First Client Meeting with Sean! Vlog 4 | Hishem Azzouz

Hishem Azzouz meets with recruiting leader Sean Anderson about why firms struggle to invest in their own brands. Sean compares building a strong recruiting business to hiring a personal trainer: everyone wants results, but few want to pay for real work. They discuss using an integrated CRM to track branding and placements across all channels.

So, just had my first potential new client meeting with this guy, Sean Anderson. I really enjoyed it actually. It was really interesting to listen to recruiting business problems and how we potentially solve them, add value, etc. I mean, Sean is going to be the person I'm going to learn a lot from, which is why it excites me. I mean, Sean, what would you say is so far, most common problem that you're hearing, or the most thing that you've heard from these meetings?
Uh, people don't understand necessarily what goes into creating a brand or trying to achieve, like, to get to the results. They all, they all know the odd, the other businesses that are doing well.
Yeah.
Um, but they're, and they all want to be there, every single one of them wants that. But when you, when you break down exactly what it might take, then they're a little bit hesitant. It's like I mentioned today in the meeting about going to the gym. Yeah, everyone knows the benefits of having like a personal trainer for 12 months. Yeah, but when they're told exactly what it will take and how much they'll spend, the results straight away become secondary to the fact that exactly they've actually got to do something, they've got to spend some money. It's basically that. But give us 2 years and everyone will be on it. So it's at the moment it's about who's got the first mover advantage and who's the, um, who are the innovators in the marketplace.
Exactly. One thing that I found super interesting, I'm eating there. Okay, cool. Is Do they have a CRM for their internal? That's crazy.
We've worked out a way in which through our branding we can solve not only the fact that they've got no brand and producing content, but we can actually— the CRM we use acts as an internal recruitment CRM as well.
Yeah, yeah. So that sort of thing's absolutely amazing. So it gives you full visibility of everything we do on the website. What's going on. Exactly, yeah, yeah.
Right through to the placement. You can see everything and how your website's performing, how your content's performing, how your social performing, um, or not performing, which is, uh, equally as important.
Wicked. Well, first of many, and, um, good work, mate. I'm impressed. I'm looking forward to learning more.
I've had people in a first meeting that don't say anything. It's definitely not a shrinking violet.
Definitely, definitely.
