Hello, guys, it is Kate here from hellofunnels, and welcome back to the Doing It Online podcast. Today, I am talking end of year. I am talking what the heck do we do to hit our goals? If you have found that you're looking at your numbers and you're like, I know I need to do something to get me closer to my goal for the end of the year, or maybe you've smashed your goals and you're like, hey, I just want to keep on riding that high. I have got four great ideas for you for how you can sneak sneak in one last little promotion to get another little bump of awesome sales before the end of this calendar year. So you ready? Let's dive right on it.
Okay, guys, before we dive in, can I just quickly just have a second to say, what the hell? How is it the end of the year? Okay, now I've got that out of the way. Let's dive in to the tactics, to the strategies, so the things you can actually go and do, because that's what we're all about here at Doing It Online, stuff you can actually do in your online business. So number one, number one strategy, tactic, whatever you want to call it, that you can go and roll out pretty quickly, which you're going to have to do because it is nearly the end of the year. To get another little boost of sales before the end of the year is to go in to pick one of your online programs. If you're like me, you have many of them, but maybe pick one of the ones that, you know, it's a couple of years old now and it's probably in need of a bit of a refresh. And what I want you to do, well, you've got two choices. We'll discuss them both. But if there's only, like a couple of small things you can do for a refresh, like maybe it's rerecord just a couple of the lessons, maybe give the look and feel a bit of a refresh. You know, change some of the fonts and colors in your workbook. Whatever that's going to work for you is to go do just a little mini refresh and then you are going to go and promote this new and improved version. I know that's grammatically incorrect. You cannot be both new and improved, but you're going to go and promote this new and improved version to. To your list with a live round. So what I mean by live round is particularly for those of you who are funnel nerds like us, normally your programs are evergreen which means people can come in and go through them, starting at any time and working at their own pace. But there's something kind of special about running a live round, even for an Evergreen program. And all you have to do is maybe you have a couple of extra calls. Everyone starts at the same time so they kind of get that little extra excitement, excitement, that extra FOMO that kind of pushes them through. And it can be really helpful even for Evergreen programs to do this once or twice a year for those people who just need that extra accountability, that extra community. So that's number one. You're going to do a little mini refresh of your program and then as I said, go out there, promote it. You can keep it simple, just do a webinar, do an email, launch, whatever works best for you. But say, hey guys, we're going to be doing a live round now, one tp. And this is kind of like the second way of doing it is because we are coming up to the end of the year. Just be careful with your start times. So you can sell this now and promote this now. But I probably recommend again, it depends on your market that you start it in January. So it's like jump in, buy now, save your place for the live round. But we're kicking things off mid Jan because a lot of people are going to be away or busy over the holiday season. So the second little tip I want to add in for this particular strategy, if you're like, oh, but hang on, it's going to take me way too much time to do this update and this refresh is that if you are setting your start date into January, it's going to give you a few extra weeks to do that as well and you can actually then drip out the new content as people go through it. So they might be starting in mid January and it's an eight week program, which means that you've got probably three months to get it all done from now. So yes, you can definitely fit that in. So that is idea number one. Refresh with a live round. It's a really good combo. Next is to sit back. I probably recommend going and sitting in a cafe with a really nice couple of something delicious and having a brainstorm to come up with how this is going to work for you. Maybe grab a fellow business bestie to do it. But I want you to think of what is some kind of VIP experience that you can create for your existing and previous customers and clients. So something again you can go and offer. And maybe it's a one day Live workshop or a planning session or something you can do, maybe usually group, but maybe it makes sense for you to offer a couple of one to one sessions or something to help people either finish off the year or start next year. Right? So think about this and then you're going to run what we call a VIP promotion, which is a little mini promotion sequence that you only send to your customers. So if you're worried about right now, it's busy, people are getting a lot of emails. There's all Cyber Monday, Black Friday, all that stuff going on, all the end of year, holiday season, Christmas, Hanukkah, all this. Like, you know, there's so many emails happening. If you're not wanting to just be adding to the noise, then doing a more targeted campaign for your existing customers. Like first of all, your existing customers, as long as you have provided a good service, they're going to be more likely to open, they're going to be more likely to be excited to hear from you, even with that all that extra noise. So try and keep it simple. I'm not talking about creating a whole new online course right now, although if that works for you, do that too. But just having something that you can offer just to those clients, what we would call like a VIP launch or a secret launch can be really, really powerful and potent, particularly if you link it in with the end of the year. Which brings me to strategy number three. Coming up with some kind of either something to end the year or to start the new year for your clients, which everyone is going to feel most valuable, most powerful. And this can work for all kinds of different topics, different niches. It's pretty straightforward and simple. If it's business, maybe it's helping people with planning, helping people to set their goals. But same goes for health, same goes for, even for hobbies. Think about it, what is something that people are either like, maybe there's a goal that they wanted to have hit by the end of the year. Can you do a mini workshop to help them hit that goal or to help them set themselves up to hit that goal next year. So I hope that's getting some ideas percolating. There's 101 different ways of doing that. But the reason why I recommend and you know, suggest that we do it as some kind of live workshop and that can be live online workshop or hey, do it in person, if that works better for you, is because you're not having to then go away and create this whole other program. You can obviously structure out what you're going to teach, create some slides. But it's going to be a simple thing for you to create that's still really valuable. And because of the seasonality of it, it's going to have extra bang for your buck as well. Now, final thing, I would love everybody to get done and to have ticked off by the end of their year. Like, if every single person listening to this podcast could do this one thing and let me know when you have, because I'm not a mind reader, that would be amazing because of the number of businesses and lives it would change is I would love everybody to set up a funnel. Now, why is this a thing that can help you get a boost of sales and help you to hit your goals by the end of the year? Well, a few different reasons. Number one is because once it's set up, first of all, it's going to be something that as you're doing your list building, as you're doing your content creation, as you're doing the stuff that you're already doing, driving people to your email list, you're then going to convert a certain percentage of those people pretty much immediately, usually within seven to ten days, into customers. So that's going to start bringing in sales in a more regular, reliable way. Plus, it's going to be able to do that throughout the holiday season, even if you're taking time off, and I hope you are all taking time off. Rest is super important. So when you're not out there actively promoting, you're not out there creating content, showing up, doing the normal things, this little machine is working for you in the background. And then the third reason why I think it's so brilliant and important to do this before the end of the year is because when you get around just sitting down and working out your goals and setting yourself up for success for next year, you now have a new line item, which is funnel sales. And you can, using a couple of really simple Google sheets, formulas or Excel formulas, actually predict pretty accurately how many sales you'll get from your funnel. Therefore, how much revenue you'll get from your funnel based on how many leads you normally get in and your ad spend. All that stuff, like, you can actually model this out and that's going to add this extra layer to your planning next year as well as usually extra like six figures in income. So both of those things are going to help you to be set up for so much success next year, to have your best year yet. So that's it, guys. That's the four things that I recommend. I don't remember you trying to do all of them. I know most people are a bit tired. That's why I tried to come up with ideas that are fast to implement but super effective. So number one, refresh and relaunch a live round of one of your best selling courses or programs. Number two create a VIP experience just for your existing customers and launch just to them with a VIP or a secret launch. Number three come up with some kind of either end of year or you know, kickstart your new year style live workshop and promote the pants off that. And then number four, of course my favorite, add a funnel and then start to see all the benefits of living that funnel life. So anyway guys, I hope this has been useful. I hope this has given you at least one little light bulb moment and something that is implementable that you can go away, add to your business and get you a bunch more sales. If that is, make sure you let us know in the comments below or hit us up over on Instagram at hellofunnels. We love love love hearing from you, but otherwise guys, have an amazing rest of your week. I hope you're having an even better end of year and I will see you all next week. For the next episode.
