A forward action is when a prospect agrees to a future follow-up after you contact them. It's not a booked meeting, but a committed touchpoint you can measure. More forward actions means more meetings booked.
We call them forward actions. Have you heard of that term before? No. A forward action would be, I've called a client and he or she has said, appreciate your approach, we're not hiring right now, give me a call in August, potentially we've got a conversation there to have, right? I want to agree to me calling you back beginning of August, you're happy to take my call. He or she says yes, forward action. That's a good thing to measure. Yeah, I haven't closed the deal or anything, you haven't booked the meeting, but it's something to follow up on. And the more forward actions that I create, the more meetings I'm going to book. It's about working backwards, basically. The meeting— the job I want to win is a meeting booked, then it's a forward action, and then it's a conversation.
