Hinesh Chauhan speaks directly about self-compassion, especially for neurodivergent entrepreneurs who may feel misunderstood or pressured. Drawing on a conversation with a fellow designer/brand strategist, he urges patience, enjoying the present, balancing doing with recovery (e.g., nature walks, rest, movement, mindfulness), and warns that excessive self-pressure undermines progress and happiness. Central message: be kinder to yourself and enjoy the passage of time.

You. Let's talk self compassion. Had a really meaningful conversation yesterday with a fellow neurodivergent entrepreneur where we hit the wall at times. We have struggles. It's probably not understood, not seen by others, probably only the positive attributes of what we do in our quote unquote superpower in doing things more deeply. He's a designer, a brand strategist who had a really good reminder for me which I wanted to share with everyone out there is to be more self compassionate is to be patient, to enjoy the journey, enjoy the present and to more more being and less doing. And don't put the pressure on yourself that you probably do put on yourself where you have greater expectations or you feel you're not doing enough, not getting the right things done. The reality is it'll get done. It will get done. And we probably need is to step away and spend some time in recovery, whatever that looks like for you, getting out, nature, going for a walk, whatever it is, don't just and it could be sitting on the couch and watching Netflix. Just it's got to be a mix of the positive things where movement and mindfulness is part of it. So be nicer to yourself. Realize that that's a process and you'll get there. And the more pressure you put on yourself and the harder you are on yourself, the less chance there is you'll get there. So enjoy it. Because if you're all thinking that I will be happy when I do this or get this or achieve something, you just won't be happy. It's about enjoying the passage of time.
