Hello. Hello lovelies. It is Kate McKibben here from HelloFinals co. And welcome to episode number 27 of the Doing It Online podcast. Now, in case you've been living under a rock or you're not a subscriber and so you haven't seen the last two episodes, you may have missed that we're actually bang in the middle of a special five part plan out your most epic year yet. Many sewed see series. Yes, that is a mouthful. I'm terrible at coming up with short and snappy names. So today is actually day three. So if you haven't already listened to days one and two, I recommend you go back and check them out. Everything's going to make a lot more sense if you do. They're kind of designed to be worked through in order, but if you have congrats, I hope you're feeling good. I hope those numbers that you've sat down and in those goals that you figured out and that plan for next year that's starting to take shape is starting to feel really good and really exciting. Exciting. So. And if it is, well, then the next step, which is what today is all about, is taking those goals and turning them into plans and making sure those plans actually happen. And what do I mean by this? I mean it's time to go and put them in your calendar people. So today is really more of a, you know, go and get it done style episode. It's very, very short and sweet. But you know, there's a few steps to making sure that you nail even this, even though it probably seems it seems simple. So first of all, where are you going to put it? Well, the tool you use is really what makes the most sense for you personally. We use ClickUp. ClickUp is our task management software and it's also our calendar. It. That's one of the things I love about it. One of the reasons we switched to it from Asana was that you it actually syncs with our calendar so that we can see, you know, when we plan things out. And ClickUp, it shows up in our calendar as well. So I find that extremely valuable. So we use ClickUp as any task management Asana Trello, they're all great. If you want to just put it straight into a calendar, that works as well. If you want to go the good old pen and paper route, whatever is going to work most for you, whatever is going to mean that when you are sitting down and looking at the months coming up, when you're planning things out, when you're mapping out, you know, your day to day tasks and jobs, that you are going to be able to see this. You know, it's going to stay front of mind and it's going to make sure that you sort of sticking to and keeping up with these plans that you are now creating. So first of all, choose your tool and go and start mapping it out. So as I said, the task today is literally to go and take those launches that you had planned and put them into your calendar. And there's a few more bits to it than that. So first of all, you want to go and figure out obviously put in the actual launch period. So if you're going to be running a challenge or something, you know, pop that in. If you're going to your open cart, I would put that in as well. I normally like to do them as a separate event. So I can see, you know, Monday to Friday we're running this challenge, then cart opens the following Tuesday or however you're going to do it again, it just makes it a lot clearer. And as it's better to sort of sit down and do this planning now, it's going to make it much, much easier when it comes time to actually implement as well. So map out the key parts of your launches. If you're still like, I don't know what kind of launch I'm going to do yet, then just highlight two weeks and call it, and say launch product X and call it a day, that's fine as well. I also recommend that you map out some time before the launch to actually be dedicated to setting everything up and to promoting the launch and things like that. Because again, this can get away from us. And it's just as important to have that time clear and already mapped out. And also don't forget to on the other side of it, if whatever the offer is that you're promoting, if it has a live element that you have to deliver, make sure you map that out as well. And the reason I think this is really important is because then if you take, you know, if you scroll out, zoom out on whatever tool you're using and are able to take, you know, step back, back and take a look at it, and see how this all feels. Because these sections that you're mapping out, they're going to be probably quite intense. High energy, high output required sections. And if you don't thrive well having a lot of those, then you don't want to be putting too many of them in your calendar. So, you know, this is all about, I said creating a year that yes, is going to be an epic year for you. That yes, it's going to help you to really kick some goals. But also I'm all about making sure that people do it in a way that serves them. That's going to be enjoyable. At the end of the day, it's about finding that balance of yes, hustle is required. Anyone who tells you it's not, well, I don't know what they're smoking. There is always times where there's going to be hustle. But the key is that it's not always that they're just moments in time that they're deliberate sections of like going, okay, these next couple weeks can be busy and we're going to stick our head down and we're going to put our bum up, we're just going to go. And then you also need the time of rest in between or you need to start getting more deliberate about the way that you're setting up your business so that those times of hustle are less or they're less intense or they're shorter. And there's lots of ways you can do that. We've talked about, you know, how to make your launches feel almost like funnels. That's one of my new obsessions, to be honest. Obviously, funnels helps you to do that by spending, you know, spending that time hustling to get the, you know, the funnel created, the asset created and rolling. And then, you know, then it allows for a lot more ease and a lot more flow in your business. So sit down, map those out, take that step back sense. Check it. Step one.
Hey, it's Kate here and I've got a bit of a super nerdy present just for you. It's my six figure course calculator. Inside it shows you exactly the impact that growing your list, creating a course and going evergreen can have on your business and exactly how quickly you'll be able to do it too. It's pretty powerful and totally free. Just head to hellofunnels co calculator and grab it now totally for free. And then jump in and start mapping out your own epic six figure course empire today.
Step number two is to go and get double check that you haven't planned anything around key dates. So I'm talking about, you know, think about the, the main countries where your people reside. Think about your target market and the types of year, times of year for them that where maybe they are away from their computer or they're just really, really busy. So if you target mums, school holidays may or may not, depending on your topic and again your target market. But they may be terrible times of year to have things because they're just flat out looking after their kids as well. Or they may be great because they're sort of looking for inspiration or they're looking for something to do that's not with their kids. So you know, it's, it's again, it's about sense checking it. So make sure you've got those dates then in there like school holidays, public holidays, religious holidays. And don't just do your part of the world if you have clients, like if you're online, you probably have clients all around the world. Make sure you think about the other key countries as well and map them out also. Next and you, and you may, once you've done that, you may need to start shifting some of those original launch dates. Some people like to do this the other way around. I like to get the launches in first and then shuffle them rather than trying to put everything else in first and then the launches. But you know, if it makes more sense, if you feel better doing it the other way, do it the other way. I am not married to this process. So the third thing you need to map out, and this is super important and this is why I personally like to do the launches first because I think it sort of shows where there are gaps and where maybe there needs to be more gaps. But I want you to schedule in some downtime for yourself. I want you to schedule in your holidays, I want you to schedule in some planning days. So personally, my business goes on four monthly cycles, but everyone I know has their own different cycles, usually based around how often you're launching and things like that. So map out days where you get to be away from the office or even if it's half a day, put them in the calendar, otherwise they just don't happen. And these are things that you know are going to help you in your business, you know, are important. They're probably on the, I'll get around to them one days. Now is the time if you're wanting to make this year your most epic one yet, to make sure they're in the calendar now. So if you're wanting to every quarter or every month have a day or half a day or an afternoon or a lunch break away from you know where you go and you sit somewhere nice and you have a beautiful cup of tea and some lovely biscuits and you sit down there with post it notes and you plan some stuff out or you check in on your goals or whatever it is. Put that in the calendar now. That's otherwise it won't happen. So that's really it for today guys. It's really like I said, this is much more of a getting it done style Doing It Online episode, so I'm going to stop rambling on. As I said, if you haven't listened to episodes one and two and you're kind of wondering what I'm talking about, go back check them out now.
