What if I told you that you could run Facebook ads that get a three times roas? That stands for return ad spend to a low ticket super cheap offer. And you don't need to be an ads expert to do it. In fact, you could have your VA manage the whole thing in about 30 minutes a week. I know that sounds too good to be true, but stick with me because I'm going to show you exactly how we're doing it right now in our business. Hey there. I'm Kate McKibben from HelloFunnels. CO. I'm your host today and welcome to the Doing It Online podcast. Welcome. Today, I'm going to tell you something that might sound a bit controversial. Facebook ads have never been easier than they are right now, right here in 2026. And I know, I know everyone's got an opinion on Facebook ads, but here's the thing. I've been running ads online in some form since about 2010, all right? So for over 15 years now. And I've seen strategies come and go, in and out of fashion. I've seen the platform change a million times. And I also want to be upfront with you. I personally choose to run a business model that's more reliant on paid ads than on organic traffic. That's the lesser evil to me because they all have their pros and cons. They all have moments where they're unreliable. But paid ads are the method I've always felt the most in control of. That's when we be able to grow the quickest, be more profitable. And that's my preferred method. So I'm telling you that, because I want you to know where I'm coming from, that this isn't just theory. This is what we're actually doing in our business right now. And it is working really, really well. So let's dive in. All right, so at the end of last year, there was a lot of chatter going on, a lot of people talking about big shifts and changes in Facebook ads once again. And we were seeing it too. For almost 12 months, we'd been running really successfully a lead magnet style Facebook ad. So it goes to a lead magnet into our double payday email sequence. We're getting great results. Thousands of people on our email list every month. The ads were covering their own costs. These people going to our other funnels, it was all wonderful. But towards the end of the year, we noticed the quality of people coming through was dropping, the conversion rates were dropping, and at the same time, we were hearing a lot of people Talking about and drummer to this Andromeda that now I'm a big believer, and this is important, so make sure you hear this. I'm a big believer that whatever your platform of choice is, however you're getting your traffic, whether you're doing it organically or whether you're doing it through paid ads, when changes are made to that platform, you need to listen to and embrace them, even if they're inconvenient, even if it means that you have to change things about how you're, you know, changing things about your offers or your ads or your own content strategies. You kind of have to go with them if you want to win on a platform. So you need to know the rules and you need to give the platform what they want. That is just social media platform 101 trying to push back. It just never works well for anyone. It's just frustration and a waste of time. So what I was hearing about these Andromeda changes was that Facebook was now preferring and rewarding two things. So number one was a short a timeframe as possible to get the most valuable conversion. So rather than sending people to a lead magnet through an email sequence, and maybe they buy in the next five to seven days, which is what we've been doing, could you just send them direct to the offer? Basically cut out the middleman, because if you can, you could get better results. And I think part of that might be because it's gotten more difficult for Facebook to track people across different devices and over different amounts of time now. So it can't really tell when it's winning, when it can't track things properly, and when it sends someone direct to something, it's tracking is actually quite accurate. We've been doing our own numbers side by side, and it's like 90 to 95% accurate inside Facebook now, which, again, is kind of unheard of. Number two, Facebook was also really loving having as big as possible an audience to play in. Gone are the days of having really dialed in niches within interests and lookalikes and all of that stuff. Facebook just wanted a really big pond to play in, which means that, and this is the key here, which means it's not just about broadening your audience. You also potentially have to broaden your offer so that the offer you are sending this broader audience of people to, it has to be irresistible, as always, but it also has to appeal to people probably slightly outside side of what would traditionally be your target market, because otherwise that niche, that audience, would be too small. And our current setup, like what we were doing last year and offer it was really designed to be specific to the ideal client of our more premium programs, which is a smaller niche. And the new playbook Facebook came out with their new way to win is that it kind of wanted us to go broader. And I talked about this in our last episode as well. So, because I'm a big believer in testing things, I'm not just going to jump because I read like a single article, but I was seeing the same thing often enough that I was like, okay, there is a pattern here, and let's try it out, because I know what happens when you don't. So I decided to test it. Now, I also just want to say that previous to this, we had someone else managing our ads. We were paying them a few thousand dollars a month to manage our ads, and they were. They were good. All right, I'm not going to take anything away from them. But in this instance, when I'm testing something new, like a new structure, a new type of offer, I generally prefer to test it myself first before handing it over, because I want to see, first of all, that it does work, and I really want to learn why. Okay, so I decided to once again bring our ads back in house for this testing phase. And to be honest, I was shocked by what I discovered. Okay, what I discovered was two things, and I don't even know which one to lead with because they both really blew me away. So, number one was our testing campaign got instant conversions and crazy roas, like the highest roas we've ever had for any of our offers in our market. Okay, so our initial testing campaign was doing on average about three times roas, but some days as much as five to six. And this is to a low ticket offer in an extremely expensive niche. And I want to add that this was also done at the end of November, start of December, one of the most expensive times of year to be testing out ads. But I've never been known for my patience. I didn't want to wait till January to try this out. So that in itself blew me away. Like, I went into going, if we can just break even, I'll be happy. Because this is an expensive time of year, and the fact that we were coming out, like, super profitable was insane. Then. Second thing was, the ads were so damn easy to set up and manage. So my original plan was that I would do the testing, make sure everything works, make sure the strategy works, make sure the funnel works. Right? And because that's what I've always done, and if it did my plan would be to then hand it over to someone else. Because scaling and all of that stuff with Facebook ads, it's always been something that's just been way too time consuming, way too finicky, and I don't want to have to do that. That's not my zone of genius. But the thing is with this new way that Facebook is running the ads, then the campaigns, the scaling, all the setup kind of stuff, as long as you know the rules. And it took us a few weeks to figure them out. But it has actually never been simpler to run a successful and profitable campaign. And you do not need to pay thousands of dollars a month anymore to a Facebook ads expert to run your ads. You could literally have your VA do it or just do it yourself. So a quick note is we're actually going to be running a in depth training on exactly how to do this inside our coaching program. So if you're already one of our coaching program clients, go and check the calendar inside the hq. Make sure you add it to your calendar. You do not want to miss out on this. If you can't come live, don't worry, we will send you the replay. And if you're not inside one of our current coaching programs and you would like to go through this training as well as letting us help you with refining your offers, automating your sales, setting up your funnels and helping you to scale them, then DM me on Instagram at hellofunnels and we can chat about the options that make sense for you. But back to the ads now. So the thing that really struck me about how the ads are working now is that it's really just knowing the right rules and the right rhythm for it. And the rhythm is just like having this checklist that you follow every week. And if you follow this checklist, it's honestly so simple and it would be hard to go wrong. So let me tell you what this checklist looks like. Okay, here's how it works. So once you've got this set up, once you sit down and you create your content for the week, right, which is we're all doing as part of that content, you are now going to create at least three piece of content that can be used as ads. And I'm not one for making extra work for work sake. So if you're already creating things like reels or posts for Instagram, then just make sure at least three of those, or maybe you have something that you can tweak slightly so it's a version of them. Can be reused as ads because you're going to need to be testing three to five new ads a week. That's quite key to being able to scale your ads with this new system. It's really all about the creatives, but we're already creating creatives, right? So this isn't a huge extra task, but that's the most time consuming bit. So what you're going to do is you start with what's called a testing campaign. So you create your testing campaign. And in that testing campaign, you are testing as at 3 to 5 ads over a week. And then the winners from these tests, they get moved into your scaling campaign. So here's the sequence that you follow. You're gonna end up with two campaigns. One is a testing campaign, one is the scaling campaign. And then every week you create those three to five new ads. Again, we do this as part of our content. You can, or you can batch them monthly if you prefer. But what they use is step one, step start of the week, you go in and you set up, you test those three to five new ads in your testing campaign and you run them for a few days. Then step two, you have your checklist of benchmarks to compare them to. And these will all vary slightly for every offer or niche. But once you have that checklist in place and you know what that, like what the rules are to kind of have that those numbers and benchmarks, then it's so simple, you just look at the ads and you're like, yep, this is a good ad. This one is not a good ad. Turn off the ones that aren't good and the winners get upgraded. So that's step three. You take those winners at the end of the week, you upgrade them into your scaling campaign. And when you do that, you're able to slightly increase the budget and you just do that on repeat week after week after week. Not so difficult, right? No weird black magic Facebook voodoo required at all. And the final piece is once a week you're going to jump into your scaling campaign and you can do these kind of at the same time, right? And you're going to look at the ads inside the scaling campaign and again you're just going to grab your checklist and go. Which are the ones that are still working? Which is the ones that aren't. Turn off the ones that aren't. Leave the ones that are working on. That's it. Rinse and repeat. So however long it takes you to create those three to five posts, which you're going to be already at least doing Some of them in your normal content planning. Right. So maybe that plus 20 minutes to set up the testing campaigns each week, but maybe less because you're really just duplicating them and swapping some creatives in and out. So it's very simple, it's very quick. And then the final step, looking at the ads. You know, we've actually created our own report and we're going to be sharing that report with our coaching clients, which just makes it dead easy to see which ones are working. And it kind of means you don't need any of those expensive tracking tools like Hiros or anything like that, which I think is a massive win. And that's going to save you hundreds of dollars every month. Just there. But yeah, you can look at your screen or you can pop your numbers into this report. You can even get your VA to do it for you. And then you look at it for a minute or two and you jump in and you turn a few ads off and then the rest you leave. It is literally the simplest it has ever been to run ads. In fact, it's almost boring. And it's also, if you get it right, the most profitable it has ever been as well. And that's all because we're doing what Facebook wants us to do. So here's the thing. I truly see this as an opportunity. And when we see opportunities like this, we grab them and we grab them right away. Because algorithms change, platforms change. This may not be the same case in six months or 12 months time. So let's jump in now because we know, and we've seen it before, when a change happens on the platform, the ones who reap the best reward, get the biggest bump in sales in growth, are the ones who jump in early. And so you want to jump on this now? Look, I'm going to be sharing a bit more about this over the next couple of episodes, so make sure you come back next week and listen. And if you want us to to help you with this, if you want to go through our step by step training, you need to come and join us inside of our amazing coaching programs. Inside, we're going to be able to walk you through exactly how to set this up, show you the benchmarks, give you the reports, help you get your ads running profitably.
