The speaker realized they needed seven hours of sleep nightly for their brain to work well. They used to wake early for the gym while staying up late to work, but flipped the priority. Now sleep comes first, and they say they're noticeably more effective during the day.
Yeah, I've got much better at this, to be honest. Prioritizing sleep. I need at least 7 hours. If I get less than that, my brain's not functioning as well throughout the day. So I've tried to prioritize sleep over a lot of things because I get up and I go to gym in the morning. I used to prioritize that. It'd be going to train in the morning instead of sleep. So say if I went to bed a little bit later and I was working a little bit later, I still get up for the gym because I'm like prioritizing the gym. It's flipped out. Whereas I'd prioritize sleep and just do a short workout and I just feel much more, way more effective. Trying to get as much sleep as possible, deep sleep. And yeah, it's worked.
