set our big goals at the start of the year. And then things happen and things move and things shift and we got to be able to jump in there and recorrect as we go, pivot as needed to make sure that as you move through the year that you are successful, still on track to where you want to be, and to also make sure that this busy work that you're doing is the right busy work, that you are actually doing the tasks that need to be done, that you know you are doing, the marketing that needs to be done when it needs to be done, that you're focusing on the right things in the right order to get you the best results. There's three things that we really go through inside our Momentum workshop. The first of all is, the first one, sorry, is that we get everyone to reset their goals and their Financial Freedom Checkpoint. Now, if you don't know what the Financial Freedom Checkpoint is, if you're kind of new to our place here, the Financial Freedom Checkpoint is where we get you to calculate, like, what are your expenses? What is, you know, all of your business expenses, including paying yourself team, you know, all of your web costs, all of that stuff, plus taxes, plus a buffer. And the purpose of that Financial Freedom Checkpoint is that is what we like when people work with us when we help you to set up your funnels. That is one of our first goals for your funnels so that you will have that amount of revenue coming in every month on autopilot so that every month you know that everything is covered. You do not need to stress. And then any launches or promotions or whatever you do are on top. And then obviously, like, as your business grows, that number grows with it. That's first thing you need to do is sit down, figure out what your FFC is, Financial Freedom Checkpoint. And also figure out like, what are your goals for the next, you know, whatever period you sort of work in? We do 90 day sprints or for, you know, till the end of the year. Like what is a meaningful goal post for you? And sit down and figure out that number. The next thing is once you have that number in mind, it generally starts sparking off all of these things that you need to do. Now, as part of our process, we get, we have a couple of specific worksheets that we get our clients to go through to then really reverse engineer. Like, okay, exactly how many sales do I need to make and when? How does this all kind of come together? That's a little bit hard to demonstrate in a podcast. We'll skip over that one. But what I want you to do now is to grab a piece of paper and sit down and write down, just basically do a Big brain dump of all of the to dos and ideas that are currently swirling around in your head and taking up brain space. Because we kind of have to do like we need to spring clean our brain. I say roughly about every 60 to 90 days, which is why we get our clients to do it that often because it just builds up like all of the. We're constantly having ideas, guys, we are creative people. And also not just that, but it's also just the mental load of all the things that we're trying to remember to remember if we can get those down. And like usually what we get people do is dump them down onto a piece of paper and then kind of go through and with a highlighter even and go, okay, well that's kind of like life admin stuff. Like even if it's like make a doctor's appointment, make a dentist appointment, whatever it is, highlight that in one color and then just go pop it in your calendar or your diary so that you've got maybe one of those a week that you're going to tick off and get done. Or maybe you'll have a life admin day and you'll go through and tick them all off at once. Whatever works better for you. And then maybe these are just some like great ideas for little fixes that you've got. Create inside whatever your task management tool, whether it's Asana or we use ClickUp or Trello, whatever you use. Find a section that is updates or ideas and just write them all down. Put an approximate date on them as well. If it's something you think is really urgent, important. But the important thing is that we get it out of your head and then we get it somewhere that has a date on it. You know, it's don't have to worry about it being forgotten. It's there. And then if it's just like sparkly ideas that you think might be cool to do later, pop that in another section, call it the Sparkly Ideas folder and then just come back to it when you have this capacity and see how many of those ideas are still quite as sparkly. But that's the second thing that you need to do now from this. Sometimes people can get quite overwhelmed. They go, oh my gosh, I have so many things now. I've just realized how many things I need to do. This all feels a bit impossible. What do I do first? Well, this is actually why we created our Playbooks inside Ecourse Empire. For all of our Ecourse Empire clients at each Momentum session, we get them to identify like what kind of where are they at? What, what are their big obstacles? What are their big goals right now? And then from that there is a playbook to match. And inside that playbook there is step by step guide of what they need to do next. Whether you know, it's someone who's just right at the start getting started, they don't have a list yet, or it's somebody who is needing a influx of sales because maybe they're a bit behind their goals or for whatever reason and they just want to really focus on getting some sales momentum. Maybe it's somebody who's wanting to scale their premium offer. Like, you know, every different phase of business obviously has different things you need to be focusing on, but it also has lots of different distractions that kind of get in the way and create this busy work and that stop us from doing what we need to be doing. That's why we have these playbooks, you guys, unless you're in Ecourse Empire, of course, you're obviously welcome to come and jump in and join us, our next cohort. Doors close on the 27th, so don't miss out. Just head to ecoursempire.com if you want to come and join us for our next momentum retreat. Get all your planning done and obviously unlock your playbook and your step by step action plan. But if you're not with us, then what I would recommend doing is looking at all of these tasks and just trying to figure out like which is the one that's going to move me closest and hopefully you'll be able to pick, you know, to just brush away a lot of the clutter and just focus on those important ones next. The third thing to do, and that is again something I would recommend you do roughly every quarter, roughly every 90 days, is looking at all of these tasks and try to outsource at least five hours a week worth of them. We actually just did this as a bonus challenge inside Ecourse Empire this last month, which was our free up five hours challenge. And I personally, I think it's such an amazing sort of process to go through as a business owner, no matter what stage you are at, because we're always adding things to our own plates, which means we always need to be then removing things from the plate so the plate doesn't break. So if you think about it this way, if you can try and free up even just three to five hours every 90 days, that is up to 20 hours freed up a year. And if you keep doing that, it means you're pretty much Replacing yourself within two years. And just imagine the different types of work. Like imagine the amount of growth, imagine all of that good stuff that you could have if you were consistently handing things off of your plate. And of course there is, you know, it can be scary to do if you're only getting started. Of course there is, you know, definitely considerations around cost and expense. But you know, five hours a week is generally not something that's completely out of reach. Depending on the times of tasks that you are outsourcing and usually at the start you can outsource them in a quite inexpensive way. And then you build up and then that five hours you then get back, you get to reinvest back in your business, grow it further, increase your revenue, increase your sales and then therefore increase the amount that you can then afford to invest in your next five hours. And that's how you know, you end up with an amazing team and a big massive, you know, big scalable kicking all your goals business. As I mentioned guys, three things that I really recommend you stop and do roughly every quarter as resetting your goals and reverse engineering how you're going to do them, doing a big brain dump, getting that stuff all scheduled out, making sure you then identify the actual steps you need to be doing next that are going to move you towards your goals. And then three, trying to get to outsource and get that five hours off your plate. And if you want some help with any of this, guys, if you want someone to step you through all of this to give you templates, email, scripts, everything that you need as a step by step action plans, that is exactly what we do inside Ecourse Empire. Our applications for this next cohort do close on the 27th, so head to ecosempire.com get your application in. Hopefully we'll see you inside very soon. Otherwise guys, make sure you are back here same time next week for another episode. It's going to be a goodie. Can't wait to share it with you then and have a great week. Keep doing what you do and I'll see you online. Bye.
