If you're looking at it from a perspective of, okay, well, how quickly could this program pay for itself with one to two clients? Really, you know, like it's not that much of an investment when you look at the return that you will be able to have and how quickly you'll be able to have it.
This is the Doing It Online podcast with your host, serial entrepreneur, 6 and 7 figure funnel strategist and super nerd Kate McKibben. Where every week we're here talking nerdy, sharing the things that actually work to help you do what you do online. But better, easier and with a ton more profit too. Are you ready? Let's do it.
Hello, hello guys, it is Kate here from hellofunnels Co and welcome to episode number 68 of the Doing It Online podcast. And today we have a special Q and A episode dedicated to all things Funnel Pro. Now, I have been having so much fun this last few days reading all the amazing applications, welcoming into our little cohort some truly awesome humans, some super nerds and you know, like I see nerd as a positive attribute, guys. So I say that with 100%, with love. But amazing, amazing, amazing people coming in, joining us and filling up the spots. We only have 25 spots for this cohort. It is a live round. It is going to be really, really hands on support. So we have to make sure we have a hard stop on that number and they spots are filling up fast. We only have at the recording of this a handful left, so they may all be gone by the time this goes out. I don't know. So if you've been sitting on the fence about joining us inside the the Funnel Pro certification program, maybe click pause right now, head on over to be a Funnel Pro com, get your application in ASAP and then sit by your laptop or your phone and wait for your approval. We are trying to get on them as quickly as we can. I mean we may be asleep when you send it through, so just bear that in mind. But if we're awake, it shouldn't take more than an hour or so to get your response back. And then you want to jump in, you'll be sent a limited time only invitation. Jump in, claim that. Make sure you get one of those last.
But for those of you who are like, oh, I think I want to, I'm not sure, I got some questions. That is what this episode is about. We're going to go through all of those questions. If we don't answer your question, you know, you can email us, you can head on over to hellofunnels on Instagram DM us. We are there to answer your questions as well. We want to make sure you know this is the right program for you. Without further ado, let's dive on into the questions. Question number one is what do you recommend as the best tech to start learning funnels on? This is a really great question and this is one that we actually spent quite a bit of time deliberating on. Like we, there's so many programs out there, they all have their own pros and cons, some more than others. And when we were coming up for the curriculum for Funnel Pro, because we want to make sure that people who come through this program, that they really, really get the chance to go deep and really understand something inside and out. Like understand the tech that we teach them as well as you understand your phone. Like it's just like second nature. Because sort of it's when you're at that level that stops you from making silly mistakes. It means everything's so much quicker. And it means that you can then start to play with some of the more complicated, fun stuff as well. So we want to make sure that that was the outcome for people and you can't do that if you're trying to learn too many different pieces of tech. So in the end we merit narrowed it down to two that we recommend as the starting point, both for people in our program and just in general. And there's a few reasons for that. Firstly, these two, these two software, they're just great. They're really solid and stable. They're very like, they'll always be some glitches here and there, but they, on the scheme of things, they're on the very, the lower end of the scale. They have great support. They're actively being updated and progressed and adding new features all the time, which again is important. Some of the ones out there, they just haven't added features for so long and you're like, what are you doing? What are you doing? This is, this is Internet marketing. Things are constantly evolving and changing. You gotta, you know, you gotta keep up people. Um, the other thing which I thought was really important when recommending a starting place is that there wasn't too steep of a learning curve. You don't wanna come in and just be so overwhelmed with how crazy complicated something is that it's almost off putting. So that, that immediately crossed out a couple of them. You may know which ones I'm talking to. And the other thing, the third factor that we thought was really important was how many people of this are the ideal client? Like, if you're going to be someone who wants to build funnels and sell, you know, offer that as a service, you need to know who is the ideal client. Like, who is the person who currently is looking for that service, who values that service, who is willing to invest in that service at a level that makes sense, that makes sense for you and for them, that it's equal exchange. And also who's going to get a benefit from having a funnel, Like a really clear, immediate benefit, which means that you have a happy client who is probably going to come back and say, actually, can you make me another one? Like, you can have repeat business. They're going to recommend you to all these friends. So tick, tick, tick. All of that came down to two pieces of software that we recommend as your starting point. And these are email automation software. There's also going to be countdown timers, so you might need, you'll need a dead to know how to use deadline funnel, different shopping carts, things like that. And those are more piecemeal and you'll probably learn them based on what your client has. But as far as learning the logic and really how that all comes together, when I think of, you know, funnel tech, I think of the email piece, the email software because it's, it is the backbone of the funnel. It's the piece that moves people through and you know, says that this happens if this or this doesn't happen and they wait here and then this action triggers like, it's, that's what I think of as the core piece of tech you need to learn. Now that I've rambled on about all of that. The two that I recommend, of course, activecampaign, that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Everyone knows I love ActiveCampaign and the other one is ConvertKit, because they are both in my eyes, fairly similar, fairly like for like. And it just seems to be a bit of a personal preference, almost like an iPhone versus Samsung kind of thing. Some people just will love one and will hate, you know, will never be able to understand the other. It just doesn't feel right to them. And you're never going to convince either party of the two. But as a person building funnels, you're going to kind of have to be bi software lingual, if that's a word. I know it's not, but let's make it one. So that's the first question. Next question. If I am a funnel pro, what will my hourly rate be able to be? This Again is a really great question. I love that you're already thinking about like how this is going to pay off and how quickly this can pay off for you. Thing is, as a funnel pro is one of the things we're going to teach you. Like we're going to show you how to, you know, actually package up your offers and the pricing and, and that you can, how much you can price things out and all that kind of jazz. But as a funnel pro, we would be really encouraging you to step away from the hourly rate kind of model and move into a premium package model. You are now a pro. You are not a by the hour kind of person. Okay, I know there's anything wrong with that. And, and maybe you will offer up little bundles of time for people who, you know, as a little add on if they want a bit of extra help with some strategy or, or fixing up something that's sort of maybe out of scope. But the bulk of the work that you will do will be packages. We agreed upon pricing, agreed upon scopes and for those prices there's we in the program, we go through the three different tiers of funnels and the types of funnels that kind of fall into each. But the, the lower end here and really you're not going to get many of these. These are actually less common than the higher tiers. The lower end tier is between 500 to $1,000 for implementation and like for the complete funnel. And then the higher tier, two and a half to $5,000 for those funnels. And they are probably going to actually be your bread and butter. That'd probably be the most common things you will be booking. And as you get more experience and as you sort of maybe find your own little niche and things like that, you actually can go beyond that. So that is just sort of the range that we teach for people coming out and starting out as a funnel pro. So really if you're looking at it from a perspective of okay, well how quickly could, you know, this program pay for itself with one to two clients? Really, you know, like it's not that much of an investment when you look at the return that you will be able to have and how quickly you'll be able to have it once you start to book these programs out there in the real world? Next question is what do you recommend to do if you have built a funnel for someone, but it doesn't work. So again, great question and first of all, I want a little caveat here just to backtrack everything again. One of the goals of this program of Funnel Pro, of becoming certified of upskilling and coming in and learning. All the stuff we're going to teach you is that you are going to understand the strategy, not just the how to make the different tech talk to each other. You need to understand both. You need to have the tech skills and the strategy. And with that strategy, you're going to be able to advise your clients on what is going to work best for them and for their offers. However, having said that, the responsibility for a client to make sales is actually never on you. It is on the client. The one thing I love about funnels is that they have really clear benchmarks and milestones that you want and really clear ways of seeing if the funnel works. However, even the best funnel, the one that's smashing all of those milestones and benchmarks, it will never be able to sell a crappy product. So if, and even crappy product might be a bit harsh, but a product that doesn't convert, or a product that is not set up to convert in an evergreen fashion. So this is again why we teach this. And we have a whole module really dedicated to how you can make sure you go and look at a client's offer, get the, get them to give you the information you need to know if their offer is even ready for a funnel, if it's even going to work in a funnel, and help them to then project out. Well, what does that look like? What does success look at like with this current setup and with your current offer, how it is and be able to advise them on some easy tweaks they can make to make their offers, which perhaps performing well live also perform just as well in an evergreen setting. And as far as what to do if, you know, if you've created a funnel and it isn't working well, hopefully you've gone through these steps in the first place and you've made sure the offer is going to work before you've set up the funnel and you've built the funnel in the order that will teach you to again, make sure that all the pieces are working. But sometimes it happens, sometimes there is a hole in the funnel. And again, this is why we have specific troubleshooting checklists and guides for each of the pieces of the funnel so that you can easily sit down, look at the stats of each piece. We actually have a little auditing dashboard for you where you can pop the numbers in and it'll kind of flag areas of concern. And then we have the advice of, okay, this is looking a little bit Low. This could be because of a, B or C. Go and have a look. Go and check it out. Usually my advice with around funnels that don't work is first of all, don't build them in a way that doesn't work in the first place. Make sure everything works first. But if that, you know, if you have built something out and it's. It isn't performing how it should, you need to know, you need to be able to go through and just treat it like a car that's broken down. Start from the front, work your way through the key pieces and go. Okay, well, is this bit working? Yes. All right, well, that's fine. The engine's working. Okay, is there a flat tire? Let's check those. And it's just a bit of an auditing process that again will become second nature after you've done it for a while, after you're really familiar with, with what the different numbers are and what they should be. And then you'll be able to easily see and easily spot those kind of key places where you might need to tweak or change things as well. Yeah, that would be my best advice for what to do if you've built a funnel or if someone comes through the funnel and it's not working. Next question is, what is the difference between eCourseMmpire and Funnel Pro? It's a great question. I know some people out there who are kind of going, oh, I'm not really sure which way to go. What's going to be right for my business? The simplest way to explain it is ecoursempire is for someone whose business is online courses or coaching and they're wanting to learn how to set these up and scale these and automate these for themselves. Funnel Pro is for people who want to be able to offer funnel creation, funnel strategy, end to end Funnel Pro services for other people. So if you're wanting to create the funnels or if you're wanting to learn the marketing to market your own products, and those products are coaches, so courses or coaching offers, then Ecourse Empire is for you. And that is true whether you have your course ready or not. We can help you with both. We have two streams, so you can jump into whichever one is best for you. Funnel Pro. And sometimes there's overlap, like some people do both. So if you're. It'd be like, which is probably the. If you're tossing up between the two. If you're like, well, I need my own funnels and I want to be able to do funnels for Other people, then I would probably still recommend Funnel Pro because you're going to learn all the funnels we teach people in a course empire, which we teach from a DIY perspective. You'll learn inside Funnel Pro, but again with a different lens, with a how to do this for your clients, how to make sure that it's not just something that's going to work for you, but they can work for a whole range of niches, whole range of offers, how to sort of really set this up in a systemized automat made it way, how to streamline this, offer it as a really good service. And as part of that, we have it baked in that we're going to show you how to create your own funnel, your own client acquisition funnel, as well as part of the certification. So you'll come out at the end knowing how to do these funnels really, really well. And also having your own funnel because your funnel is your digital calling card. If you build funnels, just like if you are a website designer, your website needs to be amazing. If you build funnels, your funnel needs to be amazing. If you haven't listened to last week's episode, actually we talk, give you a bit of an overview of the first three steps of that funnel so you can go and have a bit of a listen. But yeah, that would be. If you want to build funnels for other people, go Funnel Pro. If you're wanting to build funnels for yourself, Ecospire. So hopefully that clears that up. Next question, what are the benefits of actually getting a certification versus a regular course? Well, and this is something that I've had to learn a lot about and spend a lot of time in and get a lot of my own sort of coaching and consulting on to make sure that we do this right. But the difference about just a course you don't like, there's no expectation of completion or level of completion. Like you go through it at your own pace. And the outcome of that course is that it's going to improve something in your life or your business. Right? Like that's the objective of the person creating that program, is that it's going to be as easy as possible for you to get through and to get that objective certification is very different. The way that the curriculum is set up, the way that we have to teach things is very different because the objective of this is that you come out with increased knowledge, increased skills, with being able to go out and put this into place. Being able to go out and say, hey, I'm certified, I'm there for at a certain level of skill and have people see that little stamp that says this person's certified and know, all right, well, I know this person has invested time. I know this person has actually been tested and graded and come back at a certain level and therefore I'm going to be able to trust this person a bit better. It's not someone who's just maybe, you know, kind of googling their way through this and kind of guessing as they go. That's the difference between a course and a certification is the way the level of skill, the way that it's taught and the fact that at the end you are actually, you have to actually do tests. You have to. And again, we've tried to make sure that we find the right balance there because no one likes to do tests. Right. So we want to make sure that the. We built in very practical assessments into Funnel Pro, for example, like setting up your own funnel so that we can still make sure that, you know, you're ticking that level of skill as you go through, that you're getting that practical experience as you go through, but you know, without having to do like a big two hour multiple guest exam or something at the end. All right, next question says, I think the program sounds great. I love it for my VA to be certified. Can I organize this through your program again? Yes, absolutely. Like this is one of the opportunities that's out there if you have someone on your team. Like again, maybe it's your VA or someone who's helping you out with some other parts of your marketing or admin or customer service even, and you would love to help to upskill them within your team and help grow them as part of your organization rather than going out and getting a third party to come in and do this for you. You absolutely. We can organize for a team member to go through the certification. What I would just recommend that you do is get them to apply because we need to see their details. And then once they're accepted, they can obviously, you know, you can coordinate amongst yourselves to get them to sign up and they can send you the link to complete the payment. It is a really, really great way, I think. And we do this in our team as well. If there is a program or something that one of my team members wants to be able to take. So it's going to help to increase their skill, which therefore helps to improve how they're performing and increase your range of jobs and tasks and things that they can do for us. We're always more than happy to look at Helping to fund this for them because it's a win win for everybody. So highly recommend that you do that and absolutely able to help you facilitate that as well. And if you've got any questions, please feel free. Like I said, DM us or you can email us at helpellofunnels. Co. Alright, next question up is what is the time commitment each week and will I be able to fit this in around the holiday? So great question. And we had to juggle this a little bit. We have actually got a built in semester break over the holidays. It's just under three weeks. The way that the program works is it's got three sections. So you're going to do the first two sections this side of Christmas and then the third section will be in the new year like I said, with just under a three week break in between. So you've got plenty of time to chill with your family, relax or even catch up if you want to. If you've fallen a little bit behind and things have been a little bit crazy in December, as we know that they can be. As far as time commitment, it does, it's not the same each week because the way again that the modules work is we're going to have a couple of weeks where we're going to be teaching you things and then we're going to have an implementation week where you're going to be going out and actually building something. You can usually expect, I'd say minimum of two hours a week. Some weeks may be a little bit less, some might be a bit more, but that would be your average. But don't worry, we have built in breaks and catch ups and everything like that. You've got plenty of time to keep on top of this and to get everything done. Next question, quick one is when does it start? It starts on October 26th in Aussie time. So it'll start on the 26th for us, 25th for most people, so Tuesday for us, Monday for most other people. Last question is I'm already a certified launch manager. Will this also help me? So I think this again is a really great question because if you're already a certified launch manager, you, you already know how beneficial it is to be certified, to have gone through that process, to have that extra level of skill and also that little bit of social proof, that little tick of like hey yes, I know what I'm doing. I've actually invested in making sure I'm really good at this. Which I think is such a, you know, from a client perspective it always is nice to have that little extra bit of trust and to see that this is a person who cares, this is a person who's making sure that they know they can be as good as possible and is going to give me a really great outcome where this works. If you're already a launch manager or doing any other, maybe you do Facebook ads, maybe you do some other part of the online digital marketing mix. If you're wanting to be able to have this more holistic kind of digital marketing offering, be able to offer end to end services, be able to help to guide your clients to have both launches and funnels that are working because they, they do work better when they've been set up to work together. And I've seen this from both sides, both launches and funnels. Like if you are doing launches and you have a funnel that's set up to support your launches both before and after the launches, generally do better. And if you do have funnels and you then you know you have your launches set up to support those funnels as well, it becomes this sort of like little infinite loop of them all helping each other out. You can like to have that knowledge on both end of the scales. Like both really intimately know how launches do and should work. And the real deep dive on the strategy with those as well as the funnels and the automated and then how they work together. I can't see why that wouldn't be a good thing to offer. Your client would yes, a hundred percent recommend that if you are wanting to, to step up those offers further, offer that, that bigger range of services that would be really, really beneficial. So now guys, if you have, that's all the questions I have here, but if you do have any more guys, like I said, you can hit us up at hellofunnels on Instagram. We, my team and I are waiting to answer them for you. Otherwise you just head over right now to beafinalpro.com and apply. We will be processing your application as quick as we can, usually in just a few hours. Then if you're accepted, and we still have places available, which we may not, so do not delay if you're thinking about doing this, make sure you get into it. You'll be sent a special 72 hour invitation and then you want to make sure, like I said, you want to jump on that right away, nab yourself one of those last spots and that's it, you'll be in, you'll be ready to roll when classes start on October 26th. And I am so excited to dive and to start helping you showing you the ways of the Funnel Pro from then. So until then guys, like I said, any questions, let us know. Otherwise, we'll see you back here, same time, same channel for another episode next week. Bye.
