A recruiter argues the industry is saturated with generic pitches and CV spam. Real differentiation means becoming a partner: taking responsibility for results, providing measurable value, and actually relieving clients of recruitment work instead of just sending resumes.

I hate being called a recruiter. The reason I say that is because I see myself more as a partner rather than a recruiter. Staffing services is just your boring contract, permanent, contract to hire. Anyone can do that. And every Tom, Dick, and Harry selling them solutions. Clients are bored of recruiters now. Clients are getting called by tens and tens of recruiters every single day, every single week with the same pitch. But the way you make yourself different is by pushing yourself to be more of a partner and adding value. Sending a CV only adds so much value, but are you actually offering a service with some kind of responsibility and accountability? Are you taking time off of the client's hands so you can do it for them?
