Your twenties are when to work hardest, not balance. Most recruiters are young, which means early effort builds the momentum that matters for your whole career.

The narrative is all focused around work-life balance. I just don't agree with it. I think your 20s, you should focus on working really, really hard and building the momentum to be able to position yourself to maximize your opportunities further down the line. How many 50-year-old recruiters do you know? The point I'm trying to make is you don't see many 40, 50-year-old recruiters within an organization, right? There's a reason for that. It's a young person's game. That's the truth of it, because it's a really, really tough job. So I think the key therefore is to work as hard as you possibly you can early on, really position yourself for career success, whatever that might be.
